...For the first time in ages I purchased Grazia magazine the other week. The magazine is published by EMAP plc with a cover price of £1.90. The first edition came out in 2005 and claims to be Britain's first weekly glossy, I understand that to mean a weekly version of Marie Claire, Glamour or Elle. It is more expensive than most other women's weekly magazines, but pro rata the aforementioned monthly glossies are cheaper than buying four editions of this. When I first bought the magazine a few years ago I was impressed with the good mix of designer and high street fashion, as well as 'quality' celebrity articles (as opposed to who as the 'worst cellulite in celebdom' type things) and news. Advantages: Nice clothes, grown up magazine
Disadvantages: none

...Grazia magazine has probably become my favourite magazine out at the moment. I think as I've grown older I have moved away from wanting to know what is happening in the Big Brother house (although I have never wanted to know and never watched the show) as told in Heat magazine and the like and feel I have also moved away from the problem pages "my boyfriend slept with my sister" in such magazines as Cosmo, etc. I am not looking either for magazines that let you take surveys to see if he really is the one or if your surname and star sign matches with his. I am however, still looking for fashion, interesting people stories and some celebrity news and for me Grazia has all of those things. Grazia - For Those Who Care What Celebs Are Up To!

Advantages: Not snobby, some good articles.
Disadvantages: Could read it very quickly.

...GRAZIA MAGAZINE For the purposes of this review I have read the issue dated 9th March. ***What's it like?*** This magazine is aimed at women and consists of 115 pages, with lots of adverts thrown in. Although there are lots of ads, instead of just Prasda there are some that are in reach of the ordinary consumer, such as TK Max and Aptamil etc. It doesn't appear overly snobby. It has a glossy front cover (this one is graced with Jennifer Aniston), but doesn't have the thick spine of it's dearer counterparts (Elle, Marie-Claire ect). Advantages: a good read

...My favourite weekly women's magazine and it stands up well to the monthlies, the Grazia is a weekly magazine hitting the shelves on a Tuesday morning and priced about the £2 mark. It is aimed at the Vogue/Elle style readers, differentiating itself from the other weekly magazines by being more fashion led and not too trashy or celeb driven. It has high end advertising which is also seen in the Vogue & Elle. It roughly comes in at 134 pages and the Editor in Chief is Jane Bruton. No secret - I loved this!

Advantages: Engaging read, positive feel-good chick lit with excellent characters
Disadvantages: Not an accurate acount of mystery shopping

Grazia - Grazia is the widow of a renowned and successful artist who has died leaving her with lots of debts and overheads. Grazia is a complex character who appears quite superior and isolated at the beginning of the story but, as the relationship between the three women develops into a genuine friendship, Grazia also starts to mellow and I felt genuine interest and compassion towards this woman and her uncertain future. Wow, it does the job!

Advantages: convenient smell, nice textutre, easy application
Disadvantages: spends a bit quickly ;-(

...is soft and smooth, almost velvety on touch. I think that even the mimic wrinkles (like lines from nose to lips from smiling or horizontal lines on forehead from anger) are less visible. The skin feels a bit dry immediately after application as it has to be rinsed and water makes me feel pretty dry. But as it should be followed by Multi-active Toner (Spray) and moisturizer, it's ok. Disadvantages: I don't think this would work as a stand alone book, you really need to read the first

...Early last year I read Kate Harrison's 'The Secret Shoppers Revenge' and liked it well enough. I'd enjoyed the mystery shopper angle, and thought that the characters were well written and believable, if certain elements were a little far fetched. I have to be honest though; after I'd read it I didn't give it much more thought. That was until I read a very good review of the second book in the series, 'Secret Shopper Unwrapped' here on Dooyoo, which piqued my interest. Until then I hadn't been aware that follow up had been released. Once again seduced by the extreme pretty front cover and the seasonal story it promised, I treated myself to a hardback version as a Christmas present to myself. Each time someone is murdered, a person meeting their description is seen at the scene of the next murder - someone is shedding his skin after each murder and putting on the skin of the murder victim, which he then changes at the next murder. He is nicknamed the Iguana. There is just one witness to these murders - a blind young man who spends his time locked in his room listening to scanners which pick up radio waves throughout the city.
