Advantages: Get to see Europe and UK at a reasonable cost
Disadvantages: Lots of driving, might not get park you want

...Hi all I have been on numerous holidays with the Sun deals and they are a fantastic bargain!! A few of my examples are: 1. Venetian Coast - Ca Savio - very easy and cheap to fly drive through Treviso. This park is right on the beach and very lovely with pine trees etc. The big plus though is the ferry from very close to the park which takes you to Venice!! Venice is so expensive to stay in the hotels and I found this a wonderful alternative. We also had a look at the Union Lido park when we were there and that looked fab too!! I tend to save a few tokens at the same time so that we can book the weekend (Fri - Monday) in one place, as we did with Ca' Savio and then drive on to another for the week (Monday - Fri) - in this case we drove up towards Bibione which is all very close and all along the beautiful coast. ...We have just booked a three night break through the Sun Newspaper holidays, this will be the fourth year we have participated and I felt it was a good time to share our experiences. For anyone who has never heard of this scheme, the first step is to collect the different numbered tokens in the Sun Newspaper. First time collectors will need seven tokens, those who have booked before need only six as you will receive a priority booking form shortly before the offer begins. There is also an option to book your break online, but again, this is only for those who have booked before and not all parks are included. Half way through the offer, the newspaper will have a 'pull out' which shows all the parks available, numbered and seperated into areas, little icons show what facilities and entertainment is avaliable and any service charges...

...Blackpool: the weekend of the 19-21 July. A group of punks and skins begins to filter into Britain?s most famous seaside resort, amassing steadily outside the Winter Gardens complex. ...Update: Last week I took my sun holiday after having the original problems stated below. We all set off looking forward to a family holiday, only to find that when we got to the site, they were refurbishing it, so we had no pool (we did have permission to use the pool at Ashford but it was 40 minutes drive away) The entertainment had been scaled right down and was in the bar that was a public bar situated right by a main road, so not very practical for children, and the entertainment was poor (we had paid extra for this). No Eating facilities they were all closed and we managed to get the only caravan that was dirty and had no curtains, all this for £98, If we had booked direct with the site rather than with the sun it would have cost us £90 and that was for a luxery caravan. We did end up paying an extra £30 for an upgrade so...

I didn?t. It?s all easy. When you can say these phrases, you go on to the next page. Two more mini-dialogues, saying ?excuse me?, saying where you?re from. The next set says you?re from the UK, there on holiday, and allows you to ask and give names. ...It is, I think, a good idea to confront one's prejudices from time to time, and it would be hard to be more prejudiced than I am against The Sun newspaper. I hardly ever see The Sun in the usual way of things, let alone read it, yet if you asked me to describe it I would have no difficulty in trotting out at least a dozen derogatory adjectives, the most polite of which you will see listed as "Cons" in the summary points above. The fact that The Sun is part of Rupert Murdoch's media empire only serves to redouble my bias against it. The trouble is that I'm such a sad case of bleeding-heart liberal that I'm not truly content to live with knowing I'm prejudiced.
