...In our house, we never bought cocoa - if we made cakes or had hot chocolate, Cadbury's drinking chocolate was pressed into service - but when I was a student stacking shelves in a supermarket, one of my favourite aisles to replenish was tea and coffee because we had packs of beans that could be opened so customers could grind them to whichever level of smoothness/coarseness they liked in the in-store grinder - it made the aisle smell fantastic. Lingering around the hot chocolate one day, I noticed this cocoa powder and decided I had to try it. ...Today , for the first time, I sampled Green & Black's Organic Creamy Vanilla White Chocolate. I had suffered from a bad migraine all morning, and had to work through it as I had an importnat piece of work to finish, so all in all, when lunchtime came, (not until 2pm, as i was so busy) I was feeling rather sorry for myself. ...Well after hearing and the hype and given my dads current health kick it seems that he fell for it all. Green and Blacks Organic Dark Chocolate is the subject of this review (although he has also bought one other type so that will be added in due course). The look of the packaging is very much exuding and air of class, it is dark brown with gold lettering with a black strip across the top where the type of chocolate is written also in the gold lettering - so in this case Dark 85%. The percentage refers to the amount of cocoa in this chocolate bar (so this 100g bar contains 85g of cocoa). They also tell you the type of cocoa bean used to produce this chocolate - in this case Trinitario cocoa beans.
