...Meet the parents / Meet the fockers are some of the funniest films i have seen. Meet the Parents is about a male nurse Greg Focker (Ben Stiller). Greg is planning to propose to his girlfriend Pam Byrnes (Teri Polo) but in order to do so he is going to ask her father Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) for his daughters hand in marrage, so they plan a weekend at there Pam's parents house to get to know each other and for Greg to do the business with Jack. But, what Greg doesnt know is that Jack is a veteran, recently retired CIA agent. Jack doesnt like his business known unless you are in Jack family "circle of trust". On the weekend Greg happen's to flood the sewage tank, set fire to the roof and garden and break Pam's sisters nose a few days before her wedding, Jack analyze's Greg's every move and ends up giving Greg a lie detecter test... ...Greg ! greg ! Greg ! what are you doin at the moment. He seems to have a few good results and then looses to some bod y who he should beat 0 and 0 but it never happens. He also sacks his coaches far to often and nevr gets any where further with a new one. I do not really pay close attention to a lot of his performaences but i do like to know how he is doing form time to time. Tim henman has done well but he has kept the same coach for a long time. ...Going out in the first round of wimbledon is bad enough, but to go out to spadea, somebody who had lost 21 games in a row, is a digrace to british tennis. Greg, used to be a quality tennis player with an amazing serve. Now, however, he can't win anything. The british No. 2 going out in the first round says nothing for the pathetic quality of tennis in Britain today. recently britain even dropped out of the world rankings and out of the davies cup, guess what, greg lost!!!! ...leads police to find the body of the missing woman in the pond belonging to Mr Reaves. But is he guilty or innocent? I felt somewhat disappointed if truth be told. The directing is fine, the feel to the film is fine. However… I expected more from such a great director and such a pool of good actors. I felt it was predictable and that the story flagged a bit. So it was, as I said, 'Okay.' Also starring: Giovanni Ribisi as Buddy Cole Katie Holmes as Jessica King Greg Kinnear as Wayne Collins So there you have, the re-write. Hope you like it. If this film had starred Norman Nobody instead of Keanu Reeves then would it have been a number one best selling video? I think not. ...stateside productions such as Friends, Frasier and Scrubs have gone down a storm in "dear old blighty" and similarly Monty Python and Benny Hill for example have been well received in the "colonies" but by and large the humours of Britain and the United States remain fairly exclusive to each other. I accept that that is a big generalisation and also that this review will be fairly biased (as I am English) but I will try to be as fair as I can. The basic premise is this, Gaylord "Greg" Focker (a name which in itself says something about the sophistication of the film) is settling into a comfortable relationship with Pam Byrnes, so comfortable in fact that he wants to pop the question. ...This is my favourite highstreet clothes shop. Practically all of my jumpers are Jane Norman. The reason for this is that they always look better quality than other highstreet brands and their designs are often unique. I love 'off the shoulder' style tops and girly styles, and Jane Norman definately caters for this. I have to say however that some of the fabrics used for their sweaters/jumpers tend to go bobbly. My sister took a jumper back to Jane Norman complaining that this had happened to her jumper after washing just two times. It looked as though the fabric had 'worn' on the arms. The customer service however was poor, the shop attendant simply said that Jane Norman fabrics do tend to wear in this way. But they offered no exchange or refund. Personally I've only had this problem with one of my jumpers and this was minor... Read review

...I would have to agree with the previos writer, who gets his hair cut at the great Norman's in Gateacre Village. Some people as the previous opinionist pointed out, many old people do sit there all day, but this is just down to the sheer quality of the personality of Norman, he is a true genius of conversation, and even though he's a red, he still poses respectful opinons on Everton. Some people say they go just frrom Norman, but I would say I go for more than just Norman. The prices are great, the magazines are greater and the haircuts, although he can only do one style they are very classy. Long live Uncle Norman.... Read review
