...This coffee mill has been in near daily use since 2004 when we found it in a homeware shop in Truro. At the time, the high price (as I thought at the time) concerned me, but a colleague and real coffee afficionado had been talking to me of the benefits of a burr mill for a number of weeks. He was right in every respect. A burr mill removes the variation in the grind size that you get in a blade based mill, and the coffee is subjected to a lower heat as it passes through the mill rather than remaining in the chamber while the blades continue to chop. This apparently helps the beans keep more of the oils that give the coffee its flavour. All I can attest to is that the coffee made with this mill is better than any I made with a blade grinder. The hopper will take around 200g of beans, and unscrews to allow cleaning when you change...

Strange Brew eh?

Advantages: Great film eh!!

...Strange Brew. What is it? Well, it?s a film about Bob and Doug Mackenzie and they are a pair of Dumbwits that are supposed to live in Canada. All they are interested in is Donuts, Beer and Hockey. They make a real stupid film and get stitched up by the brewery. That is all I am saying or I will spoil the plot for you!!! ~It?s a real old film (about 1982) and stars Rick Moranis in his early days. I really think you should watch this film if you like Canada and Hockey. Oh and Beer!!! Great quote from the film ? Take off you Hoser!?. Its hard to get hold of in UK but you can order it from special shops. Not as good as the hockey fillm Slapshot but quite funny....

Satan's Brew

...Special Brew, eh? The creme de la creme of Tramps' Stew style beverages. If you're drinking this rather than Tennants' Super, then you're obviously a higher class of hobo. It's not cheap, but that isn't really the point, because a pint of this stuff does things to you that normal pints will never do. I last had this stuff when I was sixteen but boy does it stick out in my mind even today. I drank three cans and proceeded to get lost in a field. I eventually came to after being enveloped in a nightmare for nigh on three hours, by which time I'd walked into a telegraph pole. Twice. It tastes worse than almost anything else I've ever tried. Only (a) tramps and (b) Chavs out to cause trouble, are ever going to drink this stuff habitually. This drink doesn't deserve any stars at all. In fact I'd give it negative stars if I could....

...In 1991 when Slave To The Grind came out, to be quite honest, I wasn't looking forward to the new Skid Row record. It didn't seem like no big deal, just another "cockrock" record was about to be unleashed & the world was getting pretty tired of all the pretty boy bands that were emerging, most of whom could be written off as one hit wonders. So many bands were coming out with only one, maybe two, good songs on an album and the rest of the album would be full of sappy, no good, filler. The dedicated rock audience was being ripped off on a daily basis. There were so many new releases of new bands that looked liked a throw back to earlier bands not to mention there poor attempt to copy a more sucessful sound. They stayed a Super Power for the better part of the 20th century through methods not everyone understands. The Higgs Bosson, true to form, grind very well, but not everyone understands exactly how. The design of the wheel is closer to an octagon than a wheel. I was expecting to stick, or not be able to come off of a grind smooth; I was wrong. I allowed Andrew Buist to skate the wheels for a while to give a wider variety of opinions towards the wheels. Andrew said, "The wheels are like an extension of the frame," that should give you an idea of how well these wheels were sliding and performing for us. ...Well well well .. me and the mighty Special Brew meet again and to be quite honest I'm glad theres a screen between me and the might lager as I can honestly say I've had some good times but oohhh I've definatly had some bad times on it! The first time I ever drunk this so called lager was at the age of 15 (nearly 5 years ago) in a park close to my home.
