It?s not what you?d call inspired. ?Grounded: Unaccompanied Minors? is the kind of movie that will find its home on DVD or the Christmas TV schedules because it fits the template for children?s films so neatly. Those under the age of ten may well chuckle their way through it as the stuntmen take all manner of harsh looking falls (mainly during the improvised sledge chase) and the kids get one over on the adults. But grown-ups may find themselves snoring through the cheesy dialogue, predictable shenanigans and schmaltzy ending. And if your young ?uns are prone to imitating what they see, you might want to supervise them while they watch because the many stunts don?t appear to have any negative consequences. It?s an entirely unremarkable movie in all aspects. Tell you what, if your age is in single figures, add another star....

Taking Curious Minds Under Ground

Advantages: Chock full of excellent learning. Well written and superbly illustrated.

...Give a little bit of credit to Steven Seagal: He has at least attempted to make a film that promotes an environmentalist message, when most continue to treat Planet Earth as a dumping ground, having no idea of the damage they're doing. He has also attempted to give his character some spiritual development, wanting to go beyond the usual macho stereotypes, made famous by the likes of Schwarzenegger, Stallone and Seagal himself. The bitch is back! (Spike: Expanded Edition - Elvis Costello)

Advantages: Smooth,more chilled than his other albums with a much slower pace.
Disadvantages: It took so long getting to us!

...Spike (1989) was well worth the wait, as there was nearly a two year gap between this album and Blood & Chocolate. But when I first put this album in my tape player (showing my age now), and I heard the first song ''This Town'' with lyrics like 'everybody in this town thinks your a bastard'; I sighed a hugh sigh of relief. Costello was back with more of those addictive comments of society that I love more than chocolate. The album uncharacteristically takes a slower pace with the second song "Let him dangle", a lazy jeering song with seriously dark undertones. Then it slows down even more with the third song (and my favourite) "Deep dark truthful mirror", the piano and trumpets in this are really spectacular in a relaxed easy way. ...Spike Dudley ; Commonly referred to as " Little " Spike Dudley - and rightly so as they are clearly mentioning his size in that statement, the reason? he is around 5'5 and 150 pounds (or as the commentators say " a buck 50 ") and so he does not have the look of a wrestler nor does he have the strength but he sure has the athleticism and heart of a wrestler. He does moves which quite frankly I at least; find hard to believe - such as where he is thrown around like a rag doll.
