...The Channels:
When I first received the Grundig 1500 I was looking forward to watching the same variety of channels in my room as I can downstairs, (we have the basic Virgin Media package) however, when I set it up (I'll go through the set-up process later) I found out that I had probably even more channels than I did downstairs. Just counting them all up now I have found that I can view around 90 television and radio channels/stations, including some like BBC 3 + 4, ITV 2,3,+ 4, Film 4, and of course those shopping channels!
Setting it up:
When I first got it out of the box the immediate thing I noticed was that I had no scart cable, so I looked in the instructions and sure enough it informed me that a scart cable did not come with the box, thankfully my brother had a broken freeview box (not this model) so I was able to use...

Review of Grundig 1500
Advantages: One off payment for a life times supply of extra channels Disadvantages: Does't give you access to sports channels, Sky 1 or any movie channels.
...your taste, Grundig have another upgraded model on the market, the GDT-1500. It is slightly larger in size but is curvier and looks modern. However this is reflected in the price.

If your button mad like me then your going to want to know the feel of the buttons! It has been designed with a curve so it sits snugly in your hand.

...Who Are Grundig?
Grundig are a lovely little company, well they are getting bigger by the day, that make technology products such as digital boxes.
What's Freeview?
Freeview is like sky but you don't have to pay. Instead of the normal five channels you get on any TV you can get over 60 with a simple box.
What's The Connection?
Grundig produces a digital terrestrial receviers.
These receviers are basicly what you find inside a television but because most televisions are out of date they haven't been designed to pick up the extra channels. So Grundig have produced a box which plugs into your television to receive these extra channels.
What Do I Get?

Review of Grundig GDT1500
.... The problem was choice - tons of it.
Then one day, I popped into Argos, and noticed a Sale catalogue - you know the ones, about a 10 page booklet for their Sale items. I noticed that they were selling this screen, at the reduced price of £999.00 - from the previous £1,500 that it was retailing for.
I went home, and decided to do a little research. Yeah the price was good, but if the quality was poor, then what would be the point. I checked out the Grundig website, and checked out the technical information on the screen. For those who are interested, then I have listed the technical information here for you ( Please dont flame my review, some people are genuinely interested in having such information - and yes I have taken this directly from the grundig website )

...I was lucky enough to receive this fine DAB radio for Christmas.
It was so simple to set up and within minutes i was listening to clear interference free music.
With a wide range of radio stations available i was able to listen to jazz one minute and the latest chart music the next.
You can preset up to 10 of your favourite DAB stations which saves a lot of time!
The Grundig Opus is also a neat looking radio which would not look out of place in any room in the house.
Later i listened using headphones and the sound was near cd quality with absolutely no interference.
All in all the Grundig Opus is great value for anyone looking for a digital radio for under £60 for everyday use in the family home....

Review of Grundig OPUS
Advantages: BIG SCREEN 32" Disadvantages: None that I can think of.
...I got burgled last year and had to go out and replace my telly with the help of a credit note payable to Dixons.
The scumbags pinched my 28" Sony t.v and I wanted to replace it possibly with a larger screen. Looking at the prices I couldn't find anything below £800 and didn't have enough to cover this.
I came across the Grundig MW 82-2699 32" Widescreen in Currys and despite getting a pretty poor demonstration decided that because of the offer price (£500) I would take it. This opinion is not to critique currys or any of its partnerships but when It was eventually delivered I wasn't there and my wife had took delivery of it so when I came home I gave it a bit of an inspection.
The t.v. was ok but the stand was chipped all around the top and I called them the next day to be told that it had been signed for and that there was...
Advantages: the only GPS with Microsoft ActiveSync, The only GPS that can work without a signal Disadvantages: price could have been lower
...I agree, Grundig nav100 is definitely far better than any tomtom!! Why is the tomtom so popular here anyway?? I have had nothing but problems with my tomtom? All this is going to change when this little beauty is available in the UK. Well actually you can get it now, I got mine from amazon UK for £399.99 but apparently it will be launched officially next year. You can also get it from Europe but with postage it will cost the same anyway.
Ok, now my review? I love the fact that a 5 year old can use this, it's the most user friendly GPS ever, and the screen is almost like a High Definition TV!! It is so easy to see it in any lighting conditions. It's got this excellent pop arrows which I've never seen on other systems, I read some where destinator and navteq built this unique map and pop arrows just for the NAV100 and it works like...

...I was running off a 14" TV and though its about time i upgrade!!!
I went round a few shops, savacentre, dixons, etc etc.. Their are loads of 21" TV's out their for as low as £89 (non-branded). So while looking i came across a model in Currys. It was a £99 TV with what they call super mono (2 mono speakers) so i measured up, went home and checked it would fit the cabinet, which it did.
I went back to purchase the TV but was drawn to the one next to it. A 21" Grundig, WITH NICAM at £129.99. SO i thought "what the hey, an extra £30 for a brand with Nicam".
I took it home, (after the sales staff carried it out and put it in the car, such nice chaps) unpacked it, and put it on the shelf.
Great looking, silver (like everything at the mo!!), slim speakers both sides (Nicam etc), Nice buttons ,solid with a nice feel, which are located...
