...I was lucky enough to receive this fine DAB radio for Christmas. It was so simple to set up and within minutes i was listening to clear interference free music. With a wide range of radio stations available i was able to listen to jazz one minute and the latest chart music the next. You can preset up to 10 of your favourite DAB stations which saves a lot of time! The Grundig Opus is also a neat looking radio which would not look out of place in any room in the house. Later i listened using headphones and the sound was near cd quality with absolutely no interference. All in all the Grundig Opus is great value for anyone looking for a digital radio for under £60 for everyday use in the family home.... Read review

...Got this sat nav as an early Christmas present for myself because so many people have said good things about it. I must say it's exceeded all my expectations. It is not your average sat nav system as it's a very high-tech device but very easy to use. Unlike the gentleman in the other review I found it to be very easy to install the speed cameras, you just have to click one button!! The beauty of this system is that the speed camera database is updateable monthly free of charge, this is not the case with many other sat navs. The system came with a double CD-ROM containing all the maps of Western Europe and also with its own destinator software, and the most exciting thing of all, Microsoft Outlook Activesync which is an invaluable piece of software. ...sound from Sky. On the speed side, the GDS200 handles Sky's electronic programme guide (EPG) very well, albeit a bit slow. Functions of the box can be accessed in two ways, either using the supplied standard Sky remote, or by the controls on the front of the box. The controls on the front panel of the box allow for basic operation of the box, including changing the channels and navigating through the EPG. As for picture and sound quality, this box is brilliant. Pictures are sharp and have little or no artifacting (pixelation caused by the MPEG compression) and the sound is of course CD quality, no more hissing on your favourite film or music channels. Although Sky do not give you the option of choosing which box you get, some independant installers do allow you to choose, and if you get the choice, then this box may be the one for you.... .... The problem was choice - tons of it. Then one day, I popped into Argos, and noticed a Sale catalogue - you know the ones, about a 10 page booklet for their Sale items. I noticed that they were selling this screen, at the reduced price of £999.00 - from the previous £1,500 that it was retailing for. I went home, and decided to do a little research. Yeah the price was good, but if the quality was poor, then what would be the point. I checked out the Grundig website, and checked out the technical information on the screen. Advantages: Abover average sound, good easy to sue features, looks smart and well priced.
Disadvantages: Playing material recorded on it is poor

...I have worked at Dixons for 18 months now and high indepth knowledge (yes some Dixons employees do know what they are talking about) and as I specialize in audio I have sued most hi-fi systems available. My opionion on all Grundig products is very low. The last Gundig I bought was a long time ago and it broke down three times. Grundig are economy manufatures. Yes their prices are good but AIWA do some very good budget systems for not much extra and the differnence in quality amazing (MD-300 for one). You mayu have also come across Matsui (Dixons own budget brand), Venturer, Pro Line, Bush and, Alba and Goodmans. All these are made my Grundig using the same parts. ...Having been listening to digital radio for a while now, courtesy of cable TV, I was on the lookout for a portable version that I could take with me on my commute.The advantages were obvious - crystal clear sound, no interference, no need to keep retuning on the go. But then digital radios are expensive, aren't they? Did the reality live up to the promise? Well yes and no. THE PRODUCT I took advantage of a delayed flight to spend some time in Dixons tax-free at Luton airport. They had five or six portable models on display, and in the end I went for the Grundig GRD300 for several reasons. The product itself is compact, about the size of a pack of fags, but not quite as thick. It's silver, with rubber on the sides, which makes holding it easy. ...I got burgled last year and had to go out and replace my telly with the help of a credit note payable to Dixons. The scumbags pinched my 28" Sony t.v and I wanted to replace it possibly with a larger screen. Looking at the prices I couldn't find anything below £800 and didn't have enough to cover this. I came across the Grundig MW 82-2699 32" Widescreen in Currys and despite getting a pretty poor demonstration decided that because of the offer price (£500) I would take it. This opinion is not to critique currys or any of its partnerships but when It was eventually delivered I wasn't there and my wife had took delivery of it so when I came home I gave it a bit of an inspection. The t.v. was ok but the stand was chipped all around the top and I called them the next day to be told that it had been signed for and that there was nothing... Read review

..., STOP and SKIP this may be a problem if you lose you remote or it is damaged as you will not beable to use most of the functions. Last note: You do get 1 years cover with this product but i also suggest that you pay for the extra cover for 4-5 years as this is a CD, LASER based product. ...After seeing this product advertised in Currys, I was pleased to see that it was also on sale. The retail price at the time of buying was £299.99 and considering what's in the package, this is a very good bargain. The Grundig GDV520 is a DVD player, similar to the other Grundig models. It is pretty robust and has a nice exterior, although the silver finish is not to everyone's liking. The machine itself is very easy to use and has all the functions of a top-of-the-range player. The remote control even glows in the dark, useful for all those late night film watching sessions! The on-screen menus are simple to get to grips with and the pictures are all self explanatory. It has a nice speaker sound set up as well so you can test the Dolby Surround functions and get the speakers set up just right for your room. This is where we get... Read review
