...do thats why our main hoover is a specialist pet hoover. It was a bargain price being under £30 and is very good value for money. I would definately recommend it to anyone wanting a smaller hoover/sweeper for their home....

Review of Gtech SW10 Electric Sweeper

GtechSwo2 for Cleaning thats less of a chore!

Advantages: Lightweight, rechargeable and easy to empty.
Disadvantages: Battery life of a couple of years seems a bit poor.

...My mother bought me this little sweeper as she has always been pleased with hers. I have trouble carrying a heavy vacuum up and down stairs so this is really handy for those quick whiz round cleans inbetween struggling with the big vac. this is a rechargeable model, I am not sure how long it takes to reach full charge as i tend to plug it in when I have finished what i am doing and then unplug when I remember. On a full charge it is supposed to clean a 5 bed house but mine isn't quite that big so it always managed my hall,lounge,study,dining room and stairs and landing with no problem. The sweeper is not very noisy either, the children don't grumble too much if I am trying to clean and they are watching telly! The sweeper is exceptionally light and so very easy to manouevre. The model I have is silver and purple so looks neat...

A knockout sweeper from Ewbank

Advantages: Lightweight, sturdy electricity not needed...the list goes on.
Disadvantages: Hard to get into corners and tight spaces with it.

Dont buy it Ewbank 940 Power sweeper

Disadvantages: A dancing dustpan which empties itself on your carpet, not robust and poor customer service

...February 2008 I purchased a Ewbank 940 Power sweeper. Immediately on unpacking I saw there was no manual. I sent an e mail to Ewbank and they responded with an attached Adobe File. Putting it together I found the handle swivelled round so I sent this back and it was replaced. Quickly I discovered that it worked on a flat thin carpet sometimes chugging but not on mats I had which are 1.25 cm deep. The dustpan tipped over depositing its contents on the mat. Within the guarantee 12 mth period it stopped charging, further e-mails were sent and two batteries were despatched to me to replace those inside the dustpan cavity. I could not remove the contacts from the old batteries as I have weak hands. As well the tubes of the long handle fit together with pressure and plastic screws between the ends of each tube. The Chimney Sweepers Boy - One to read again

Advantages: Really well thought out plot that keeps the reader guessing
Disadvantages: Some themes that don't bear relevance

This immediately led me to think that it was a chimney sweep, as per the title, but it took several chapters for this to be revealed. This made the book feel a bit slow at times, with the reader wanting to hurry the book on as they already knew who he was. After this fact was established and Sarah talks to her ?real? family, does she find out what her father was really like and starts to find out who he was. The Chimney Sweepers boy has recently been republished and the cover picture has been changed. On looking at the new cover, before reading the book, showing a pair of scissors tied up in a red ribbon, it shows that the story might be about a murder...

Not a great alternative to the trusty hoover!

...I was bought this when I first moved into my new home and I guess it came in useful but it didn't work as well as it's meant to and I didn't wait long before saving up to buy a decent dyson instead!! This swivel sweeper is meant to be a cheap alternative to a hoover. It has rotating brushes which suck up the dust and dirt from your floor and then you just have to empty it straight into the bin. It is really light, nothing like a hoover! So it was really useful when I was pregnant as it wasn't too heavy to carry up the stairs which is always a bonus I guess. It's meant to work on all floor types- carpets or laminate... however I did find it really quite hopeless when on carpet, I had to run over the same patch about ten times before it would pick everything up and i had to press down pretty hard so it took ten times as long as it...
