Advantages: wide range of cars and classes, smooth animation, playability Disadvantages: need a good performance PC, online idioits, hard to play with keyboard
...Overview:
As the name suggests GTR2 is the sequel to the popular GT-R and is also produced by the people resposible for GT Legends (GTL)
The cars included are frombased on the official FIA GT championship and includes four classes. GT, GT2, GT3 and NGT.
Installing
The game comes on DVD-ROM so you will need a DVD-Rom drive to install it, also a decent sixed hard drive with empty storage available, although unlike GTL there is only one copy protection code so it makes things slightly easier. The manual explains how to install, but if you have installed games before, this should be "old hat" by now.
Like most modern racing sims, you will need a decent graphics card to get the best out of this, infact the game may not play at all if your system specifications are too low.
Also one the game is installed, I would recommend...
Advantages: Performance i.e. 0-60mph in 4.9secs as standard, fun factor, tuning options Disadvantages: Expensive to fix, mpg, interior
...My first review!... it shall be about something that gave me ALOT of pleasure and some headaches... this is my experience and not drawn from other reviews.
I was lucky enough to own an olde-worldy 1992 GT-R in 2006 for 1 year.
She was black, a Cat D damaged car (that had been repaired - not a very good repair). It was fairly standard (for a Skyline), apart from a 'stage 1 chip' (no proof of this), an aftermarket s/s exhaust, aftermarket airfilter, turbo-timer, grooved brake disks, 18" anthracite 7 spoke alloys (expensive).
Condition wise it wasn't the best... it had been resrayed in parts but not to a very high standard. The engine (78k miles) appeared and proved itself to be reliable and strong... no strange noises, always started. Brakes were fine, very strong. Interior was good, drivers seat slightly worn.
Thoughts on the car...

Review of Nissan Skyline
Advantages: Supersonic Cruise Machine Disadvantages: Not many
...from the driving experience, and it's blisteringly quick, despite the throttle lag below 3000rpm. Power has been restrained to satisfy Japanese restrictions and the maximum speed is held at 155mph to appease European sensibilities. But it's the phenomenal acceleration which matters most in a country with a 70mph limit. The Skyline is roomy and well-equipped, too, though a trifle drably-trimmed. You can have the Japanese imports delimited and it isn't as costly as you'd imagine. You'll need a delimiter which looks just like a little black box (and maybe with speed you could do with a Black Box). You'll also need someone with sound electrical knowledge. You do get instructions with the delimiter but I wouldn't try doing it yourself. You'll redline at 8000rpm.
The GT-R has a nice computer multi-function display showing torque, power...

Review of Nissan Skyline
Advantages: Realism, Gameplay, In Car View, Attention to Detail Disadvantages: Challenging, You Need a Steering Wheel
...GTR 2 has become the benchmark in racing simulation technology. Quite simply there is no racing game you can buy that is more realistic. It makes Forza motorsport feel like a Need for Speed title. So you're going to have to ask yourself...can you hack it?
The game does throw a lifeline in the shape of driving aids and a great in depth driving school. The driving school is a great way to familiarise yourself with the highly detailed tracks in the game. From simply driving in a straight line, to trying to beat your instructor around a racetrack, there are plenty of tutorial lessons to bring you up to speed.
But even when you hit the track ready, driving aids a plenty, this game demands a lot of respect. The extremely detailed physics engine can potentially throw your car into the barriers in a fireball (its pretty cool!). Slightly...
Advantages: Detailed setup for the cars, realistic physics, good car details Disadvantages: Trackside graphics could be better, in game music is not brilliant
...GTR is probably one of the most realistic racing games that you can buy, because the physics engine used the testing data from the cars, provided by the FIA.
There are three modes available to choose from when you load up the main menu. There is the arcade mode, semi-pro (a simulation where there are various assists available to help you) and simulation (where assists are reduced, and the physics are very realistic).
=
Arcade mode
This option is for those who do not wish to spend time tweaking their car setup with the myriad of options available in the simulation modes. There are four levels, ranging from sunday driver (full assists, slowest AI, 3 laps, 3 AI cars, damage turned off) through to speed demon (no assists, fastest AI, 9 laps, 9AI cars, damage to full). When you have chosen the appropriate level of difficulty...

...of new cars on the game such as,the mighty Veyron, BMW M6, Escort Cosworth, the new nissan skyline gtr but no Subaru Impreza I wonder why such a good car?
Pro's
Excellent Graphics
New Cars
Very Realistic
Huge Map
Con's
Always daytime
Always sunny
Game feels a bit laggy when ever I crash into something like a petrol station that has an explosion.
Overall I rate this game 9/10 and would recommend it to any one who is a fan of car games the only thing is its very addictive I completed it in 4 days....
...This is the review of the Nissan Skyline GTR but there is an interesting story that goes with it dating back over 50 years.
After the Second World War Japan's industries were left decimated & car makers were forced to produce commercial vehicles as no one had any money to buy cars. In the late 1940s Japan slipped into a recession with high inflation, there was high taxes linked to motor cars.
Of the commercial vehicles that were produced they weren't very good, industrial relations were poor & strikes were common place. Japan had little idea on how to produce a mass produced vehicle & took advice from the world's biggest car producers, America & Britain.
By the early 1950s many of the car companies built western vehicles under license from American & British companies. One of them was Nissan who built the British Austin A55 under...

Review of Nissan Skyline
Advantages: Very exfoliating. Disadvantages: The cap needs some serious work. Volume of scrubby wash should be slightly increased.
...experience. I personally quite like the exfoliation properties of this wash. Your skin really does feel like the bad layer has been peeled or "scrubbed" away after you've used it. The bad thing is it can quite easily fall off your hands (you may or may not know what i mean!)
Ability to scrub and clean - 4/5
It says to use 2 or 3 times a week. Understandable considering it's wear-away properties. i use it every 3 days.
Smell wise it's not too bad, nothing that will make your nose fall off and nothing that will cause you to sniff it 24/7. Smell - 3/5
I allow GtrPlyr on DooYoo to also use this review....
