Gucci Got It Right

...As anyone who reads my other reviews will know, I am an absolute perfume addict. I was browsing through eBay a week ago when I came across Gucci Eau De Perfume II for an excellent price. I knew what this perfume smelt like and knew that I liked it so I placed a bid? and won it for an incredible £4! Packaging The bottle comes inside a baby pink box which has the Gucci logo embossed on the front. The box is quite plain and simple but very girly because of the colour. The bottle is square shaped while the lid is round making the bottle look quite elgant and certainld different from other bottles. The bottle and lid are made from thick glass. Gucci II

Advantages: Fruity and feminine, pretty bottle
Disadvantages: Expensive as it is a desinger perfume

...I quite enjoyed writing my last review about perfume, so thought I would write another review on another on my favourite fragrances, Gucci II. The Box and Bottle The Gucci II perfume bottle comes in a baby pink box which is really girlie and feminine. The Gucci logo is embossed across the front of the box. Although the box is quite simple, with no major decorations or pictures on it, it still feels feminine and almost elegant. The bottle itself comes in the shape of a square and the lid to the bottle is circular which makes quite a stunning contrast. Review of Gucci Pour Homme II EDT Spray

Be a Gucci Goddess with a true love potion.

Advantages: A strong long lasting scent that settles, classic perfume and bottle.
Disadvantages: Quite strong at first, expensive, an autumn/winter fragrance.

A watch for the 21st century

Advantages: Technical features, no batteries, accurate, good looking, Japanese

...I once took my battery operated watch to a well known high street jeweller to have the battery replaced, I was told it would only take 5 minutes & cost £4.99, it actually took 30 minutes & cost me £9.99 as they had problems with the battery. When I took it home the small stop watch function wouldn't work & the built in alarm didn't work either. I took it back & explained it was OK before they touched it, but they refused to accept liability so I was left with a watch that never worked properly again. On another occasion another jeweller presented with a different watch stated that the movement was faulty & would cost approx £75.00 to replace, I left the shop & purchased a battery for 99p from Maplin, fitted it myself (this one had a small slot on the back to access the battery) & has worked perfectly since. ...Gucci Rush is a fragrance that has been around for a while now and has made its impact both as a womans and a mens fragrance. The unique and modern design of the bottles itself is not everybody's cup of tea, however it smells absolutely fantastic. My Rush has a very wooden, very timeless fragrance, it seems the whole bottle is filled with exotic sawdust. There is however a downside to the product range: it leaves a rash behind (and you thought there was a spelling mistake in the title). I have tried the Eau de Toilette, the deodorant and the Aftershave, and all of them have given me some sort of skin problem. The After Shave was the worst, even after washing my hands the substance was powerful enough to make my lips swell after touching them with my hands. ...My last watch has been with me for more than 10 years. It has been reliable until the past couple of years. It started mis-behaving, require constant battery changes, (a sure sign that the watch is dying), and frequently stopping whenever I fly. So last Christmas, I decided to buy myself an eco-driven citizen watch. An eco-drive watch uses light energy to run itself. The light source can be sun (solar) or an incandescent lamp (such as in an office environment). The watch uses a solar panel, in this case, its the face dial, to convert light into electrical energy which is stored in a special energy cell. This allows the watch to last a long time without seeing any light, suitable for those of us who hibernate (Ha!); for those of us with very long winters and constantly wearing long sleeve clothes or just forgetting to charge it up...

Charming little watch

Advantages: charges constantly when its in the light
Disadvantages: i work at night and usually dont see the light

...My 'friend' decided i needed a special present this year for christmas and bought me the Citizen Ecodrive Charm bracelet watch. It's one which has been advertised quite alot in womens magazines, and it is very pretty and a bit different. The bracelet is a basic silver coloured bracelet, attatched are five small handbag charms, one is plain silver colour, the other four have stones in different design 'handbags', the colours are pink, blue, yellow and clear. The watch itself is a slightly larger handbag shapewith clear 'diamonds' around the face and a blue pearly looking face. Its pretty and sparkles nicely which keeps him as amused as it does me, but then again hes amused by some very simple things - british money for one. The second of these watches that I own is also the silver coloured version but this time has shell shaped charms...

...GUCCI ENVY is pure sophistication bottled. It has a light, yet strangely allurig fragrance that is suitable for both light, carefree days and also long, dazzling nights. The bottle just about speaks for itself. The long, rectangular bottle is classic and unfussy. The perfume is a rich gold colour - shining through the glass bottle. ..., I don't think this was the best Idea that I had ever had, but sa la vie as thay say. I was brought 2 popular brands, Kourus and Gucci rush. In hindsight again I would like to think that the lady was on comission to sell thease brands.....and I fell for it like a fish to water. Firstly kouros was an old brand tried and tested, popular, but I knew this already, the Gucci rush I hadn't heard of. This was rare I thought!, not many would have this one! ...I had this watch bought for me as a 21st birthday present from my father. It is a nice looking watch, with an analogue display as the main part, and a small digital display aswell. There are also three small dials which show a 24 hour time, a 12 hour time, and the mode you are in. It has a countdown timer, a chronograph, date and time etc. and it can give you the time in 30 different countries. I was impressed with the spec and the appearence of the watch. And it functioned perfectly for about three years. Then it sort of stopped. The anologue stopped moving, and the digital display froze on one time. I took the watch back to Argos where it had originally been bought. They were helpful and sent it back to the manufacturer, explaining that I may have to pay for repairs, since it was out of warranty. I grudgingly accepted...
