Review of Guerlain L'Instant Magic

Guerlain Insolence Eau de Toilette - a little bit too bold

Advantages: Fairly pleasant scent; beautiful bottle; very good staying power
Disadvantages: Doesn't smell as expensive as it is; rather heavy and old-fashioned

...I bought a selection of mini perfumes from Boots as a treat for myself - it was reduced to £8 and contained five fragrances so I thought that was pretty good value, and I really enjoy trying new perfumes. I had previously seen an advert for Guerlain Insolence. What struck me about that was that I really didn't like the name; insolence is defined as 'an arrogant, insulting or bold mode of conduct or attitude'. To me that doesn't seem anything to aspire to; perhaps they were aiming at a vaguely 'rebellious' teenage market, which would also explain why it's the sponsor for the programme Gossip Girl, which thankfully I have never had to watch. Advantages: Beautiful products

My skin looks more toned and radiant the next day, or you can use it to give your skin an instant lift when its needed and it actually helps with my under eyebags!! Its fine on oilier T zones and moisturising on the dryer patches. It smells of roses. Midnight Star These are capsules you use under your makeup before you apply your foundation, i have used the capsules which were far too expensive for everyday use. This was my most recent purchase and was £40 for a few small ampules. I loved them though. Meteorites Lipgloss Very pretty, multi coloured layers of pretty lipgloss but it had a heavy scent and i found it drying. The ideas of the layers were lovely, but once you took out the wand they layers mixed anyway...

...I know its another Avon review and I do promise to review something else very soon but I just had to review Avon's dry nail varnish product "Instant Manicure." Ok so as usual my story begins with my browsing the latest Avon Brochure around a month ago. I had seen Instant Manicure advertised before but as I have always bitten my nails have never bothered trying it. Anyway, Of late I had managed to grow my nails and feeling quite proud of this I though I might treat myself. The brochure states Instant Manicure is instant dry nail colour, The manicure set comes with a set of two 8 self adhesive strips that go on dry and last up to 14 days without Chipping. Advantages: Tastes quite nice, inexpensive, great shaped 'jar'
Disadvantages: Nothing really special, doesn't come with any 'extras'

...of the spiel on the jar I found that I could ‘Unwind with the new improved taste of Maltesers instant hot chocolate malt drink. A delicious hot chocolate treat you can share anytime with a friend, or all by yourself. A lighter way to enjoy chocolate!’ Mmm… I wonder if it tastes a bit maltesery! I was quite surprised by how much it guided you to use. 5 heaped teaspoons in a mug/cup and then top up with hot water. Alternatively this amount can be mixed with cold water in a cup/mug and then microwaved for 1½ to 2 minutes (yuck! – haven’t tried this option myself). I was also slightly disappointed to find that it was just an instant hot chocolate malt drink – when I opened the lid – easier said than done – although it has a ‘lip’ on it, it is quite stiff and slightly awkward to take off...
