Oakleigh Guest House

Advantages: A warming, pleasant atmosphere with spotless rooms and good service
Disadvantages: Decor not particularly modern

...I currently live in Stourport on Severn in the heart of Worcestershire and recently had some distant relatives come to visit for the weekend and we needed somewhere for them to stay as our house just wasn?t big enough to accommodate the whole family. In the end we decided to book a couple of rooms at the Oakleigh Guest House as I had heard good reviews on the place from friends. ~Location~ Oakleigh Guest House is situated right in the heart of Stourport on Severn town centre so is in a perfect location to access all the local amenities. However it is situated far enough away from the main High Street so that you don?t get the noise from the pubs on a Friday and Saturday Night. The guest house is situated on York Street in Stourport on Severn and is situated right next to the canal lock and overlooks the basin and river which...

Fathers Guest House, great place in the Cameron Highlands

Advantages: Location, views, surroundings
Disadvantages: Disappointing dorm room

...Fathers Guest house has the perfect location on a small hill overlooking the tiny town of Tanah Rata in the Cameron highlands. Situated outside the town, but only a 3 minute walk into it, it has fantastic views and is tranquil but still has access to any activities the town has to offer. If you call the owners in advance letting them known when you will arrive then they will collect you from the town and save the walk up the hill with heavy bags. They also tend to be one of the touts who wander the bus drop off area and so if you arrive by bus then there is almost always someone there who you can ask to get a lift up the hill. Driving up towards the guesthouse the first thing that is obvious is that this is a beautiful area. The views from the top go right across the town and amongst the rolling hills of the area. The Cameron highlands...

ST IVES THIRTY EIGHT YEARS AND STILL MAGIC

Advantages: FAMILY FRIENDLY
Disadvantages: Still looking for any.

...surrounded on 3 sides by the Sea. The light seems to have a special quality, no wonder the Artists flocked and still flock there. We returned year after Year, with first a Daughter to followed by another daughter then a son. What a brilliant resort for a family. It has always been a BEACH resort not ARCADE resort like Blackpool or Skegness. Family entertainment here is cheap if not free. Our days used to be Breakfast at 2 Island Road, the Guest House Tre Uther run by the loveable REG RUTLEDGE late of YORKSHIRE his advert said. What a brilliant child friendly place that was, meal times would be turned in to a hunt for the END OF THE RAINBOW when one of the kids wanted some Gold on their pudding. Sadly St IVES LOST Reg a few years ago but I am sure there will be hundreds of families that had their holidays enhanced by that guy...

CAFFE PASTA ST IVES CORNWALL

Advantages: Good Large portions of pasta
Disadvantages: Lasagna, not as good as Steve makes

...This is one of my favourite eating Places in St Ives Cornwall. In 2008 we were not able to use it as there had been a fire in the building, which was badly damaged and took oabout a year to restore it, which as it was a listed building had to be back to how it was. It is located on Wharf Road so overlooks the Harbour. It has about 40 covers so is not overly large, but as it is popular Booking is strongly advised, even when we visit St Ives in October. As the name of the place CAFFE PASTA PIZZA suggests that is the main things on the menu, but there are also Steaks. The staff are very attentive without being obtrusive, and they obviously have been well trained with a good work ethic. Starters :- Soup, on the nights we were in Was Green Pea one night and Wild Mushroom the other. What I like is that you get a Large...

An excellent guest house, hotel to stay in islamabad

Advantages: Prompt service, Personal attention paid each guest by the management, Worth the price
Disadvantages: Not any as of i remember

...I stayed at at five other small hotels and guest houses in Islamabad Pakistan before I found the New Cape and I believe you would be hard-pressed to find a better place in Islamabad for the price. The house is a large villa which is immaculate and spacious with hi-speed Internet, and large rooms with plenty of light. I was fortunate to have a huge balcony as well. The house is centrally located in an upscale, quiet and secure residential neighborhood within walking distance between the two nicest markets in the city, which host good best bookshops, clothing stores, bakeries and restaurants. However, the traditional Pakistani food served at the guest house is excellent and all the dishes I ordered tasted homemade. The owner, Karim, is very friendly and will gladly try to assist you with any assistance you may need. (I didn't have...

15 THE WARREN OLD COTTAGE ST IVES CORNWALL

Advantages: VIEWS VIEWS VIEWS
Disadvantages: Had to come home.

...If you are looking for a Holiday Cottage with all mod cons, stop now, but if you want one with a view to die for and great location read on. On our 39th Annual Visit to St Ives I thought I would give 15 The Warren a go. When ever I had done an availability search on WWW.STIVESHOLIDAYS.COM this cottage had often showed as available. What could be the problem I thought, so being inquisative I booked it. For the Week 11-18th October it would be £300, not the cheapest option but far from the dearest. This includes all Gas and Electric. Also payable is a returnable £100 damage deposit. This cottage sleeps 3. It is located on a street named the Warren, just two minutes from the Train Station and Bus Station, so ideal if like us you arrive by public transport. You enter through a Blue Wooden Front Door, ahead of you is...

St Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish Fighting

Advantages: Great Scrub that does what it says ib the Packaging!
Disadvantages: May not be suitable for people with dryer skin types.

...This Review is on The St Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish Fighting. It is reccommended for people with Oily / Blemish Prone Skin. I first heard about this particular product when i was watching a Make-Up video on youtube. The lady in the video praised this product so i decided to buy it. It says on the lable that it "helps prevent blackheads and unclogs pores. Promotes healthier - looking skin in just 7 days". So what do i think about this St Ives Formula? WOW. I love this product. It is affordable at around £4.00 and this is a great price considering the scrub actually works for me. It has small ground up exfoliating beads and this removes the dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. This helps unclog pores around your face and therefore reducing the risk of breakouts. It is not a harsh product, as some exfoliaters can...

The Doll's House Restaurant, St Andrews

Advantages: great selection of food, good cheaper options, nice ambience
Disadvantages: feeling rushed, rubbish veg selection

...The Doll' House Restaurant in St Andrews is a very popular restaurant among tourists, locals, students, and St Andrews very cosmopolitan transient community. It is owned by Simon Littlejohn (of Littlejohn's restaurants) and Alex Knight, who I think have owned it for about 13 years together. The Doll's House Restaurant is the flagship restaurant of the group 'House Restaurants' - which also include - The Grill House (St Andrews), The Glasshouse (St Andrews) and The Riverhouse (Stirling). All of these restaurants have their own style, ambience, and each focuses on a particular genre of food. The Doll's House is a bistro style restaurant which claims it focuses on Scottish cuisine with a French twist - which I think in the majority is true - but their Hungarian Goulash, and the Cantonese monkfish stirfry which I saw on the menu...
