Vox VT15 Guitar Amp

Advantages: LOADS of features. Good sound. Quite versatile!
Disadvantages: Some may find it confusing to understand, get the sound they want etc. Some presets lack the oomph

...I got this for £155 The Vox VT15 is one of these modeling amps. It has: "VOX Valve Reactor circuit that uses a 12AX7 to produce real tube power amp sound" Just the one 12ax7 tube. Speaker wise it has 1x 8 inch 4 ohm speaker, Vox "original" they say it is. Now for the overwhelming amount of features this lil bugger has! . 22 amp models . 3 banks for each amp model (so 66) . 12 effects . 22 song presets . 4 channels letting you save 2 of your own sounds in each (so 8) . A power level switch at the back so you can turn down the amp down from 15W down to 0.2W. Other features like many amps it has a headphone socket but this one is a 3.5mm one unlike most, the smaller kind. May be more convenient but for this you pay in sound quality via headphones. An extremely versatile and reliable guitar!

Advantages: The classic bread and butter of our time - beautiful and brilliant
Disadvantages: expensive and daunting to a beginner

...off strat and have never looked back. I have heard horror stories about people going through a plethora of poor guitars and setups. This guitar covers a very wide range of sounds, i can play blues, punk, rock and heavy metal without any trouble coupled with my Line 6 Spider 6 amp. Besides the obvious bonus of being able to pose with it for a sexy Facebook picture, this guitar is extremely well built and easily capable of virtually any noise you want to produce with the right amp. I bought mine off eBay after a month of hard research and questionning to make sure i wouldn't make a mistake or be ripped off. As long as you are patient and realistic, it isn't hard to snap one of these beauties up at about £200 on eBay. Seriously, what are you waiting for, if you can't play it then hang it on your wall!...

Amped Out!

Advantages: Very Funny, really quirky, very good to pick up and play, value for money ++

...Amped 3 is the third game in a line of snowboarding games from Indie Built/2K Sports and it expands on the previous two games in the fact that again it is a X-Box exclusive. The game was released with the console as part of the launch line ups therefore one of the first next generation games available. Amped 3 is as i said a snowboarding game, but there are things in this game which set it apart from rivals such as the SSX series. Not only is your character fully customisable from what hair style they have to what shoes they wear and everything inbetween, Amped 3 is also a sandbox game but i will come onto that later in the review. Watch out Rock Band, Guitar Hero is back.

Advantages: Gameplay now on a par with the Rock Band series. Excellent feature set on the Wii.
Disadvantages: Very expensive if you've not already got the instruments. Some songs are a bit obscure.

My little bundle of joy arrived through my letter box yesterday morning (the day after the release date) delivered from HMV.com with free delivery, totalling £26.99 (with student discount). In the box, you get the add-on part with the coloured buttons that you insert into the GameBoy Advance slot on your DS, a seperate attachement that you have to use if you are using an old style DS, a plectrum stylus, the game catridge, a game case, two sticker sheets and the instructions - though don't ask me what they say, I figured I would work everything out along the way. A great British guitar amp

Advantages: Great, and flexible sound at all volume levels
Disadvantages: Could be even more flexible

...I bought this amp after having spent some quality time with a Park G10. To say the difference blew me away would be putting it mildly. Where the Park had one flat sounding channel with the volume varying wildly depending on how much gain was applied, the Marshal has three channels. One clean (With a special boost button to add even more sparkle to your sound) and two distortion channels. The distortion channels unfortunately share an EQ section, but the second channel does have an independent Contour control. Each channel has independent volume and each distortion channel has independent gain, each with a different sound. You also get an effects loop with variable dry/wet ratio, a ?Power Dimension? button, that makes the amp sound like it?s working hard while keeping the volume down, clean and distortion reverb levels, headphone socket...

Rock out with Guitar Hero III, wirelessly.

Advantages: Enjoyable, Easy to learn, Play on multiple levels, hours of play time.

...Years ago my friend, Henri, introduced me to Guitar Hero and I was hooked. Unfortunatally I only had a PC so I had just admire Guitar Hero from afar. Then when my house bought a Wii I just new that I had to get Guitar Hero and I was even luckier because HMV was selling it for £35 compared to the original and expensive £70. I have also seen it in CEX (The second hand electronic store), but it was expensive there as well at £60. For my £35 pounds I got: 1x Wireless Guitar, 1X Wii Game Disc (Legends of rock), 1X sheet of stickers to personalise the guitar. "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock" is a sequeal in the Guitar Hero (GH) series. Others include GH Metallica, GH ... The game disc is compatible with Guitar Hero Wii Guitars and so could be purchased separatly as just an addition to your GH collection. The best place to buy the game...
