...Another enjoyable game in the guitar hero series and another guitar available to buy. It has a good track listing and will keep you playing it for days if not hours. New features such as boss battles where you can duel against Slash and other famous guitarists, this adds a new dimension to the game play. The new wireless guitar is better built than the previous version but the buttons seem a bit harder to press. This can cause you to get guitar cramp quite quickly if you play the game for long periods. Downloadable content available from Xbox live and is backwards compatible with previous downloaded content from Guitar Hero 2. Highly enjoyable but would've liked cheaper and more varied downloads from Xbox live to enhance the longevity of the game.... Read review

Disadvantages: Track list is hardly "Rock" few songs are likable. Guitar Hero 2 is better

...First on the Xbox 360 was guitar hero 2, such a great game. For some reason Neversoft got hold of the rights and, in a way, have turned guitar hero 3 into a failure. Of course guitar hero 3 was always going to well whether the game was any good or not, simply because of the greatness of guitar hero 2. Please just read this review before buying guitar hero 3. THE GAME If you have never played a guitar hero game then this is how the game works. You have a replica guitar which is very cool and a great idea. It consists of five differently colored buttons at the top end of the guitar where the fret board is. Then there is the strum bar where you would obviously strum the guitar strings, and not to forget the Whammy bar which I will come to later. ...This has to be the guitar hero with the most well known songs . And once again , a very addictive game . The songs include : welcome to the jungle by guns and roses , one by metallica , same old song and dance by aerosmith , paranoid by black sabbath , raining blood by slayer and much , much more . In this game there are various modes: career mode , where you go through different gigs and then become a rock hero , co-op where you can do the same with a friend , online , if you have wireless access and practice if there is a song you just can't seem to get passed . If you don't like using the guitar you can use your controller , if this helps . Overall an addictive game with great songs and you basically just have fun and rock out!... Read review

...task is to hold the right note and strum at the right time, thus playing the note in the song. Simple premise. Unbelievably satisfying, addictive, challenging and fun. So Guitar Hero 3. I'd already played every track on Guitar Hero 2 and it's predecessor a hundred times before the eagerly awaited item arrived. Initial impressions? Disappointment. I didn't like the graphical change from the rest of the series and the song list just didn't seem to appeal with the exception of about 5 songs. However, through much playing I have grown to love the new look, and the song list is wonderfully diverse and challenging. Advantages: Over 40 new songs, easier gameplay, good graphics, great music.
Disadvantages: Too easy for some players, lack of new content in playable characters and instruments

..."Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" is game filled with primarily Aerosmith songs, although there are contributions from other artists such as the Stone Temple Pilots and Cheap Trick. Many people are apprehensive at buying a game based around solely one band, but the game is suprisingly varied and keeps your attention for longer than you expect. The primary goal of the game is to hit a series of notes as they fall down the screen. The player does this by either holding the appropraite fret on the guitar and then struming, or pressing the respective button on a conventional Xbox 360 controller. There are plenty of videos on YouTube for people that aren't familiar with the concept of these games.
