Jane Norman

Advantages: Lovely selection
Disadvantages: Sizes

... For Starters Jane Norman to me as a teenager was always slightly too expensive and if you bought anything in there, you used the bag for your PE kit for at least a few weeks!! Now i'm older and earning, I realise that Jane Norman isn't drop dead designer, and is actually pretty affordable, and always up to date on trend. So as you can imagine, on this discovery I started popping in there every time I pass. You can actually commonly spot Jane Norman in most shopping centres so they are not easy to avoid. Who's it for This is definately a younger design shop even the music played inside is mostly aimed at the 20 - 30 age. But as with most clothes shops now, the brand is diversifying and now most of their designs can be worn by many. Clothing Range I find Jane Norman a great place to go if you have a little party...

Toni & Guy

Advantages: Top Service, Professional
Disadvantages: None

...Toni & Guy I have visited a few of Toni & Guy salons, so I now feel that I can write this review. In 1963 Toni & Guy first salon opened in Clapham London. From there on in, there was no stopping them, nearly every big town has one. If I am correct they also have or are expanding abroad. If you have visited 1 or more Toni & Guy salon?s you will notice that they are all the same, from the chairs to the sinks, the walls to the floor. Each salon is identical, being the inside. They have a uniform of Black and White. Black bottoms with a White top, they do have their own logo t-shirts in which some staff do wear. The salons I have visited ? Chichester in West Sussex, owned by a man called Jeff. Basildon in Essex, owned by a man called Billy. This opened in August 1999. Billy is sponsoring Miss Essex at the moment...

A Bee and A Human???

Advantages: Excellent animated world, funny, cute, colourful
Disadvantages: Slightly odd humour could be a disadvantage to some

...Bee Movie is one of the newest in a string of modern computer animated movies. Born from the comic genius that is Jerry Seinfeld (producer, director, actor) it is unlike the other films in the genre due to the slightly odd sense of humour we've come to expect from him. The synopsis Barry Benson is not your average Bee. Unlike his family and friends, he doesn't want to be a anonymous worker stuck in the same mundane job for the rest of his life. So on the day of his graduation, just as he has to pick the career he will stay in forever, he decides he wants to see the world outside the hive, and asks the Pollen Jockeys (the front line of honey making!) to take him with them on their next trip outside. They agree, but unfortunately on his debut into the outside world Barry is separated from the Pollen Jockeys and goes...

Bee Movie

Advantages: Very cute, pretty world, funny jokes, appeals to all ages
Disadvantages: Non sensical

...As a fan of animated animal movies such as Happy Feet and Finding Nemo, I was pleased to see adverts for Bee Movie - it just looked so cute, of course I had to give it a try! In case you couldn't guess from the title, Bee Movie is based around, well, bees. More specifically, it is about a young bee called Barry who just can't decide what he wants to do with his life. It is traditional for all of the bees to only work in one job for their entire life, and he just can't choose which area is right for him. He decides to give pollen collecting a go, however whilst out collecting pollen he gets trapped in the rain and ends up inside a human house where everybody tries to kill him - with the exception of a woman called Vanessa who saves his life. And, somewhat oddly, he ends up falling in love with her. He begins to visit her frequently...

A Guy Thing

Advantages: Silly rom com with elements of hilarity
Disadvantages: Standard plot, storyline and characters which we've all seen before

...I purchased this film from Play for just under a fiver, i probably wouldnt spend anymore than this on it. Ok i was in one of those rom com moods, i had just splurged some well earned doe on 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall', 'Zack & Mirri' and other associated rom coms and happily clicked on the 'similar films' icon to find this one sitting there. Needless to say i bought it! The tag line of 'Who will he take up the aisle' gave the story away immediately but i didnt care, reading the blurb made me call up my buddy and get him round for another one of those chinese food and two guys watching a rom com, nothing wrong with it. The girlfriend was out and she doesnt really like films that much, especially ones i buy. Ive actually agreed to throw out one of my toy godfather figures if she watches the trilogy, not gonna happen! Its a safe bet...

Jane Norman - Certainly not a plain jane

Advantages: Has some nice items, prices are reasonable enough
Disadvantages: Not a lot of variety

...INTRODUCTION Jane Norman is a boutique like high street store for women. Their clothes seem to be aimed at young, reasonably slim women from teenagers to late twenties. The chain has been around since 1952 and at the time of me writing this there are 157 stores in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. THE PRODUCTS Jane Norman sells clothes, bags and accessories but does not sell shoes or underwear. Their style is formal, but with a bit of a sexy kick! If you're looking for work clothes this is an ideal place to look. It is also a great place to buy 'going out' clothes. The tops are mainly fitted to flatter your stomach and to show off your cleavage, and they specialise in pretty patterned tops. Their style of clothes doesn't change much from season to season and they don't tend to follow fashion much. Instead, you...

FREE DVDs

Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review

...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them. ∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊ Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

You'll bee buzzing after you've watched this!

Advantages: Funny, ibrant and educational
Disadvantages: None

...This is one of my favourite animations and I never tire of watching it which is good because neither does Noah! The story tells of Barry the Bee who is just not satisfied at the thought of having to work one job in the bee hive for the rest of his life so he goes out of the hive before he commits to anything. During his little 'explore' he almost gets squatted by a guy but a very nice woman saves him. Now being the kind cap that he is, he doesn't want to leave without saying thank you. This is the start of a strange but sweet relationship between Barry the bee and Melanie the human whereby Barry realises that humans are stealing the honey the bees make and with the help of Melanie they set out to sue the human race. The thing about this animation is there is a lot of funny lines sprouting out every second which really gets you...

Burt's Bees

Advantages: Softens, smoothes, hint of colour
Disadvantages: Effects don't last that long

...I've often looked at Burt's Bees products and thought they must be good with all their natural ingredients, so I recently made my first purchase from them - a Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil, which cost me a measly £3.49 from Boots. The lip balm comes in the usual stick form with a twist-up action like a lipstick. The tube is yellow and it has a pink pull-off lid. The stick contains 0.15oz, or 4.25g, of product, which is pretty much average for a lip balm. Burt's Bees say that this replenishing and hydrating natural lip balm is infused with the antioxidant goodness of pomegranate oil. It replenishes moisture to reveal smooth, healthy lips, while it coats them for an even-toned appearance. The balm is quite solid and waxy but when it's applied to the lips it goes on smoothly and feels pleasantly smooth...

Norman strikes again!

Advantages: For everyone aged 4-100!
Disadvantages: If he is not your cup of tea I suppose he could be irritating!

...too Norman takes it in to his own hands and single handedly takes on General Schreiber and his fellow countrymen. MY THOUGHTS ***************** Also a black and white film this probably has my funniest scene in this film when he is digging up the road and barking out instructions to a new platoon on the march, the officer in charge cant see him until they have been dismissed for tea!. This another film again where the little guys take on the big boys. Rating 9/10 FOLLOW A STAR ******************* The last of the black and white films. Norman spends his days steam pressing clothes,at night he spends time...
