...?Mr Strong? is number 26 in the very popular Mr Men series by Roger Hargreaves. The main character of the book, Mr Strong himself, is so strong that he can hammer nails into the wall just by tapping them with his finger! Mr Strong?s strength can be to his disadvantage, as he frequently breaks things without meaning to but one day he uses his strength to help a farmer whose field is on fire, and in doing so gains a reward which comes in very handy! There are some very funny moments in this book, such as when Mr Strong bumps into a tree and the tree trunk snaps in half. The simple, bright illustrations, which are on the right of every double page, are perfect in helping little ones understand the humour of the story. The writing, which is on the left of every double page, is very clear and nicely spread out, which I think encourages...

...If you have already read my review on MR. Funny, then you will know that I love the MR. Men books, and so I have decided to dig out another one of my favourite children?s books and review it, so that hopefully some other people may buy them for their kids and the books will live on for generations to come. (And I get some money for writing this. Lol) MR. Strong is the 26th of the MR Men books written by Roger Hargreaves. The books in the MR men collection are aimed at very young children, but I?m 15 at the moment and I still love them! Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead

Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. ...Trebor are known for their ever popular Extra Strong Mints, but they have recently converted their winning formula into a chewing gum with the same Extra Strong branding. I came across this brand of chewing gum in my local newsagents and immediately realised that it was a new product. Since buying the product I have seen this gum advertised on the television, something I don?t remember seeing with the Extra Strong Mint. Trebor Extra Strong peppermint gum comes in a package of approximately 2.5inches long by 1.5cm in width. The packet looks small in comparison to the other products in the shop by the chewing gum pellets look of average size. Yes I am sure we all remember the adverts from back in the day but where have Trebor Extra Strong mints gone to nowadays I here you cry. Well the answer is simple nowhere at all, they are still a permanent fixture of the shelves in all my local stores and I am sure yours too. They have simply taken a little bit of a back seat when it comes to the advertising of the product but they are still around and going strong, (pun intended). Now as far as I can tell, these Extra Strong Mints still have pretty much the same wrapping as they always have had which is the white paper outer layer with the green and red writing that depicts the fact they are from Trebor and that you should beware because they are indeed Extra Strong. ...Giant Jim and The Hurricane written by Jeremy Strong is another fantastic children's book. Suited for children aged between 5 and 11 it is great for being read aloud but also just as good read silently by more confident readers. Giant Jim is as you can probably imagine, a Giant, and when he strolls into town he causes all sorts of trouble. But Giant Jim only wants to be friendly and find a place to live happily. His size however makes this near impossible. Every time he speaks people fall over. When he sits he causes an earthquake and when he cries a lake forms at his feet. The towns' folk are not at all happy about this and force Giant Jim to leave. He's too big for them and is a hindrance rather than a hep. That it however until a hurricane hits the town. Will Giant Jim be able to help the town's folk? And will he ever find...

Mr Strong and the Flood

...Mr Strong and the flood is a book in the new story library from the Mr Men collection. Mr Strong is a square shape with little arms and is red in colour and he wears a green bowler hat. THE STORY The beginning of the story tells us how strong Mr Strong is, he put his Wellingtons on and pulled so hard that he put his foot right through the bottom and he pushed his umbrella up so hard that it turned inside out! It also goes on to tell us what he does when he breaks his front door handle. We then go on to read how Mr Strong goes out for a walk in the rain and tells us that it has been raining for nearly a whole week. As Mr Strong is out on his walk he meets Farmer Field who is very worried as his sheep are all stuck out in the field which is surrounded by rain water. How will Mr Strong help Farmer Fields??? MY OPINION...
