Most crèches or children?s play areas seem to have one of these activity gyms and they looked bright and colourful so we decided to get one for my brothers first birthday.
The activity gym as shown in the picture is made up of four side panels, each with holes in for the child to climb through. There is a small bright pink slide and a blue floor, which the children can go under or climb on to go down the slide.
As we unpacked the activity gym it looked relatively simple to assemble, as it was really just a case of slotting the panels together but don?t be fooled! JML Iron Gym comes with easy to assemble instructions and takes literally 5mins to assemble. Iron gym fits onto almost every door frame in the house and with its foam handles and contact points it leaves no marks, no damage and wont put stress on the door frame!
I have been using iron gym for about 3 months now and the results have been great i have put on 1 1/2 stone in muscle weight. ...In a bid to shift a bit of weight a few years back I joined a local gym. Initially, I only participated in cardio vascular exercise and made full use of the rowing machine, treadmills and exercise bikes.
The gym I was a member of was primarily a body building gym, which is to be expected since it is owned by a competitive body builder. It was inevitable that I would ?dabble? with the weights and over the year or so I was a member I learned a lot. I was shown what exercises to do for each major muscle group, the correct form and the correct weight to use.
When using weights safety is paramount and it is very easy to do yourself a serious injury. Even the seasoned body builders follow this rule. I used to cringe when I saw some of the new members arrive, set the weight really high and then proceed to perform the exercise with poor...
...I understand that I have written a very similar review to this one that is actually on working out, however I would just like to now write a review on choosing a gym - as you can, in fact work out anywhere (well, within reason as I doubt the manager at Tesco would be best pleased somehow!).
I have just changed gyms, I used to go to one that was on the outskirts of Plymouth (it was on the same site as the hospital that I worked in). This one I paid £27 a month for all in, so this was unlimited use of the actual gym in itself; the sauna or steam room (it was a case of either/ or for a week and then change but I never used them), and the classes that were on offer. You also got your own programme included should you wish, which I did as I had never been to a gym before. Just to mention, the £27 a month was a special rate for NHS staff...
Advantages: Fun, entertaining, lasts years Disadvantages: Uses lots of batteries

It has 5 different settings designed so that it will grow with the baby which is much better than all the other gyms I've seen in the shops which are just aimed at babies and don' progress yet are the same price as this one.
The five settings are:
A gym for tiny babies to kick at

A play table suitable for babies who are able to stand up and walk around it
A play table with stool for a toddler to sit on
A writing table with stool for older toddlers.

I think this play gym is one of the best we looked at and im very pleased we decided to purchase it, im also hoping that due to the size it should last quite a while. If you are looking for a playmat I would def recommend this one.

...I have owned the Total Gym 1000, for about a year now. The reason why, is because I was channel shopping, and it looked good. It caught my eye, so I watched the programme, and then decided that for £150, you couldn't go wrong. I am a little impulsive like that.
You can do all sorts of exercises on it, so why bother paying to go to a gym, and use lots of machines, when this one does it all?

The setting up of this machine, is not terribly difficult, but it is a little tricky. Basically it all folds out, and fixes together, with really pick metal clips.
On removing it from the box, it is all flat packed. You need to take the sliding board aways, while you set up the frame. Then attatch the sliding board, on it's rollers.

Review of Pilates Power Gym

...My three children have their own little adventure playground in the back garden swings,slides and trampolines.
When it was cold or rainy they had nothing to play on indoors so i bought them the activity gym they were absolutly chuffed to bits with it they could play with this toy indoors or out,so in the winter they had it indoors and in the summer the little ones played on it out doors as a climbing frame.
It is aproximatly a metre high and about the same wide It looks quite pretty with its multy coloured sides,base and slide.
The base comes in to pieces which is coloured blue there are four sides which easily click into place the colours of the sides are green orange and yellow.The slide just slots into place and can be removed so it can be used just as a climbing frame .The colour of the slide is pink.
