Wedding At The Bentota Beach Hotel

Advantages: Beatiful location
Disadvantages: Mosquitoes

We have been back since & the hotel was about to be renovated.The name has also changed to the Bentota Beach Cinnamon Hotel.Despite all the devastation along the southern coast & the lack of proper government funding people are re building their lives & do rely on the tourist trade.There are sad tales of loss of life the turtle hatchery lost a huge amount of rare or endangered resident turtles that had spent their entire lives there.The man who runs it was very heroic and saved many peoples lives that day. Kololi Beach Club and surround

Advantages: Great place.
Disadvantages: Watch for how you part with your cash.

...I have stayed at this hotel now on two occasions and would go again any time. Its a pretty basic hotel but comfortable and the staff are very friendly and take great pride in there work, especially it has to be said, the cleaning staff. Mind you, the pool cleaner does seem to take an age as well, wonder if he is on an hourly rate? Definately would advise hiring a fridge for your room from the hotel. My only bad thing to say about the hotel is the driveway. Not bad at first but it is quite a trek after a few days. Access to the beach is straight off the hotel grounds. Not so many bumsters this year.( A quick guide to them after ). I've always found the weather to be great in November/December. Hot during the day and comfortable at night. As for Kololi. The restauarants basically are selling the same deal in food or drink...

...If you are looking for a relaxed holiday with not too many frills then the Ledra Beach is for you. Its a friendly and inviting hotel with excellent food I have to say.....probably one of the best advantages of this hotel. The accommodation is a little tired but nontheless comfortable and clean. An animation team keep you entertained day and night with a few outside acts a couple of times a week. Aqua aerobics, childrens games, quizzes keep you occupied through the day. We booked an all inclusive holiday and we had no complaints whatsover with the choice, variety and quality of food, it has to be one of the best menus on the island in any hotel! We've done all inclusive, B&B, Half Board, City Breaks, Beach Holidays, make it up as we go along etc. However we now have a 5-year-old boy to look after and so our holidays have to be thought through in advance. This year we chose Fuerteventura as our holiday destination and chose the Monica Beach Hotel on the recommendation of our travel agent because of its reputation as a nice family orientated hotel. Disadvantages: Limited amenities, but what do youe expect for 2*...?

Decorative details such as the ornate Chinese mirrored panels, and the etched glass recessed wall panels were meticulously restored, and exact replicas were made of the original chandeliers, sconces, and maple and mirror registration desk. A new wood and glass bar curves along one wall. The Winterhaven Hotel is a small hotel, and is located directly across from the Atlantic Ocean towards the top of Ocean Drive. Although not right "in the thick of things", it's only 2 minutes walk from where things are a bit busier, and you'll appreciate that when it's time to sleep and a million drunk tourists are partying hard out of earshot down the street... ...I have just returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday at the Silver Beach Hotel, on the East Coast of Mauritius. It's a 3 * hotel, with 5 * service. ACCOMMODATION We arrived at Silver Beach early afternoon, tired from a 12 hour flight. We were given a warm welcome by the staff and had a lovely refreshing cocktail, whilst we filled in our registration card. Our first impression was that the hotel was a little plain and could do with a coat of paint - but that was just the corridors and the exterior of the building. The bedrooms were bright and very clean. The bed sheets and towels were changed every day and the man who cleaned our room made us smile with his swans and lilies that he made out of our towels. ...I've stayed at the Senegambia Beach Hotel twice now. Would I recommend it then? Set in 25 acres of landscaped Well lets start by going back to 1993 in September... I found the whole experience to be great in a hotel in Africa..wow... Basic ammenities, simple furnishings in room and maid cleaned it everyday...clean towels and bed making...great...The room was for sleeping with no real attraction, bathroom with tiled floor into an area with a shower.. Shower was at times cool, not exactly cold but not piping hot either and pressure was well okay, you are in Africa after all. Bed had no bugs I could see and although I only saw ants in the room on the last day as I dropped some chocolate on the floor and left it there by accident...The ants came in and collected it and carried it straight home...
