Haagen Dazs - My true love!

Advantages: Delicious taste, recyclable pot.
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, can be a little sickly.

...I purchased this 500ml tub of Haagen Dazs Belgian Chocolate for £4.25 from our local fish & chip shop recently when treating my fiance to a takeaway for tea after he had a hard day at work. The ice cream is provided in a cardboard round pot with a plastic lid and I believe the whole thing is recyclable (I throw it in the recycling bin anyway!). Once you open the lid you can smell the chocolate ice cream straight away and the smell is enough to make your mouth water before you've even got you spoon dug in! The ice cream is pretty hard if it's just come straight from the freezer so I would recommend leaving it out on the side for 10 minutes or leaving it in the fridge for half hour (we left it in the fridge whilst eating our delicious takeaway). Haagen Dazs - a tasty treat

...I don't often eat ice cream but when I saw that Haagen Dazs Belgian Chocolate was on offer for £3 for a 500ml tub, I thought I'd treat myself. It usually costs between £3.50 and £4.00. The packaging is a very nice part deep red and part gold carton with a plastic lid. The 500ml tub is a handy size for keeping in the freezer as it does not take up much room. A 500ml tub usually lasts me and my other half about two weeks. The ice cream itself has a lovely texture. It is very soft and creamy so you don't have to dig away at it for ages just to get some out of the tub! This kind of texture is fairly typical of Haagen Dazs ice cream which makes it a really good accompaniment for warm desserts as it melts into a lovely cream. I have to confess that I HAVE NEVER tried any cheap, or supermarket value ice cream or even tried a cheap ice lolly or a "choc ice" . . . and I don't think I will; I'd rather pay extra to indulge myself than to eat something made from nasty cheap ingredients or an extra-sugary fatty lump of fat ice cream. Haagen Dazs Strawberry cheese cake ice cream - An expensive one

...I had always heard so much about then famous brand of Haagen Dazs and was curious to know what was so great about their ice creams. While I was going for all the local brands and found the ice creams wuite good, I was intrigued and wanted to try this just once. Well, on browsing their varieties I found the strawberry cheese cake the best, more so because I am a big fan of strawberry flavours especially if they are using fresh strawberrys or the extract. Although all Haagen Daz ice-cream has a repuation of being delicious, I have to say this is my definate favourite.And I must have tried nearly every one!!Not that I'm a pig! Dont let the price or the calorie-content put you off. Although this ice cream is divine it is also extremely rich and I personally find it very difficult to eat in great quantities. It is therefore great to just keep in the freezer and keep dipping into every time you have a craving for something a bit naughty. A spoonful here and another there is a really good way to enjoy it. ...I've always been a Ben & Jerry's fan, but the absence of Cookie Dough ice cream at my local ASDA store lead me to buy a tub of my favourite flavour from it's rival - Haagen Dazs.
