...Haarlem is the capital city of the province North-Holland. It is an old city that has many beautiful buildings. If you want to get out you will also have more then enough possibilities to find somtehing you like. There are lots of cinemas where you watch a movie, there is a beautiful old theatre, you can find many restaurants where you can eat, I want to recommend the restaurant : the ?Coach house Inn?. Their saté is famous and service is friendly. Haarlem is proclaimed to be the ?Shopping city of Holland?. It is certainly worth a visit....

Carlton Square review

Advantages: High quality rooms, resteraunt and bar.
Disadvantages: Prices quite expensive for the area.

...there. Also within 2 minutes walk of the main shopping areas and 15 minutes walk from Haarlem train station. Overall a great place to stay on a business trip, though for a personal stay I would try to find somewhere cheaper....

Advantages: Great food, service and large portions
Disadvantages: Quite small so worth booking ahead for popular nights

...was a whole rack of ribs (not just half a rack like most resteraunts give) with a fantastically rich sauce, in addition there was a bowl of salad and a bowl of chips as well as several dips. I did not get near to finishing the ribs (according to a local couple who came in while I was there nobody finishes the ribs and ALL the meals are both hat sized and that good). If you are even in the area for the night then this place is well worth a visit, I will certainly be back the next time I stay in Haarlem....

Cinderella - What Really Happened?

...read Maguire?s books with a completely open mind and not know what is going to come. The story is told from Iris?s point of view. Iris and her sister (Ruth) move to Haarlem with their mother Margarethe. Iris and Ruth are very plain girls according to their mother (ugly stepsisters?). They soon meet the beautiful Clara (Cinderella) and the story develops. The way this book is written makes it very easy to read. At 416 pages, some people may think the book is long. I read it in only a few days as I found it hard to put down. I loved finding out what happened in comparison to what happened in the fairytale and longed to find out how it ended....

Although the price is high, they should hold their value better, so the long term view should be considered. Its doing an average of 30 mpg at the moment, which is a bit dissappointing - hopefully this will improve as the engine beds in. Our 13 year old Datsun Sunny did 40 mpg ! I bought the car from the following main dealer. They deliverd the car to my door on a transporter. This was included in the price. Don't Be A Stranger, Be A Glasgow Ranger

Advantages: A very open and honest look at Numan's Career
Disadvantages: Some parts seem to repeat two or three times, Not for Celtic fans

He also goes into detail about his international career and unlike some autobiographies I have read he isn't afraid to voice his opinions of people he has worked with and come across throughout his career. While Numan will not have the mass appeal he makes up for it by writing a very well thought out map of his life in professional football. Now retired it seems the perfect time for him to look back and reflect on a very successful club career. The writing style is very personal and really reflects Arthur's thoughts on certain subjects. My only complaint with his writing and really the book as a whole was the amount of padding their seemed to be. At 232 pages long it isn't the longest book but there are a few paragraphs that he seems to bring up in different sections of the book. It...

...It's hard to miss the Best Western Palace in Zandvoort, its 20-odd floors rise above the town like a monolithic concrete slab (which it is) and dominates the coastline for miles around. That and the fact it's well signposted. Zandvoort lies a few miles north of Amsterdam on the windswept North Sea coast of Holland. It's not a large place anyway, but the hotel completely dwarfs almost everything else in the town. It's 150m from the train station (Amsterdam is 20 mins away), 400m from the town centre and the casino, and 900m from the racetrack. Schilpol airport is 25km distant, Haarlem 5km and The Hague is 45km away. Zandvoort is a prime holiday resort and has all the infrastructure associated with that function. ...Zandvoort? Where in the heck is that? Glad you asked. Zandvoort is a beach resort on the North Sea coast in the province of Noord-Holland. It's about 20km north of Amsterdam and about 5km east of Haarlem. It's not a huge place, in fact the original settlement is not much more than a village. However, over the years it has spread out a little with the arrival of large hotels, holiday apartment blocks and camp-sites so that these days, it's quite a sprawl. Obviously, the main attraction here is the long and wide beach which is backed by a massive dune area, but there's so much more to do here that, if I listed it all, this review would stretch into next week. For example: There's the Racing Circuit. Apparently it used to hold Formula 1 meetings in the past, but it's more than a museum, there are all sorts of races...
