Even when she's at home of an evening she hardly relaxes - just puts the most basic meal together - beans from the pan, with lettuce thrown at toast.

His English is good enough, but he hardly says much to begin with apart from a ubiquitous "Hai!", which can mean almost anything he likes, it seems. The plot revolves around a dance team led by SRK and Karishma is their lead dancer. The team is staging a new play, and SRK feels an unknown and mysterious woman needs to play the principal dancer. In all this,Karishma injures herself and is unable to perform which makes things easier for SRK.He meets Madhuri and wants to cast her as the new dancer. What follows is a story of love, friendship and sacrifice, told in the most entertaining and musical way, with brilliant songs and an easy flowing screenplay. The story here is not path breaking...
...Dil Chahta Hai,released in 2000,is a cult movie! Every time i am surprised by the fact that it has been almost a decade since the movie came out,but i still feel i saw it the other day,its there in my mind,and will stay there forever.
A movie by debutante Farhan Akhtar,it still remains as his best work.It was probably his young blood(well he's still young mind you!) which brought out a fresh story involving three college friends,who choose their separate paths once they finish college.The story is told in a flashback mode,and we are introduced to the three friends,played by three unique actors(a casting coup of sorts i must say).
The first half essentially deals with college life,filled with fun moments which will certainly remind you of yours,while the second half is far maturer,depicting the change in the characters as they grew older...

A simple and basic plot revolving around Raj and Anjali(who are best of friends), it starts off as Raj?s daughter grows 10 and is presented with his late mother?s letters to her. She comes to know of her dad?s best college friend Anjali(she is also named Anjali after her). The story moves forward with the daughter trying to reunite her dad with Anjali,only to know she is about to get married to another guy.
While the first half is essentially a college romantic kind of a film, the second tries to be a bit more mature in its treatment. What really works for this film is that it doesn?t follow the subtle and mature path, it sticks...

...I'm guessing most of you have heard of GHD (Good Hair Day) ceramic straighteners. Basically they are the latest craze in hair straightening and are on most girl's "most wanted" list.
GHDs cost about £100. It *is* possible to get ceramics from £30 but before I got any? be them the cheap ones or the GHDs I wanted to know what I was paying for, what was so special about them and what the difference would be between the pricey ones and the less expensive ones.
The conclusion I came to was that Hai Stiks were the ones for my hair. Although they are not GHDs they are not cheap. They cost about £80 which is only about £5 less than what you can get GHDs for on the net!
