I was surprised to find a leading Chinese manufacturer established in 1984 with German knowhow. They have since expanded into Europe and are one of the top businesses in mainland China. Chinese dishwashers? Why not. I ordered a Haier WQP6-2 via the searchappliance website (no delivery charge) and it arrived within four days. After unpacking, I pushed it into the space under the hob with baited breath. It was a few centimetres too short and a few centimetres too narrow but the depth was perfect. It looked better than the Zanussi. Problem solved. So how well does the Haier perform? Pretty well, actually. The machine, which only comes in white, has six place settings. Environmentally Friendly Dishwasher tablets

Advantages: Works as well as leading brands, cheaper

I'm a bit of a spend thrift so was looking through the Sainsbury's aisles for some cheap dishwasher tablets. I had run out and didn't want to buy a lot of tablets until I was able to go and buy some tablets at wholesale prices. I noticed this at the top of the shelf because it was on offer. 25 tablets for £1.99, saving a 1/3 off the normal price. We have had our dishwasher for a few years now and have come to the conclusion that you get what you pay for where dishwasher tablets are concerned.We prefer the tablet form of detergent purely for ease of use and less mess than powder. We have tried a few budget ranges over the years but find that the tablets do not dissolve or the dishes, especially glasses are left with a film of residue when the wash is finished, and there were many occasions when our food tasted of detergent due to the plates not being cleaned properly. Aldi 'Magnum' Dishwashing Aids

Advantages: Excellent Cleaning Power and Very Good Value

...I have been really impressed with Aldi's range of dishwashing products. Generally, I feel, consumers are urged to buy top well known brands in order to keep their dishwashers working well for as long as possible. The Aldi 'Magnum' range of dishwashing tablets are, in my opinion, just as good. Recently, I bought a pack of 'Magnum 5 in 1 complete dishwasher tablets' for £2.49. The box contained 40 tablets in total and I was very impressed with just how clean everything came out each and every wash. Each tablet contains rinse agent, built in salt action and glass protection agent. We have also purchased a box of Magnum dishwasher salt. As my husband made the purchase, I am not sure of the exact price, only that it was substantially cheaper than we have paid in the for other well known brands and performed just as well. Review of Marks & Spencer Dishwasher Product

Fisher & Paykel stainless steel double drawer dishwasher.

Advantages: Double drawer, independent operating untis in one applicance. Removeable trays - easy to clean.
Disadvantages: Needed replacement parts within the first two years of is life which I had to pay for.

...I have had my Fisher & Paykel dishwasher for seven years and overall I'm happy with it. I had a couple of teething problems in the first two years with seals needing to be replaced and one of the motors which I think is a little poor on the part of the manufacturers particularly charging for replaement parts for a machine that clearly hadn't had massive use ( I do not have a family or throw thrice weekely dinner parties!). The product in itself is a clever design and the two independently operating drawer units are very handy. It has aged well and I'm hoping that it will not give me any further issues in at least the next 3-4 years as the price one pays should guarantee a reasonable lifespan. If it does give me any probelsm it will likely be relaced by a Miele - depending on the level of support offered by the manufacturers...

3 in 1 Dishwasher Tablets

Advantages: cheap and convenient to use
Disadvantages: none

...We've been using these tablets for over 6 months now without any problems - they're great! They contain the powder, rinse aid and salt so save on buying seperate products. Convenience They are very easy to use. No fiddling with powder spillage or having to keep an eye on the level of rinse aid left in the dispenser. Also if you have an older dishwasher that does not have a salt indicator it saves having to keep an eye on that also. If you do big shopping trips (2 weekly or monthly) then it's easy to see exactly how many tablets are left. Cost The cost for a 25 pack is £1.98 which works out at approx 8p per wash. Asda also do a pack of 50 but every time we're in there they have always run out. Overall there is only about 1p difference per tablet between these box quantities. I haven't been able to compare...

...This review is for the HAIER HW-C1470TVEME-U washing machine. Setup ---------- I have to admit the setup is very easy to do but you can have issues. You unpack the washing machine from the fantastic pack and you just place it where you like. The only odd part to setup is that sometimes you do need to open up the door and make the drum inside rotate a few times in order to begin your first wash. This is because it needs to know it is in use before hand, so this is the one thing you might have to do to begin setup. Design ----------- This washing machine is a really nice design. You have the door which has the glass there and the glass appears to be this light blue. Asda dishwasher loose powder

Advantages: cheap, and it works.
Disadvantages: not as convenient as tablets.

...I always use this in my dishwasher. It gives a really good clean, and the dishes are always squeaky and shiny at the end of the cycle. I used to use tablets but when comparing them to the cost of powder I couldnt believe how much cheaper powder is, so had to give it a try. I have been using this one for approximately two years, due to the fact that I usually shop at Asda, and can honestly say that the level of dishwashing seems to be exactly the same as some of the more expensive tablet types I pay about £1.87 for a 1 kg tub which seems to last for ages. It probably last for about 4-5 weeks of daily dishwashing. It is also 'lemon fresh' , doesnt actually smell like fresh lemons but the smell is ok, and at least it smells clean. On the downside it is not as convenient or easy to use as tablets, but it is not too fiddly either...
