Balmain Extension Shampoo - Smells great but doesn't do th job!

Advantages: Smells heavenly!!
Disadvantages: I believe it lead to far more extensions falling out than normal

...I have had hair extensions for a little over 18 months and have mostly used X10 shampoo which was recommended by my hairdresser and I too would thoroughly recommend. I used the Balmain product when my local supplier of X10 stopped selling my usual. Despite the fact that I am fastidious about looking after my hair and didn't change anything apart from my Shampoo and Conditioner I started to find that my extensions were coming out very easily and stray hairs falling out regularly. Although the condition of my hair was still good the extensions were just coming out all over the place. I used the Balmain shampoo and conditioner for 8 weeks until I got hold of some more X10 and my hair went back to normal. I have russian hair so to be fair it might be better with some cheaper extensions but I certainly found it didn't work for me - although...

Balmain Hair brush

Advantages: Brushes hair well and well made
Disadvantages: quite expensive for a hair brush

...I have been using the balmain products on my hair for about 2 years now and also completed other peoples heads of hair also. I found this brush to brush your hair well with the extensions in which is near on impossible for a normal brush. It also smooths out the roots where normally you would avoid with a normal brush. I got my brush about 2 years ago and is still going strong. But have recently bought a new one for about 8 pounds in sallys hair and beauty supplies for which i ahve a trade card for so may cost around a tenner normally for people without the sallys trade card. i found these much better then the remy products and the similar ones sold on ebay and the internet also....

Great for short thin hair

Advantages: Heat very quickly
Disadvantages: Unable to cope with my thick hair

...I bought these recently as I cannot live without my older larger plated GHD's and thought that these would be a handy alternative. They do heat in under 3 seconds and have the same excellent ceramic plates as the larger version, however I found them very time consuming. I have very thick hair about shoulder length and unlike their larger cousins they were unable to straighten as effectively . On saying that they were brilliant on my fringe. I would recommend these to anyone with shorter or thin hair. A fashion conscientious male friend of mine used these and loved them and were perfect for his short hair. I would recommend using the straightening oil with these as they are very hot and I did find a few burnt strands of hair ....

Good Hair Day? Definitely!

...I've had these hair straighteners for roughly six months now and have used them probably every day since I was given them, so I feel fairly qualified to give my opinion: that I really can't recommend them highly enough!! The quality of GHDs is unbeatable - I've used a lot of hair straighteners in my time, and I've got to say that they really do give consistently good results. They heat up in roughly fifteen seconds, and you can straighten hair very quickly in a rush with a fairly good finish - which as you can imagine saves huge amounts of time in the mornings! Generally, unless your hair is remarkably stubborn, the hair will also stay straight for the duration of the day. GHD, makes a bad hair day a good hair day

...These straighteners are the best hair straighteners I have ever used, they heat up in about 10 seconds, beep when they're ready to use and then if you forget to turn them off they switch themselves off which is great if you're like me and have often come home to find my bed covers completely singed. They're very hot which although on the one hand is good because they work really well for every type of hairstyle you can ever want to do, straighten, curl, volumise etc. However, if you don't use a comb when straightening your hair you can quite often burn your fingers on your hair. GHD really do offer quality products as a general rule and I would never use any other straighteners. This is my 3rd pair of GHD's so really I have no complaints, however, my hot pink straighteners have had to be sent back to GHD on 2 different occasions...

I have got the Limited edition IV Kiss ones and although the price is what seems redicuoulsly high at £135 they are worth every penny! I`ve had so many hair straightners in the past, cheep ones because i didnt want to spend that amount, i am now glad i did at last splash out on these!! They come in a box, roughly the size of a shoe box, in one side is the GHD stylers and on the side that lifts open there is a packet of 3 GHD lipglosses in a small little box which are also fabulous.
