...After having very short and spiky hair for most of my teens and early 20's, I decided earlier this year that I need a change and decided to grow my hair. When it got to a certain length, I purchased a pair of £20 straighteners from a supermarket. Being the 'typical' man, I decided that straighteners were straighteners, and I was not going to pay over the odds for a product that would no doubt do the job just as well. After getting sick and tired of waiting about 5 minutes for my straighteners to heat up, and about 45 minutes trying to get my hair straight, I decided on the recomendation of my friend to purchase a pair of the GHD mini thin straighteners. Shaving gel to stick hair up

...as you move your hands apart very gooey. The smell is very fresh but not over powering and when you rub into your hands it will make them feel soft and their is no stickiness. Preparation :- The Real Shaving Company has some of the best products i have ever used for shaving, but if you do not put in some preparation before shaving you will not get the best out of the products. Always wash in warm to hot water and exfoliate with a daily face scrub before shaving. This removes dead skin and softens the bristles. If you have a blunt razor blade replace it as this will drag across the face causing redness and making the shaved area sore. Gel :- You put the gel on a dry face not wet this seems to help it soften the hairs more as it is not watered down, if you put it on a wet face it will disappear immediately wasting the product...

Review of Real Shaving Gel

Great for short thin hair

Disadvantages: Unable to cope with my thick hair

...I bought these recently as I cannot live without my older larger plated GHD's and thought that these would be a handy alternative. They do heat in under 3 seconds and have the same excellent ceramic plates as the larger version, however I found them very time consuming. I have very thick hair about shoulder length and unlike their larger cousins they were unable to straighten as effectively . On saying that they were brilliant on my fringe. I would recommend these to anyone with shorter or thin hair. A fashion conscientious male friend of mine used these and loved them and were perfect for his short hair. I would recommend using the straightening oil with these as they are very hot and I did find a few burnt strands of hair ....

Good Hair Day? Definitely!

...I've had these hair straighteners for roughly six months now and have used them probably every day since I was given them, so I feel fairly qualified to give my opinion: that I really can't recommend them highly enough!! The quality of GHDs is unbeatable - I've used a lot of hair straighteners in my time, and I've got to say that they really do give consistently good results. They heat up in roughly fifteen seconds, and you can straighten hair very quickly in a rush with a fairly good finish - which as you can imagine saves huge amounts of time in the mornings! Generally, unless your hair is remarkably stubborn, the hair will also stay straight for the duration of the day. GHD, makes a bad hair day a good hair day

...These straighteners are the best hair straighteners I have ever used, they heat up in about 10 seconds, beep when they're ready to use and then if you forget to turn them off they switch themselves off which is great if you're like me and have often come home to find my bed covers completely singed. They're very hot which although on the one hand is good because they work really well for every type of hairstyle you can ever want to do, straighten, curl, volumise etc. However, if you don't use a comb when straightening your hair you can quite often burn your fingers on your hair. GHD really do offer quality products as a general rule and I would never use any other straighteners. This is my 3rd pair of GHD's so really I have no complaints, however, my hot pink straighteners have had to be sent back to GHD on 2 different occasions...

A Good Hair Gel at a Reasonable Price

Advantages: Holds Fine Hair Very Well
Disadvantages: Fragrance maybe a little overpowering

...This is a decent enough hair gel that I sometimes use but is not my first choice when purchasing hair gel. It has a strong hold that lasts for a fair few hours on your hair but is quite sticky and has too strong a smell for my liking. It is not an unpleasant smell by any means but it is strong enough to partly mask any eau de toilette or after shave that you are wearing. I think I paid around £1.90 for the last 150 ml tube that I bought which is good value for money and definitely a lot cheaper than some of the more heavily advertised expensive brands. I guess its all a matter of personal choice really. There isn't much doubt that VO5 are a very good brand for hair products and this particular gel in my opinion and in my experience does what it is supposed to do and at a very reasonable price. I have got the Limited edition IV Kiss ones and although the price is what seems redicuoulsly high at £135 they are worth every penny! I`ve had so many hair straightners in the past, cheep ones because i didnt want to spend that amount, i am now glad i did at last splash out on these!! They come in a box, roughly the size of a shoe box, in one side is the GHD stylers and on the side that lifts open there is a packet of 3 GHD lipglosses in a small little box which are also fabulous. There is an instruction manual and a book containing a list of all the other products available by the GHD company.
