...After having very short and spiky hair for most of my teens and early 20's, I decided earlier this year that I need a change and decided to grow my hair. When it got to a certain length, I purchased a pair of £20 straighteners from a supermarket. Being the 'typical' man, I decided that straighteners were straighteners, and I was not going to pay over the odds for a product that would no doubt do the job just as well. After getting sick and tired of waiting about 5 minutes for my straighteners to heat up, and about 45 minutes trying to get my hair straight, I decided on the recomendation of my friend to purchase a pair of the GHD mini thin straighteners. Good Hair Day? Definitely!

Advantages: Quick to heat up, Excellent results, Easy to use, Time-saving
Disadvantages: Cost, Extremely hot, Only one setting

...both had negative experiences with GHDs before - we were getting minor electric shocks when we unplugged them and had to be pretty careful. Now I've never experienced this particular fault with this model, but it's worth mentioning. All in all I'd say that this is an excellent product, particularly if you use hair straighteners a lot. It gives consistently good hair - even when you're in a massive hurry - and they're very easy to use. Hope this review helps!...

Great for short thin hair

Advantages: Heat very quickly
Disadvantages: Unable to cope with my thick hair

...I bought these recently as I cannot live without my older larger plated GHD's and thought that these would be a handy alternative. They do heat in under 3 seconds and have the same excellent ceramic plates as the larger version, however I found them very time consuming. I have very thick hair about shoulder length and unlike their larger cousins they were unable to straighten as effectively . On saying that they were brilliant on my fringe. I would recommend these to anyone with shorter or thin hair. A fashion conscientious male friend of mine used these and loved them and were perfect for his short hair. I would recommend using the straightening oil with these as they are very hot and I did find a few burnt strands of hair ....

GHD, makes a bad hair day a good hair day

...These straighteners are the best hair straighteners I have ever used, they heat up in about 10 seconds, beep when they're ready to use and then if you forget to turn them off they switch themselves off which is great if you're like me and have often come home to find my bed covers completely singed. They're very hot which although on the one hand is good because they work really well for every type of hairstyle you can ever want to do, straighten, curl, volumise etc. However, if you don't use a comb when straightening your hair you can quite often burn your fingers on your hair. GHD really do offer quality products as a general rule and I would never use any other straighteners. This is my 3rd pair of GHD's so really I have no complaints, however, my hot pink straighteners have had to be sent back to GHD on 2 different occasions...

GHD hot pink kiss hair stylers.. well worth every kiss!!

I have got the Limited edition IV Kiss ones and although the price is what seems redicuoulsly high at £135 they are worth every penny! I`ve had so many hair straightners in the past, cheep ones because i didnt want to spend that amount, i am now glad i did at last splash out on these!! They come in a box, roughly the size of a shoe box, in one side is the GHD stylers and on the side that lifts open there is a packet of 3 GHD lipglosses in a small little box which are also fabulous. There is an instruction manual and a book containing a list of all the other products available by the GHD company. Great soft hold product for your hair

Advantages: smooth light hold, not sticky
Disadvantages: not a lot of hold

...If all you need in a pomade type of product is a soft smoothing hold then this is the product for you. Its packaging is appealing to the eyes and the product itself is also. It does not provide a lot of hold but it works well in longer styles. This product leaves out the sticky goopy feel that some other pomades are best known for. If you are looking for something to stand your hair up with then this is not the product. I have used this product many times and have found it satisfactory to my standards. As with all products it does help to know how to use it. It works well for medium to long hair and should not be used to hold short hair in place. It is more of a natural feel product....
