veet hair removing wax strips.
Advantages: I did not find any.
Disadvantages: They do not remove hair and leave you sore.
...I recently purcashed veet ready to use wax strips as an alternative to using a razor , and was very dissapointed with the results considering they are sold by such a big name . All i can say is that i failed to remove hardly any hair at all and found the wax very difficult to remove even with the wipes included . My skin was left feel really sore and for no good end result . Convinced i was using them wrong i tried to use them a few days later checking and double checking the intructions but still with the same dissapointing result . I would never use or buy these again unless i wanted to waste my money . I find they would be more useful for removing fluff from hard wearing materials . Maybe veet could find a better niche for them as i have ....

Veet Ready To Use Hair Removal Wax Strips - Sensitive Skin
Advantages: Smooth legs, good for money, good for sensitive skin, easy, not THAT painful
Disadvantages: doesn't get rid of those tiny, stubborn hairs! not enough strips
...As most women, I hate the hassle of shaving my legs all the time to find that they're already prickly the next day and as I'm going on holiday in less than a week, I wanted something that would last longer, so, I bought some Veet Wax Strips!
I've suffered from eczema all my life and it's dyed down however my skin is still sensitive so I bought the pack especially for Sensitive Skin.
I sat down, gulped some wine, warmed the wax strip up like instructed and put it on my leg. When I came to pull it off I was too hesitant and slow so it was completely ineffective! So, I tried again and pulled off the waxstrip quickly! I must admit it was a little painful to begin with but after repeating it over and over again, it got easier (the ankles are a little more sensitive!) and if you actually watch television at the same time, I found it hurt...

Effective easy to use wax strips
Advantages: Simple and effective
Disadvantages: None
...I find these ready to use wax strips the best on the market. I have tried several and these are definitely the best for me. I tend to use the one for sensitive skin, even though I don't have sensitive skin, just because I think it will hurt less!
It does hurt a little when I wax but every time I do it, it gets easier. I must be de-sensitising!
The strips contain vitamin E and Almon oil to moisturise your skin and I have never once known my skin to dry out after using them so I guess these ingredients do their job.
There are 20 strips in a packet and 4 finishing wipes that are very oily but remove any waxy gubbins that are left on your skin.
My favourite thing about these is the fact that you can use them on short hair so you don't have to turn into a gorilla before you can wax.
On the downside, I find they always leave...

If you want hassle free hair removing avoid these wax strips
Advantages: come in strips, no need to microwave, good for sensitive skin
Disadvantages: too time consuming, fiddly, disappointing results
...skin. Luckily superdrug had these ones on offer at the time in their sale so got them for about £2 as the box was damaged, which was handy.
So I put the kids to bed one night, hubby as well, and decided I would go for it. From reading about it, I thought it would be a quick process, however i was about to be disappointed.
The strips come stuck together with wax, and you have to warm them by rubbing them in between your hands, which I found rather fiddly. You then peel them apart, place one of the strips on your leg and rub the strip in the direction of your hair growth. You then pull it off in the opposite direction and hey presto, supposedly hair free. You then rub your legs with the wipe provided to remove any remaining wax, whilst also smoothing your legs. The strips can be reused up to four or five times, each time placing them...

Veet Ready To Use Wax Strips - Not such a Perfect Finish!
Advantages: Nice smell, areas where hair WAS removed felt silky soft, wipes do remove excess wax
Disadvantages: Too many areas where hair WASN'T removed, price, speed, pain
...simple to follow. However, despite following them to the word, I didn't really get the results I'd hoped for.
As a 'wax virgin', as they say on the adverts, I expected pain, and am also generally renowned for having a fairly high pain threshold. I'm not going to say it didn't hurt, but I originally felt the pain would be bearable for the results I hoped for.
However, I soon noticed that despite my close attention to the instructions, the strips were not removing all the hair, and although some was just about visible on the strips (I'm a blonde), there was definitely still a noticeable amount on my legs - I'd go as far as to say about 30-40%. Gritting my teeth I even rewaxed the same area several times, and still although each time some hair was pulled out, much was left.
Eventually I gave up and only did below the knee on each leg...

Ready to use wax strips... HA!
Advantages: None that i can think of.
Disadvantages: It just doesn't work.
...I first saw this product on a television advert. I was a 'wax virgin', shaving everyday to keep my stubble at bay. I was keen to try these so I went to my local boots and bought some that day.
I have no clue how expensive they were, but I don't suppose they were very much at all (maybe around £6?).
When I got home, I read the instructions a few times so I was sure I knew what I was doing. It seemed simple enough;
Smooth the wax strip onto your skin in the direction of the hair growth, hold the skin taut and pull in the oposite direction. Sounds simple, right? It probably would have if it actually worked, but it didn't. If it was skin I was trying to remove I think I would have been more successful. About 4 strands of hair came out. And it wasn't painless like the advert suggests. Definately not. It hurt, and while I was expecting...

Veet effective hair removal NOT!!!!
Advantages: As a sensitive skin person it did me no harm, hardly any mess
Disadvantages: Ouch it hurt, expensive, grew back after a week, did not take the hair off effectively in the first place,
...I use to use the wax away wax strips before they recked the formula and became less effective at removing hair. So since then i been on the look out for something that would work. I have never used a veet (immac) product in my life as i thought as i have sensitve skin im bound to be allergic so why bother even trying. Then i saw it on telly and someone from a forum was saying that she uses them so i thought they must be good, but how wrong could i be.
I spent £4.49 on the Veet ready to use wax strips for normal skin - refreshing from Superdrug, could of gone for the sensitive one but it cost more. comes in a yellow box and contains 20 wax strips and 4 perfect finish wipes.
Says its:
*Quick and easy to use
*Long lasting results - up to 4 weeks
*Effective on short hair - short as 2mm
*Perfect finish - smooth and soft after...

Veet ready to use wax strips
Advantages: It works properly
Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...Mess free and Fuss free, expensive to use all the time, but ideal for those summer moths and holidays. Besides all this they are a cheaper andfar less painful option to the salon experience. I use them every summer and holiday and won't use anything else.
It's a fairly good price not too painful and quick and easy to use, you can't ask for more. You are even left with silky soft skin and hair free (providing you useit properly). I even managed to convince my sister to use it, and she's a complete wimp when it comes to these kinds of things, now she uses it all the time too, probably more than me as she's always going on holidays.
All in all a great buy that you can't live without....

I Have Removed My Hair with Nair
Advantages: great results, not too painful, compact kit
Disadvantages: can be sightly painful
...If there's one thing I hate in life it's hair on legs, underarms etc. I hate the fact it never stops growing and you constantly have to shave it which is why I looked far and beyond for a much longer way to get rid of hair. With shaving the hair grows back after about 2 days, this is quick and easy but with wax it promises to keep hair off for atleast 3-4 weeks which in my opinion had me in Boots in a flash. I love spending money at Boots to gain my points so when I saw this Nair Peel Off Wax I had to buy it, I'd also seen it advertised and the thought of peeling off hair with wax sounded interesting.
So, first of all you need to look out for the box which is easy enough to spot it is a purple and white box with Nair written in blue writing. On the box it promises to remove even the short hairs and says 'fast action...lasting results...

Wax on, wax off...
Advantages: Ensures slower regrowth.
Disadvantages: Takes a bit of practice to ensure best results.
...Veet Facial Waxing Strips
****************************
For those of you who are new to waxing, this may not be the most encouraging first choice - I suppose, shaving is the easiest or even plucking, though fairly painful and potentially takes forever.
What is it?
***********
Waxing strips for hair removal. A solidified liquid wax the size of a wooden ice-cream stick is encased between two plastic sheets. The pack refers to facial waxing strips (yellow pack), though they may be used on other parts of the body such as underarms, bikini line and touch-ups. For the face, the strips can be used for the upper lip, chin and centre brow.
How do I use them?
*********************
It is usually best to test on a small area first to check for any sensitivities. Normally, if you have not waxed before, it is best to start waxing...
