...and the great thing is my hair stays straight until I wash it again. When I used to use my old straighteners, my hair would be wavy again within a few hours. My GHD's are slimline and ideal for mid-length hair. However you can also get wide-plate ones (for long hair) and compact ones (for short cropped styles.) GHD also do a set for men. I've had my GHD's for eight months now and they are still as good as new. The box that mine came in also contained an instruction manual and that was all. However you can get GHD's that have all sorts of extras included, including heat-proof mats, product samples and carry-cases. You can also get different colours, my set's black but you can also get pink and red that I've seen and probably a lot more colours besides. I would definitely recommend GHD- however I wouldn't advise buying them from your local salon...

...So you must have gathered I'm writing a review On The L'oreal Casting Creme Gloss. I used the colour * 360 blk cherry. My hair is Naturally Dark brown, nearly black so my hair didn't exactly get lighter Okay, So i wake up one morning I'm sick of my hair, I was sick of the sight of the same old hair. I wanted to give my hair some ''Umth''. So i told my friend, now she recently got her hair coloured with L'oreal casting creme gloss ''Plum''. She totally recommended this product to me. I was thinking great here we go.. Another high priced home kit. She whisked me off in her car to Asda to get One. Now i was highly amazed by the lovely colours this range came with. I Purchased mine from Asda, It was about £5 exactly. You can get it cheaper i think in Boots and super-drug but i don't know, You'll have to go on a little bargain hunt...

Big straighteners for big hair!

Advantages: wider plates, brilliant brand, saves time, great effect, minimal heat damage
Disadvantages: expensive!

...brand as I had been so impressed with them, but this time chose the large salon styler (the newer model). At £116 they aren't cheap but they are worth it!! The Straighteners The hair straighteners have wider plates than the other GHD straighteners do. This makes them more suitable for people with longer, thicker or Afro Caribbean hair. They have a slightly rounded barrel so that they can still be used to create curls, flicks and waves although they are not as good for this as the narrower straightening irons. This newer model has a built in sleep mode which is very useful if you are pigeon brained like me and have a tendency to leave them on by accident! After 30 minutes of not being used they turn themselves off. Obviously this isn't something you want to rely on too much but on the basis that I have often got halfway to work...

Advantages: Quick and Easy.
Disadvantages: Trouble with fringe straightening.

...Last christmas i was bought these ghds , after wanting them for ages but not having the money for them. This particualar styler has wide plates which is easy too use on thick hair - like mine. Although they are highly priced at around one hundred pounds , they are worth every single penny. I use them most morning and find them quick too heat up - generally under a minute. They also straighten my hair quickly and effectivly. Although the heat on these straightners is extremly hot , i would recommend these over any other brand of hair straightners that i have used over the years , my hairdresser has also told me that they are better for your hair despite the intense heat - you only have too run them over a section of hair once too straighten it. The only problem i have with these straighters is on my fringe - i find the thick plates...

A Good Hair Day - Everyday

Advantages: Straight, sleek, shiney hair - like no other straightener can achieve.
Disadvantages: The are so expensive to buy! I burn my fingers everytime

...and thankfully all was well. I must have left them switched on and plugged in still, but I remember to put them onto of my mirror. When I got home after a day at work, they had switched themselves off and no harm was done. It doesn't say anything on the box about automatically switching themselves off so I don?t know how long they were on for, but I was grateful. The only thought I have though is what would have happened if I had of them on the carpet or something else flammable?? Where to get GHD's GHD's are not available in normal places like Boots or Superdrug. Great hair, but watch out for the explosion!!

Advantages: Long lasting flat, static free, straight hair in an instant. Also can curl hair.
Disadvantages: Don't expect these straighteners to last very long. Expensive (but worth it)

I switched them on and they heated up in under a minute... great for a busy mum like me. Sectioning my hair off I started at the back and was completely finished in around 20 minutes. You have to bear in mind that I have the thickest hair ever! 20 minutes had about halved my styling time.
