Fancy hair - Tigi Catwalk Honey and Oatmeal Shampoo

Advantages: moisturises hair, makes it feel thick and fuller
Disadvantages: The cost and the smell is a little too sweet, doesn't lather up much

...I like trying out different shampoos and this is the most recent one I have tried out. This shampoo is from Bead Head, Tigi and is from the Catwalk range. The shampoo is an oatmeal and honey shampoo. It is meant to be comfort food for damaged hair. Unfortunately I do fall in to this category since I have coloured my hair quite a lot and the ends of my hair are quite dry! The shampoo comes in two sizes, a 750ml size and a 400ml size. I bought the 750ml size, which is nice and big! The bottle is a see-through green colour, so you can see how much shampoo is left in the bottle. It has a large 'C' on the front of it and 'Catwalk' written through the middle of the C. At the bottom written in white writing is 'Oatmeal & Honey Shampoo'. Batiste Dry Shampoo - a good product for hair emergencies!

Advantages: Makes hair look clean; excellent value; doesn't irritate scalp.
Disadvantages: Leaves an unpleasant deposit; hair doesn't 'feel' as clean as after a wash.

...I am a bit of a slave to my hair as it needs washing every day. Although some hair stylists don't recommend daily washing, I think some peoples' hair just needs it, and I'm one of those people. If you have a morning when you're in a real rush, washing and drying your hair can be too time-consuming. It can be much quicker to pop a shower-cap on and have a quick shower without having to deal with shampooing, conditioning and using a hairdryer for 20 minutes - but I never feel clean and presentable if my hair looks a little bit greasy. I bought Batiste Dry Shampoo ('original' scent) from my local chemists' for rushed mornings such as those. It cost just £2.07 so I could afford to experiment with it. Hair today, gone tomorrow! Batiste Dry Shampoo

Advantages: Smells great, makes greasy hair look fabulous, can be used to create killer styles!
Disadvantages: Runs out too quickly, can leave a gritty feeling in the hair.

...Ok so this is my first review on here and I think it's appropriate that I write about a product that people should be wary of, but should be in every girl...and boy's handbag! I had an aversion to dry shampoo as I had always associated it with people who could not be bothered to wash their hair, or just dirty people in general! That was a little bad of me and I am ashamed! Washing your hair regulary can be very bad for it indeed, depending on what sort of hair you have, some people can get away with washing it as often as they please and other poor souls get left with dry brittle hair if they so much as wash it more than once a week. Cheap and cheerful dry shampoo for those bad hair days

Advantages: Does what is says it does, cheap
Disadvantages: Leaves my hair a little dull

...The aim of a dry shampoo is that it acts as a pick me up to hair between washes. This particular brand I picked up in Boots and is usually priced around £1.99 for a 150ml aerosol. Now I have A LOT of hair, its long and thick and consequently gets in the way a lot of the time. I espeially have an awful habit of pushing back the front, which means that I often have normal hair except at the roots and in hot weather my hair tends to stick to where I sweat...lovely! So I needed a product that stopped me from washing my hair twice a day and this seemed to do the trick. The packaging is a yellow tin with some tropical leaves (as this is the tropical version) and does look very appealing for someone who is going on holiday as this is the time when you get the worst greasy roots and where hair suffers most. Review of Batiste Dry Shampoo

A fantastic shampoo for silky, smooth hair.

Advantages: Great scent, good bottle design, reasonable price, minimal amount required,lots of lather.
Disadvantages: None.

...L'oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss shampoo is provided in a pink bottle with a pink flip top lid. There is a medium hole in the top which allows the shampoo to be squeezed out of the bottle. It gives a medium flow but this shampoo is fairly runny so be careful and don't be over zealous with the squeeze or you will get a whole handful. The product is light in colour and has a nice girlie kind of scent to it. I use a 50p sized blob and rub this all over my hair from root to tip, I get a fairly good lather and was very impressed with the amount of lather it produced as well as how squeaky clean my hair was after I had washed this out. It has a very nice scent which I found to stick to my hair for at least a good few hours once I had dried it and even when I went out for a few hours it still had a nice scent to it and my other half commented that...

Heavenly Headshot - Tigi's Hydrating Shampoo.

Advantages: Lovely smelling product, that does everything it promises!
Disadvantages: The price might put people off, but it honestly is worth it.

Great shampoo for helping smooth and tame hair.

Advantages: smoothes and makes the hair manageable
Disadvantages: not for straight hair

...This shampoo is a perfect shampoo for someone with curly hair that dries their hair straight a lot. It leaves the hair soft and supple after its use. This shampoo smoothes the hair and makes it much more manageable to smooth out. It made it so much easier for me to get my hair completely smooth without the flat iron that i normally have to use. I have recommended this shampoo for very unruly hair that is extremely curly. I would not recommend this one for people with straight hair because it will not do anything for you. My hair is very curly and i have tried almost every product that says it is going to help. I wear my hair straight most of the time and when i use this shampoo my drying time is cut in half. Everyone with curly hair should use this....

Dove Shampoo for Coloured Hair

Advantages: Brightens colour, softens hair, great for thick hair
Disadvantages: weighs down fine hair, looks oily

...The reason for this weeks expedition to Boots was to find a conditioner to moisturise my newly highlighted hair. I say newly as I don't have it done very often (poor student blah blah ...)In reality I had it coloured about six weeks ago and the colour is starting to look a little dull and certainly not as vibrant as it did at the beginning. It's also quite dry and wispy at the ends. I tried the dove original shampoo about a year ago when my hair was natural (ie not coloured, permed etc) and I remember achieving fantastic results with it. It was really light, bouncy and very soft. This is why I was tempted by Dove's Moisturising Milk shampoo for coloured hair.
