...When my brother was 15 he decided to go get a "proper" haircut. In the past he'd just let my dad attack him with the hair clippers, but all his friends were getting all these new messy cuts, so he had to join in. As usual, when they got to the counter the hairdresser went through the suggested products and my brother ended up picking out the Fudge Hair Shaper: firm hold factor 2. I had a read of the back and as well as styling it said it could also be used to scrunch hair. Since I have curly hair I have pinched it a few times to try and define my curls better. Packaging It comes in an orange plastic pot with a grey/silver lid. The Fudge symbol (a black design with an 'F' in the centre) is displayed on top of the lid. There are directions as well as a description of the product on the back of the pot...

Shoppingpuss loves Fudged up hair!

...I'm dedicating this review to carlypussycat, another reviewer here on ciao, who writes great beauty reviews! Since purchasing Fudge Shaper from Slapiton.tv. (excellent customer service by the way) it has become one of my most used and favourite products. I am a bit of a flibertygibert when it comes to beauty stuff...buying brand after brand of stuff then discarding the poor flicked off product, to be later palmed off to my unsuspecting sister or mother! Anyway the fact that my Shaper is still being used warrants me recommending it to you. Fudge is an Australian brand and this product, Shaper, is rated as firm hold factor 2 (Creative Hair Gum 1 being the strongest). Ooh, Your Hair Smells Nice

Advantages: Excellent hold, smells great, washes out easily, not that widely available.
Disadvantages: Expensive compared with most high street styling products, not that widely available.

...Inevitably the first thing that anyone says when you're wearing Fudge is that your hair smells nice. Definitely the best hair styling product I've ever used, it doesn't just smell nice, but holds extremely well and even when you use it as regularly as I do, lasts for ages. I first discovered Fudge when my mate came into school and the aroma of his hair was the main talking point amongst most of the girls we knew. It turned out that he had "borrowed" some Fudge Shaper off his brother, and he reckoned it was the proverbial dog's danglies. A few years later I found myself agonising over which wax/putty I was going to buy, Dax having failed to live up to expectations,and Lynx Short Stuff Wax being too sticky and hard to remove. Hair Like Heaven!

...This stuff rocks! I discovered fudge shaper when my hairdresser used it on my newly-short hair. She was doing this 'shake about and scrunch' thing, and the first I knew was this beautiful smell! I bought some straight away! It smells sweet, but not at all sickly. Fudge is an apt name to describe the smell and texture. At around £9 a tub, it's not cheap, but it outperforms similarly priced products like TIGI Bedhead. You only need a tiny bit, and it's perfect for unstructured, short to medium styles. You just place a tiny bit (tip of your finger) between your palms, rub together and spread through towel-dried or dry hair, then scrunch and rub until it looks great! A Very Very Good Hair Day!

...After having very short and spiky hair for most of my teens and early 20's, I decided earlier this year that I need a change and decided to grow my hair. When it got to a certain length, I purchased a pair of £20 straighteners from a supermarket. Being the 'typical' man, I decided that straighteners were straighteners, and I was not going to pay over the odds for a product that would no doubt do the job just as well. After getting sick and tired of waiting about 5 minutes for my straighteners to heat up, and about 45 minutes trying to get my hair straight, I decided on the recomendation of my friend to purchase a pair of the GHD mini thin straighteners. They come in a neatly presented box, with quite stylish packaging. The box had instructions on how to use and safety advice, which I would recomend reading due to the heat factor...

Great for short thin hair

...I bought these recently as I cannot live without my older larger plated GHD's and thought that these would be a handy alternative. They do heat in under 3 seconds and have the same excellent ceramic plates as the larger version, however I found them very time consuming. I have very thick hair about shoulder length and unlike their larger cousins they were unable to straighten as effectively . On saying that they were brilliant on my fringe. I would recommend these to anyone with shorter or thin hair. A fashion conscientious male friend of mine used these and loved them and were perfect for his short hair. I would recommend using the straightening oil with these as they are very hot and I did find a few burnt strands of hair ....

Good Hair Day? Definitely!

Advantages: Quick to heat up, Excellent results, Easy to use, Time-saving

...I've had these hair straighteners for roughly six months now and have used them probably every day since I was given them, so I feel fairly qualified to give my opinion: that I really can't recommend them highly enough!! The quality of GHDs is unbeatable - I've used a lot of hair straighteners in my time, and I've got to say that they really do give consistently good results. They heat up in roughly fifteen seconds, and you can straighten hair very quickly in a rush with a fairly good finish - which as you can imagine saves huge amounts of time in the mornings! Generally, unless your hair is remarkably stubborn, the hair will also stay straight for the duration of the day. It's also worth noting that they're pretty versatile, and as my hairdresser demonstrated a few days ago, it's quite easy to get nice curls using these hair...

...i have been searching for this stuff my whole life!! i have frizzy hair and even when i straighten it with ghds, it still goes frizzy when the wind hits it. but fudge hair shaper holds it perfectly in place whether i choose to have it curly or straight. plus, it smells AMAZING. the product also stays in until its washed out, which it does easily, but once applied, you can reshape and restyle your hair even after brushing. and you get no white felecks or crumbling of the product, in fact the only giveaway of its presence is the smell! the only percieved disadvantages could be its gloopy texture, meaning you have to wash your hands after use, but it is really easy to apply and the smell makes up for it :) it IS a little expensive and hard to get unless online, but worht the trouble and the money, in my opinion!...

Short and Curlies

...Fudge shaper is quite possibly the most impressive stying product I have found (and I used many i my years of being a hairdresser)The first thing you notice about it is that it is extremely gooey. You could easily be forgiven for thinking it is last thing you want on your hair as you try and prise the lid off without covering anything nearby in a sticky white mess. However the smell of it is usually enough to make you consider it a little longer. Shaper - like all of the fudge products smells good enough to eat. Its like standing in a sweet factory (which can lead to people sniffing you a lot, as it doesn't wear off!). Now I think I should explain something that not many people know........how to use it properly as Shaper is not just for short hair. It is also possible the best thing ever for curly hair, especially LONG curly...
