Vidal Sassoon Straightener.
Review of Vidal Sassoon VS 5311 by
marria-x
Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: No different temperature settings
...The Vidal Sassoon VS 5311 hair straightener is a straightener which has hugely benefited fromt he latest technology. Vidal Sassoon are a very well-known and highly respected brand for making straighteners, hair dryers, blow dryers, curling tongs and many more. The straighteners are a classic and simple design but are still excellent for straightening your hair with. The colour of them also helps them to keep the heat in as they are black and black absorbs heat. It has a logn wire which makes it convenient to use as you don't have to be near the socket all the time. It does not have different temperature settings but it does reach a high temperature in a short period of time which makes it easy to use for everyone....

Vidal Sassoon Microcrystal Straighteners
Review of Vidal Sassoon VS046 Micro Crystal by
rhi_wind
Advantages: AMAZING! Low price, digital, lasting effect
Disadvantages: None!
...I've been in need of some new straighteners for months but I just couldn't justify spending over £100 on GHD's, no matter how good they are.
But then I found the amazing Vidal Sassoon Microcrystal Straigheners.
They are just as good as GHD and less than half the price! They make my hair super straight and shiny and it lasts all day, even if I put my hair up for a while, when I take it down it is STILL straight. It's even pretty straight when I sleep on it.
My hair is quite frizzy but these take away all the frizz and just leave it super sleek and shiny :)
Another fab thing about them is that they are digital, you can control the temperature and the temperature is shown on a little screen. Neat huh?
And they are a lovely pinky purple colour so very girly :)
Also they have a swivel chord so no more getting tangled up...

Vidal Sassoon VS880, my worst buy of 2007
Review of Vidal Sassoon VS880 by
littlexen
Advantages: look quite stylish
Disadvantages: poor heat levels, vibrates, doesn't straighten hair
...A change in hairstyle and a move away from the stereotypical Cypriot curly hair means that I now have to straighten my hair on a daily basis otherwise I start to look like I've been dragged through a hedgerow backwards by my head. On the recommendation of my stylist I purchased a set of Vidal Sassoon VS880 hair straighteners from the salon for £24.99 to keep my hair looking like it had just been styled.
I had no reservations making the purchase as my stylist had used the same make and model when it was originally styled and having heard bad things about the unreliability of GHD hair straighteners I happily left thinking I had a bargain. I have since found this make and model for as low as £12.99 online and can understand why. Having tried to use them to straighten my hair for a week after first buying them, each time the results were...

Poker straight hair in an instant
Review of Vidal Sassoon Sleek Straightening Balm by
sarky_queen
Advantages: does exactly what it says on the tube!
Disadvantages: none!
...Ever used your hair straighteners only to find that you hair appears somewhat frizzy and nowhere near straight?! Or find that you try to blow-dry your hair straight but to no avail? Well worry no more because Vidal Sassoon Sleek Straightening Balm is here to save the day!
At around £10 a tube, it may seem somewhat pricey, but you only need to use an amount the size of a 10p for it to do it's work. The only problem with it currently is that it was formerly stocked in shops such as Boots and Superdrug, but it now appears to have been taken off the shelves and I can only find it at Vidal Sasson salons. However, it isn't any more expensive from the salons than it was in Boots. The problem with the fact that it only appears to currently be available from Vidal Sasson itself, is that there are not that many salons throughout the country...

The everyday straightener
Review of Vidal Sassoon VS784 by
frizz69
Advantages: Ease of use, ionic, doesn't damge hair
Disadvantages: You wont get poker straight hair
...After years of trying to straighten my hair with a portable gas fuelled straightener I decided it was time to invest in one I could plug into the mains-but which one, there are so many different strighteners all offering many different features. After a browse through the many available I decided that the Vidal sasson hair hydration straighteners and the most features available for the best price and went out and bought a pair. Hurrah! The straighteners of 2005
Review of Vidal Sassoon VS5311 by
creepystar
Advantages: only takes ten seconds to heat up
Disadvantages: zero
...Vidal Sassoon VS5311.. approximately £49.99. Fun, easy to straighten hair straighteners.
They are light fun to use, they have:
1. A digital section with an LCD display for you to decide your temperature
2. Over 15 different settings for any style on all hair styles
3. Temperature goes to the high heat of a salon
4.The cord is tangle free and easier to move around
5. Ceramic plates for a nice touch to your style and gives constant heat
In most stores such as * boots* Vidal Sassoon VS5311 hair straighteners have a guarentee of 2 years.
I have these straighteners, my hair is below my shoulders, quite thick and only takes around twenty minutes to get your hair salon standard.
No need to pay for GHD's... No need to gamble on whether they are suitable for your hair. Vidal Sassoon VS5311straighteners are for all hair...

The Straight way to look Sexy
Review of Vidal Sassoon Hair Straightener by
tazza72
Advantages: Sexy, sleek hair
Disadvantages: Its a bit time consuming and would dry your hair out with constant use.
...If i was to describe my hair - I would say it was brown shoulder length straight hair. But not wonderfully sleek and sexy and shiny like you see on the telly. But thats not possible to get hair like that is it? Oh yes it is.
When i discovered hair straighteners, my mum and my husband were both convinced it was yet another fad i was going to try - and if i'm totally honest i did too. But not anymore.
I bought Vidal Sassoons VS532 model from Argos for 16.75. They also have a crimp and curl attachment.
The straighteners work with 2 steel hot plates which are heated up when plugged in. There is a heat proof handle to hold, and after they warm up (about 2 minutes), you use the handle to close the hot plates over 2inch sections of hair. You then slowly move the straighteners over the hair till you get to the end. You then go...

Careful they burn
Review of Vidal Sassoon Hair Straightener by
Scazzer
Advantages: nice classy design, light to use
Disadvantages: can burn your hair
...As I have naturally curly hair, I hinted for some hair straighteners for Christmas.
I had a pair by Vidal Sassoon and was impressed with the packaging and the design of them.
I couldn't wait to use them, so christmas morning, there I was freshly dried hair and the straighteners at the ready. I let them get hot so that it wouldn't take too long to do.
I ahve short hair and wanted to achieve a spiky, messy affect.
I sat there for ages waiting for them to get hot and then it was the moment of truth.
They certainly straightened my hair, but to my horror, they burnt the ends of my hair. I had not long had it cut and knew that I had no dead ends that might do this. The ends of my hair went almost ginger with the rest of my hair being quite dark auburn.
I had to wash it again and give it a deep condition to try to repair the damage...

vidals touch in your own home
Review of Vidal Sassoon VS533 by
ukmonkey2002
Advantages: dries hair really quickly
Disadvantages: getting to use it ....i should have had boys
...Yesterday I had a girls worst nightmare ........My hairdryer packed in .
normally I wouldn't really bother too much as I have the wet 2 straight straighting irons. But I have a 11 year old daughter who has very long hair and a 8 year old step daughter ........imagine the chaos
I went into boots and had a look and I seen the Vidal Sassoon Ionic hair dyer 2000w (I had no idea what Ionic meant ) and at £29.99 I though this was a good priced hair dyer and it was also a funky pink and silver colour.
The Ionic hair dyer omits negative ions which close the hair cuticle locking in moisture whilst drying your hair so your hair is softer and less prone to split ends and breakage.
It has Anti static effect which prevents the frizz effect .
It has a digital heat control with 4 different heat and speed settings the led light display...
