...I was an alien. A few people said "You had your hair cut- it looks so different- wow." He demanded I go back another time to be photographed for his final examination. He had not mentioned this at the preliminary cutting. His teacher did not pass him on the haircut- said one side was shorter than the other and insisted he shorten the other and even out the length all over. I decided that I would never never go to another hairdressing salon. It took many months (wearing a headscarf in as many variations of style as I could) for me to go out and feel confident about my hair. Colchester Hairdressers

Advantages: They know what THEY want
Disadvantages: Do not listen to the customer.

...I went to the hairdressers today....which now I regret AGAIN! I used to live in Leicester, the hairdressers I used there was brillant in doing what the customer wanted. I would go in with a couple of pictures and my hair was done almost exactly as the pictures were. I went every 6 weeks or so for years and never had a complaint with them. Then a couple of years ago I moved to Colchester, BAD HAIR MOVE! I must point out first, my hair is thin but naturally curly and at the time long. went to three different hairdressers over the first few years just for a tidy up with not much of a problem except they did not seem to know about scrunch drying, but it was ok as the cut was ok. Advantages: A modern, edgey hair cut for a bargain!
Disadvantages: Very time-consuming, can be quite boring, and a sore bum.

Disadvantages: You stand to lose an awful lot of money, and hair.

Hairdresser On Fire

Advantages: A good introduction to Morrissey
Disadvantages: They could have included a few more rare songs

...Bona Drag was first released in 1990. The record is a compilation made up of Morrissey's (then) recent one-off singles and various bits and pieces left over from an aborted album that failed to appear. The range and standard of the songs was suprisingly good for what at the time was considered a 'filler' record. "Quite unashamedly a stopgap. It's also terrific," as Morrissey said at the time. Bona Drag is now regarded as an excellent introduction to Morrissey's solo body of work and brought deserved attention to lesser known songs like Hairdresser On Fire and Disappointed.
