Advantages: This was one of the first games out on the xbox but out of all of them it is probably the best.
Disadvantages: Its not as good as its sequel Halo 2.

...Halo is probably the best game that has ever been released on the xbox (apart from Halo 2) because it has a great action packed storyline which will keep you playing all day. The game overall is excellent because it has brilliant top of the range graphics and has excellent sounds with a rich 3D environment to explore. This game also features vehicles which makes exploring the vast levels and terrains that Halo has to offer. To any first time buyer of an xbox games console or a computer i would recommend buying Halo. The extra features which are on Halo 2 are: more vehicles, more weapons, the game has better graphics and there is more team work involved (on Halo there are only a few levels that you have the oppertunity to work with other Marines but on Halo 2 more of the levels require you to use the aid or in some cases go... ...The 1st thing i thought after completing Halo 2 was how amazingly similar the storylines are; Halo 1: level 1, you start on the human ship Halo 2: level 1, you start on a human ship Halo 1: level 2: Starts by you knocked out, mission is to find survivors from the human ship Halo 2: level 2, Starts by you knocked out, mission is to find survivors from a downed pelican Halo 1: Need to find the index before covenant Halo 2: find index before Brutes (who play as your enemy as an elite) Halo 1: Game ends by you blowing up the human ship, destroyin ghalo Halo 2: Cortana uses the convenant citys reactor as a bacup plan. ...So, after many months of anticipation halo 2 was released last november, and was greeted by gamers with open arms. This is due to it being the sequel to the iconic halo, which had already established an enormous fanbase of dedicated followers to the series. So there was a little pressure on bungie to say the least. Well, they did a fantastic job with halo 2. I'll say it right away, though. It's not as much fun to play as halo was. Disadvantages: I thought the storyline was a little cheap and a real let down for the game.

...Halo 2 is a really good game it has all the features for an adventure/combat game it has the "baddies" and "goodies". Firstly the graphics were really truely amazing and the detail on the guns and scenery were much much better then the other games around. I think the story line isnt that good becasue i felt it was jus copying the first game.The sound quality for me was great i have had it for quite a while and it hasnt been effected. The fact that throught out the game you can swop players and you can duel weapons was really good and also unlike halo one you could pick up and weapon. ...Right Bit Of Background, The Halo Games all Started with Halo Combat Evolved, and infact it was at the time this game was amazing and in some ways still is. You played the action intense part of a Cyborg Bad Ass Walking One Man Army Known as Master Cheif set in the future on a military spaceship afte being awoken from cryo sleep your quickly alerted to the fact that your ship is being attacked by Humans most hated enemy "The Covenant" your then thrown into an epic part of an amazing battle for the survival of earth and the entire universe !!!! ...A lot has changed since halo 1, where you could only wield one weapon, and you had no clue what was going on. In Halo 2, you can dual wield a massive range of weapons, from pistols, to needlers. There are lots of new weapons, a covenant carbine, SMG's. a birst fireing battle rifle. Good news to all you sniper fans! Halo 2 has a covenant sniper that you don't have to reload, cool 'eh? You can get brute shots too, they are like grenade launchers. The sword is my personal second favourite weapon, under the sniper. It's a one hit kill if you use the special attack (Right trigger). You fly towards them and slash them to death with it. The campaign mode has changed alot, it has higher quality and longer levels, where as in Halo: combat evolved the level was over in a few minutes if you took a wrong turning. ...Having never played the Original Halo or indeed Halo 2 I was a bit sceptical about buying this game, however my brother had always raved about the Halo series so I found myself making the purchase. The game is ok as a first person shooter but it's not something that I'd go shouting from the rooftops about unlike Call of Duty 4 or Gears of War. The storyline is good with some good cut scenes and large assortment of weapons. But that's just the point at no stage does this game go from good to great, Although I have to admit I did find myself kind of addicted to the game until I had finished it. I'm told the online multiplayer is the real selling point of this game but as I don't use the online game play I can't give you an opinion on that (although I will say that I was told this was great by the same person who's raves about the whole... Disadvantages: Story mode may not be your idea of "fun"

...I hate this game, but in a really good way! It is just one of those games that you have to buy and / or play at some point and it is just truely fantastic. It is just so much fun to play and its so original, its not like some games where they just copy other ideas and expand or tweat them. The graphics are amazing and there is so much detail (cannot wait to play it in Hi-Def!). Also it is so easy to get used to the controls and on an Xbox360 it is much easier. I have always hated this with Xbox, because i have owned a playstation since 1998 i have grown up getting used to the Sony Layout, and when ive been playing it says on the screen PRESS X! and im sitting there pressing the Sony X, which is the "A" button on the Xbox whioch is really annoying but in Halo its so easy to get used to as the button presses are very similar to PS2... ...Master Chief is back in Halo 2 and hes continuing from where Halo left off. Anyways, the graphics have improved from the first one although there are graphical glitches in the game but thats life unfortunetly. The best bit of this game is the multiplayer modes, once you play the Multiplayer on Halo 2, you won't stop playing it. You can play with up to four players and more people if you do system link with two Xbox consoles but thats not all, you can rise up to the challenge on XBOX Live where you can go up againest a community of Halo 2 players around the world, this makes the game so good as you can play againest your friends if they are far away with Halo 2 and meet new people to challenge.
