UPDATED - Hammerite gets you hammered

Advantages: One coat usually covers all, but may require two.
Disadvantages: Be aware of the fumes.

...UPDATE - OK, boring review on a tin of paint, but just to remind you that this is only being made for another few weeks, so you will be hard pressed to find it in the shops after that. There are other alternatives, but in my opinion not as good as the genuine Hammerite. Secondly, I must just say that although I think the Hammerite range is fantastic, I always use it with adequate ventilation. The fumes from this paint are not pleasant. The main thing is to wire brush every bit you want to paint first, and don't paint in direct sunlight. With the hammered finish, you can paint it on liberally, and get away with one coat, although Hammerite do recommend two coats applied within six hours. Compared with smooth - it has a similar consistency, but obviously dries with a textured surface, not unlike a proper hammer beaten piece...

Features star favourites Peter Cushing, Raquel Welch, Ursula Andress and Christopher Lee (about whom there is an interesting documentary with 'Scars of Dracula'). The extra features vary greatly, the biggest ommission, in my opinion, is the total absence of subtitles for the hearing impaired. For those who are interested all films are anamorphic, some for the first time, and completely uncut. My personal favourite was the inclusion of the 1965 film 'The Nanny' which stars a very chilling Bette Davis in a well scripted, and often overlooked role. ...Hammerite Hammered finish offers the same qualities as the smooth but gives you that extra finish that looks like it is more industrial and hard wearing. You'll pay around the £4.99 mark in the store for a 250ml can. Larger sizes of 500, 750 and 2.5 litres are also available but this gets a little more expensive. I have seen the stuff on our well known auction site for less so it is possible get it cheaper. I would say the hammered finish paint is a lot thicker than the smooth version and as such it is a little harder to use. However, with the paint being so thick it is virtually impossible to miss bits or not cover the areas your painting properly.
