...I purchased an aquamark handheld steam cleaner because I primarily wanted to clean my filthy stainless steel cookertop and my oven,I also thought that it would be useful to help me tackle a lot of other household chores. I opted for the handheld version because they are a lot cheaper that the larger models and I dont have an awful lot of storage space. The product comes with a number of different attachments for different types of job. There is a large hollow brush for upholstery, two smaller brushes labelled a and b to use for stubborn stains on for example work surfaces and bathroom surfaces..the labelling allows you to have a separate brush for these two rooms and is more hygienic. A great cleaner

...I bought a wonderful cleaner. A vaporetto steam cleaner. This little machine is a marvel it cleans anything. I boughjt it originally to clean my carpets. It cleans them without leaving any ,marks or getting them wet. It cleans, sterilises and deodorises anything. IHighly reccomend it if you have animals, children, a kitchen or a bathroom. It is the easiest way to defrost your freezer, clean a greasy cooker, diinfect the toilet,or worktops, unblock sinks, and clean anywere without nasty chemicals.I have used it to clean the carpets after spilling coffee, no stains left. It cleans windows, tiles baths.In fact I haven't found anything that it will not clean. It works by generating a stream of high pressure steam, the safe thing is that only the 1" from the end of the tool gets hot, as soon as you are away from the end no heat or danger....

Digging for dirt right down by the root

Advantages: Light, very manoeuvrable, robust, very powerful suction
Disadvantages: Initial outay is expensive, no ability to use mains power

...of using mains power though; mainly for in the car. The 6 minutes is ample for cleaning up spills and such but this cleaner is such a convenient shape and so maneuverable that it would be great to use for an all over car interior cleaning session but with only 6 minute burst and a 3 hour charging session it is less convenient. I would definitely recommend this Dyson DC 16 Handheld Root 6 though, admittedly it is expensive but considering the excellent experiences I have had with Dyson in the past I am pretty sure I will have a similar experience with this. Dyson supply their machines with a standard two year guarantee and the Dyson DC 16 Handheld Root 6 is no different....

Damn good Hoover . . .

...Right, those members remembering Hoover Juniors, will know they are a bog standard little vaccuum, correct so far. What has changed is the design, gone is the functional practical austere look, this is the new Doctor Who of cleaners. This is the new improved "Hoover with attitude" It looks modern, stylish even, and I dare say designers have been briefed to give it a sort of "In your face image". While I have absolutely nothing against the idea of a household appliance being trendy, or even cool, I just think that we should keep out feet on the ground. "It is only a vaccuum cleaner" nothing more, nothing less. Weight is only 3.8 Kgs, very light for this type of appliance. Availability is good, you will find them everywhere. As for the price, do not pay more than £35, this seems an enormous amount of money to me, but...
