Hannah Montana the puzzle...(it's always puzzled me!)

Advantages: An unusual and fun puzzle.
Disadvantages: Does need some adult intervention and can be a little tricky to complete.

...This toy review (yes, sorry another one!), is on a toy that even though I had bought it for my daughter, I was itching to have a go at! I have always been a fan of puzzles, jigsaws in particular, my children seem to have followed in my footsteps, hence this review! The toy I will now review is ? Hannah Montana puzzle extra?. The puzzle is a bog standard jigsaw floor puzzle, 102 pieces, with a lovely picture of Hannah Montana on one side and her real life personna Miley Cyrus on the other, I will not go into the history of this fictional children?s character, needless to say if you have not heard of her you count yourself bloody lucky, she?s been the bain of my life for the last two years! ...but that is just about it. The sound on it is amazing because it is clear. I did come across some parts in the game where the Nunchuck and the Wii-Mote were not being picked up as well as i hoped but I could continue to play. All in all I think the game I good if you are an 8 year old who likes Hannah Montana. Other then that I think that I should have had a bit more of a storyline that follows the T.V series. For me its a pass but it could also be someones favorite game....

Hannah...another puzzle!

Disadvantages: Can be a little fiddly for the slightly younger child.

...As many of you will be aware, my daughter is a huge Hannah Montana fan, so of course any merchandise available works it?s way into her possession. The product I will now review is - ?Hannah Montana - junior puzzle ball? For my daughters birthday she received a couple of different puzzle balls and she enjoyed doing them so much I decided to invest again. For those who haven?t heard of these the premise is simple. This is a jigsaw puzzle that is 3d, a sphere to be exact. Once they have been constructed there is a display plinth in the set, which is a small doughnut shaped base that holds the ball in place, and also, because it is free standing and doesn?t have to be glue on in anyway if the child so wishes the ball can be took apart and redone. This particular puzzle ball has 96 pieces to it and measures 12cm from top to base...

...As one of the hundreds of the Hannah Montana pieces of merchandise, this is one of my favourites giving me as much entertainment as it has for my daughter! The product I will now review is - ?Hannah Montana, rockin? keyboard? This is a half size keyboard, compared to an adults that is. It is of course the obligatory deep purple colour that so much of the HM merchandise usually is! This keyboard literally has everything, from the standard keys for making your own music, through to drum pads and actual songs from the show, perfect for adding your own percussion to the afore mentioned songs. I will start with the most important part, how many batteries it takes! This particular unit takes only three AA batteries, which for the size of the unit is astonishing. Not just Hannah on tour, Kaitlin goes all Slash on ya' ass!

Advantages: Alot of fun for the whole family!
Disadvantages: Not always the most sensitive,playwise.

...As a cheaper and more appealing alternative to the more expensive ?guitar hero? games that you can get, we decided to see if our daughter Kaitlin would enjoy a simpler version, to play on, thus determining if we should fork out for the computer version. The product I will now review is - ?Hannah Montana, pop tour - guitar video game?. This is essentially a guitar with all the game programmed into it, so when it is plugged directly into the television the menu will appear (though you may well have to fiddle with the channels, we had to search a bit to find the channel showing this game), and you can then go through the programme using the guitar controls to navigate the menu. Best of no Worlds

...Hannah Montana has been a huge success on the Disney Channel. The TV series tells the tale of Miley Stewart and how she is "secret pop star" Hannah at night, and a regular schoolgirl during the day. The concept is a brilliant one for kids but harder for those over a certain age to swallow - I mean the only physical change between Miley and Hannah is a blonde wig! The charm of the TV show however is the comedy, particularly the sparring between some of the characters and the "cosy" feel you get from the studio sets depicting the Stewart family home, school and the beach. My daughter is a huge Hannah Montana fan so there was never going to be any doubt we would be going to the cinema to see this film when it was released. I will preface this by saying she absolutely loved it - and I suppose she should. She is 12 and part of the target...

The other side of me

Advantages: Good, Clean, Feel good humour. Talented young cast. Great music
Disadvantages: Sometimes the basic premise falls down. A few weak links in the cast.

...Hannah Montana is one of the few Disney series that still entertains me, even at the grand old age of (almost) 20! Any girl who's ever been a teenager, had a parent, brother, best friend, or ever been made fun of in school will find something in this show! There is enough humour to keep both small kids and bigger kids (me!) entertained for the 20minutes it occupies each week. The Plot Hannah Montana is the newest, hottest, teen pop sensation in town (in Disney TV land at least); everyone recognises her, knows her name and wants to be her friend. But if you looked up Hannah Montana in birth records, she probably wouldn't make an appearance. That's because in reality the pop sensation is actually the plain and ordinary social outcast Miley Stuart, freshly moved to Malibu from Tennessee. Nobody can know about her secret double life...
