...the menu are easily fixed. The picture quality of the screen is excellent, much better than I was expecting. The screen can be easily vied from any angle without the darkening which occurs on some LCD monitors. I've found the best resolution to use is 1280 x 960, anything lower makes all icons rather large and can cause pixelation. Due to the nature of the screen there is no glare. The monitor has built in speakers which can be used by plugging the supplied cable in to your computers sound card. This is not necessary and existing speakers can be used. I personally use external speakers as there is no headphone socket on the monitor. The monitor is energy star rated. The unit itself is compact, the surround to the screen is about 2cm deep. The height of the monitor cannot be changed though it can be tilted and is wall mountable... Read review

...I purchased this, to replace a 15" CRT monitor, and I am glad I did! I paid £119 at Amazon, free postaage and packaging available, but paid the £7 to get it delivered within two days during the Xmas period. Well done Amazon. The monitor itself is superb, very easy to set up, literally plug it in and switch it on. It comes with a normal monitor cable, but also has a socket for a DVI cable. The sockets themselves are at the back (unsurprisingly) recessed into the monitor and point downards, which makes it slightly fiddly to plug everything in. Having said this, it's not an operation you will carry out often so no big deal. It comes with a CD rom, but from what I can tell, it merely has a manual on it. Advantages: Another top action film
Disadvantages: Parts of the story unfinished

...Sometimes, the middle film in a trilogy is the least likable as there are always some parts of the story left unfinished. In some respects this is true of "The Empire Strikes Back" as Hann Solo is left encased in Carbonite untill the next chapter and this does leave you a little disappointed when you are on your way home after seeing the film. However the overall quality of the film and the story more than make up for that and of course everyone even at the first time of viewing was aware that Hann would be O.K. in the next film. Once again the production team came up with a rip roaring action packed adventure with some memorable and moving scenes, notably Luke finding out that Darth Vader is his father. A film to be watched again and again.... Read review

...I use my computer for my work as a Music Copyist, so needed a monitor that was within budget (approx. £150), could give me the clarity on screen that I required, look good and take up far less room than my old, fat monitor. After shopping around both shops and the internet, I came across a review for Hanns-G computer products. The review told me that whilst Hanns-G made top-spec equipment, they sold for a much lower price than their main competitors due to them being a new company who were new to the competition, and therefore wanted to create their own foothold. Hanns-G it is then! That's what I decided, as it certainly narrowed down my search (so many monitors!!). I then decided that the best bang for buck was this 22" model (actual size 21.6").The monitor arrived on a next day delivery which was very fast from http:// www.ebuyer.co.uk and cost £146.97,which for a 22" LCD monitor especially with HDMI is an absolute steal. Advantages: Cheap ish, bright, probably very good for film / games

...After seeing my mates Dell 2007FP 20" 1600x1200 I was really impressed, supposedly no good for games at 16ms lag but I couldn't detect any ghosting. The Dell was spectacular, maybe because of the res, but its £350 so a non starter. I was going to buy two LG 19" for the same money as they seem to have the best contrast ratio, so hopefully the sharpest picture. Having said that.... I believe the 1400 and 2000 LG claim on their monitors is 'contrast enhanced' or something and not a true ratio. I had a Hanns G from argos currently £99 as the cheapest they sold for a test. It was very good, but I thought I'd swap it for the £150 L1919S to see what it was like before buying a couple on line. Bottom line, it was a good bit better than this LG. Frankly, the Hanns G had a much better picture. The picture on the LG is very bright... Read review
