...I use my computer for my work as a Music Copyist, so needed a monitor that was within budget (approx. £150), could give me the clarity on screen that I required, look good and take up far less room than my old, fat monitor. After shopping around both shops and the internet, I came across a review for Hanns-G computer products. The review told me that whilst Hanns-G made top-spec equipment, they sold for a much lower price than their main competitors due to them being a new company who were new to the competition, and therefore wanted to create their own foothold. Hanns-G it is then! That's what I decided, as it certainly narrowed down my search (so many monitors!!). ...! I used the analogue lead that Hanns supplied. This is an adequate length and quality. Ease of set up. The computer already had the Radeon drivers installed. Plugged in the Hanns and fitted the lead started the PC, everything fine. The picture was to one side so this was adjusted back into the middle. The size was adjusted so the picture fit into the screen. The brightness was turned down a tad. I then dived into the display icon on the control panel and adjusted the settings to 1280 x1024 on the 32 bit setting. Adjusted the colour temperature and the contrast too. This is good for the general sort of IT I use. This set up quite disappointing really no chance to play, works very well. General opinions after 3 months. Reliable bright, sharp monitor, keeps its settings. Doesn't noticeably cause any eye strain... Read review

...This monitor was a major jump for me, as my old Hansol CRT had nothing wrong (aside from being bulky, using lots of power, and being ugly compared to today's flat pannels). I put off getting LCDs until now, as I've never found one that can match a CRT for pure picture quality in all resolutions. That said, today's LCD's all still struggle as a trip to PC World confirmed after I spent a long time changing resolutions on all their display models (Luckily their customer help sucks so I had no-one approach me at all and distract me from this experiment). The one monitor that stood out for price vs quality was Hanns G, which has a 22" screen for a 19" price. Advantages: Cheap ish, bright, probably very good for film / games
Disadvantages: No DVI, speakers, poor colour accuracy, not good for work

...After seeing my mates Dell 2007FP 20" 1600x1200 I was really impressed, supposedly no good for games at 16ms lag but I couldn't detect any ghosting. The Dell was spectacular, maybe because of the res, but its £350 so a non starter. I was going to buy two LG 19" for the same money as they seem to have the best contrast ratio, so hopefully the sharpest picture. Having said that.... I believe the 1400 and 2000 LG claim on their monitors is 'contrast enhanced' or something and not a true ratio. I had a Hanns G from argos currently £99 as the cheapest they sold for a test. It was very good, but I thought I'd swap it for the £150 L1919S to see what it was like before buying a couple on line. Bottom line, it was a good bit better than this LG. Frankly, the Hanns G had a much better picture. The picture on the LG is very bright... Read review

...not have arisen and while they were helpful and polite on the phone they seemd to want you off the phone as quickly as possible. My major concern however is that the monitor sent with the system was not the one advertised on their website. It clearly states that a 22" Hanns G monitor is supplied with the system but on arrival it had a Chimei 22". I contacted Cube247 immediately and was told that Hanns G monitor was currently unavailable and that the Chimei was of equal quality. I asked why they had not contacted me and asked if the replacement was ok or I wanted to upgrade the monitor but they said that they did not feel that was nescessary. I have used the system now for coming up on 2 weeks and I feel the Chimei monitor is not of equal quality and has lost its resolution settings several times during this period. ...spends most of her time gossiping about boys or sexually experimenting with the Carver brothers. It is hard to know whether this character is simply nieve and innocent or a conniving female. It probably depends on your gender as to your view! I thought Ricci seemed to be playing a younger version of her character in 'The Opposite of Sex'. Mikey Carver - Elijah Wood The Carver's elder son. He innocently explores nature, within the classroom, in the woods and with Wendy. He is confused about his feelings towards her, and he seems completely under a woman's spell, which is the case with many of the men in this film. Sandy Carver - Adam Hann-Byrd Mikey's younger brother. Sandy is an isolated child and it seems he is crying out for some attention from his absent father and his disregarding mother. ...TV series out of the search ~ because it really must be said that this isn’t a terribly comic book, and certainly isn’t terribly brilliant. What the casual peruser may not gather from a quick glance is that there are actually two books in one here, as well as a bonus lesson in less being more. Dave Gorman writes in bold script, and Danny in plain, but it comes as a little surprise to find Danny writing a lot more. Perhaps he has a lot more to say ~ included here is a great deal of info about how being involved in the search caused problems with his girlfriend Hanne. He also takes a slightly back seat during all the encounters, and can describe both Dave Gormans, what they say to each other and how they get on. It’s just that for those who only know the project from the TV series, where he sat in the front row, and nodded, laughed... Read review
