HANNS-G 19 Inch Monitor

Advantages: Good visuals, inbuilt speakers
Disadvantages: Tinny sound, slight confusion at set-up

.... The screen itself is only a few centimetres deep to it's quite space efficient. The stand however is about 15cm by 20, but at least it's sturdy. The buttons for on-off and changing the resolution and so on are on the right hand side of the screen near the on-off LCD. There're easy to reach and see and have a nice gentle click so it's easy to know if you've presed it or not. When you buy the screen is does require some assembling. There are reasonably good diagrams in the package and slotting the screen onto the stand was relatively easy once I had it the right way round. The screen itself is a bit heavy, which didn't help, but I'm only a skinny 5'3" so I doubt anyone would be completely unable to do it. The wires all go on the back and underside of the monitor. Hanns.G 19inch Flatscreen monitor

Advantages: Cheap, solid
Disadvantages: Not feature packed, problems with high refresh rates, stand not height adjustable

...I've had this for a couple of months now and its been awesome. Cheapest 19 inch monitor ever, does everything a monitor should do and for the price I can't complain. Although not as sharp as others I use (Hp ones at work are crystal clear) does the job nicely and takes up less space on my desktop than my old 19inch crt. Also has digital and analogue inputs. Not sure about speaker quality as I don't use them, but according to some they aren't much good. For some reason with a high refresh rate and resolution setting I get blurring in vertical lines spaced across the screen, but only within windows. i haven't worked out whats causing this yet and I'm not too bothered, but it only occurs on 75Hz refresh, not 65. Thats really my only quibble. Bargain. Get involved....

...are slightly brighter compared to my Clear Resolution Technology prouct. Having watched a dvd many times with this monitor I can honestly say that the viewing experience is really good as it displays authentic colours and genuine colour reproductions. Advantages of hanns g w8180 monitor are that it is plug and play. No need to install anything apart from the initial Computer connection. I had to simply take the monitor out of the box and attach the Monitor to the base stand which was so straightforward. I then connected the monitor to the Power Supply and the Computer port's. This Computer monitor saves so much Room and space that really do make the product a worthwhile purchase. My old Clear Resolution Technology used to take up a great deal of the desk space in my Computer Area. Now this problem is avoided by freeing up so much...

...to upgrade. So, I was looking specifically for a Hanns-G monitor, that looked good, and was in my price range when I found the Hanns-G HU196D. "That looks a bit smart" I thought, so I shopped around on t'internet and found a great price for that exact model - £120 including delivery on eBay (I believe they can be found a bit cheaper now). I have the silver and black model, but it can also be purchased in sleek all-black. The design is simple and un-fussy, with slightly rounded edges that give it a sleek feel. Superb Quality 22" LCD Monitor

Advantages: Price, HDMI (DIGITAL), Superb Quality,Sharp Picture, Widescreen

...I originally bought this monitor when looking for a cheap second monitor to replace an old CRT monitor. It arrived in some very good packagingand was provided with clear and easy to understand setup instructions. The really great thing about this monitor is that it is plug and play, no extra drivers needed. Windows XP has been able to configure it to work. The user handbook comes on CD-ROM in the form of a PDF. This is cleary explains everything you need to know. Adjsuting the picture was also fairly simple. About the only thing that could be said against it is that the built in speakers do not produce a very loud volume, so if you are looking to play videos or games I would recommend external speakers. The monitor is also quite stylish in appearance and you really benefit form the slim design...

...I bought this monitor a few months ago and so far have been very impressed with it. It displays a maximum native resolution of 1680 x 1050 which is a 16:9 widescreen format. I was mainly attracted by the quick 5ms response time which means games and movies look great without any blurring. The screen display is very crisp with vibrant colours. There are no dead pixels and unit seems very sturdy. The monitor is a bit limited by its inputs although it does come with an HDMI in and a VGA in. But no DVI or SVIDEO. It does have a pair of inbuilt speakers along with a 3.5mm jack in. However the quality is very poor from these speakers. The sound is very tinny with little bass. Probably the best monitor for £140

Advantages: 22" for the price of a 19" / pin sharp 1680 resolution

...This monitor was a major jump for me, as my old Hansol CRT had nothing wrong (aside from being bulky, using lots of power, and being ugly compared to today's flat pannels). I put off getting LCDs until now, as I've never found one that can match a CRT for pure picture quality in all resolutions.
