Hansol 710A (17-inch) CRT Monitor
Advantages: A solid monitor that should last well.
Disadvantages: Older model. Depends on required resolution.
...Firstly, this monitor is a few years old and looks to have been superseded by the Hansol 730E, but it seems to have basically the same specifications, so I think it would be fair to apply many of my comments here to this model too.
The manufacturer's web page has further specifications and info on the range of their products:
http://www.hansol-uk.com
**Experience:**
I've had this monitor for 3 years and it's served me well, especially considering the amount of time it's turned on (over 6000 hours at a rough estimate, with 6 hours a day average usage).
**Specifications:**
Capable of running at a maximum resolution of 1280x1024 at 60 Hz, but I am currently running it at 1280x960 (you want to run at a resolution which gives you an aspect ratio of 1.333 (recurring) so that images and text aren't stretched - in case you don't know...

Get your hans on a Hansol
Advantages: lovely picture, one of the cheapest 15" monitors around
Disadvantages: only has a maximum resolution of 1024x768 however this is fine for allbut everyone
...Well it was quite an eye opener for me to see this monitor displaying its picture. Myself going along using dodgy 14" monitors for so long I didnt realise what strides had been made in the monitor industry. Lets just say the Hansol 500A was quite an improvement on my yellowing 14" Fujitsu ErgoPro. Also the monitor has low heat output so its not quite up there with Cheese's 14" Compaq, which apart from being the size of a small house, can double as your heater for the winter. Overall this is a lovely budget monitor with it certainly not being the most expensive on the market so on this monitor I wholeheartedly reccommend Hansol monitors to you all. Incidentally as is standard with 15" monitors, it has a 13.8" viewable area. This is definitely the monitor to go for if you want a brand new monitor and your working on a budget....

I'll have a Hansol 710P please, Bob
Advantages: Nice, crisp picture and good price (if you shop around)
Disadvantages: It is large (well it's a 17" screen) so make sure you have the space
...help in deciding whether or not to buy a piece of kit it's seriosuly annoying.
I set a budget of £200 for my new monitor, and then started the onerous task of trawling the internet, looking at various models within my price limit on various sites such as buy.com, jungle.co.uk, insight.com and dabs.com (I found these to be the best ones). It took almost a week to narrow the search down to a few models, but I eventually picked the Hansol 710P from the vast selection on offer.
As far as the particular site that I bought it from, there wasn’t much to choose between jungle.com and dabs.com for price in the end. I picked dabs.com as they were slightly cheaper (at £159.79) and had the quickest delivery time (so they claimed anyway). The nearest comparative monitor I could find to the 710P was a full £35 more for a similar specification...

Can you count to 19?
Advantages: Rolls along after a slow start, big scope and scale
Disadvantages: The slow start and the fact that I did not really like the characters enough to care about them
...The 19th Wife
What is this story about?
This novel tells several stories simultaneously, switching between three narrators: A contemporary narrator called Jordan is dealing with the fact that his father has been shot dead and his mother, the main suspect, is in jail. His mother is the 19th wife of the narrator?s polygamous father, who lives in the Utah desert in a religious sect (the sect is a break-away from the Mormons)
The second voice is from the 1870?s memoirs of Ann Eliza Young the 19th wife of Brigham Young, Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints (the Saints or commonly known as the Mormons).
The third voice is a contemporary voice of a Mormon academic who is writing a paper on Ann Eliza (the academic turns out to be a descendant of Ann Eliza, the 19th wife).

Adele 19
Advantages: Different styles, some sad, others you feel sorry for the woman sufferung
Disadvantages: Maybe not to everyone taste
...When I first got this album, after the strengths of Chasing Pavements, I decided to purchase this album. I like Amy Winehouse, but not looking good for her. Adele is different in the way she sings, you wouldn't think she was only 19. Her voice sounds Soulful/Jazz going to acoustic and pop. The lyrics are very poignant, in the way that it's way it's sung.
Adele wrote every track and the music
Here is my rundown
1 Daydreamer - This sounds like it's based on a boy who is another relationship, or he cheated on someone.
2 - Best For Last - This sounds like the woman is wanting the man to provide and to treat her right. It feels the woman is getting fed up with the man who seems he isnt bothered about love
3 - Chasing Pavements, This is based on a fight that happened, but to me it's like you don't know where to turn in life. It...

Hansol H550 TFT LCD Monitor
Advantages: Slim, Handles fast moving Graphics Perfectly
Disadvantages: Does not have a Digital Connection Socket (DVI)
...I purchased my Hansol H550 TFT LCD Monitor back in September 2003 and paid around £220 for it. I have always used CRT based monitors before and now having experienced LCD monitors, I wouldn?t turn back.
The Hansol H550 in my experience has an excellent display, with a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 @ 75mhz. It has a 15? screen and because it is a TFT LCD Monitor you actually get to see the full 15? of screen, whereas on CRT based monitors you only usually get 13.2 ? 13.8? viewable. Built into the monitor are two speakers, which are place directly under the screen in the bottom left and right hand corners. This monitor is available in 3 colours, mine being the standard PC white/cream with silver control panel. It is also available in Black or in Silver.
The control panel functions are easy to use, with Mute, Menu/Exit, Auto...

Xbox 360 60 GB with CRT set up
Advantages: price, availability of cheap second hand games, loads of game choice
Disadvantages: expensive extras (such as wireless card), the notorious hardware problems
....
***** setting up and potential problems*********
OK, just for info I set my system up to a standard CRT TV using a SCART lead.
The cable for connecting to the TV is split one side is 3 component cables, the other one is 3 component cables that plug into a SCART socket on your TV. On the end of the cable that plugs into the xbox 360 there is a sliding switch to select HD TV or normal TV (like mine!). However - there was a problem with my Xbox 360 when starting up. You are supposed to be able to start the xbox with the remote control, however I needed to press the power button a few times before I could get a picture and eventually I was getting errors on the tv screen (e74). I assumed this to be a problem with my TV at first and wasn't that concerned as once the xbox 360 eventually started it was working fine. A bit of digging around...

Skoda Fabia 1.9tdi estate
Advantages: Price, economical, comfortable, fast acceleration, vast storage space
Disadvantages: None
...I bought my first Skoda 5 years ago when I retired from my full time occupation. I had intended to buy a decent second hand model but on visiting the dealer, I was so impressed with the estate version of the 1.9tdi Fabia, that I took the plunge.
Having since had 100% reliability, economical fuel consumption , the added bonus of quick off the mark acceleration for an exceptionally value for money price, I am glad I took the plunge as I have not regretted my choice of car.
Capacious boot space that takes all my golf clubs, trolley and more without having to lower the rear seats is also something to appreciate.
I traded that in 3 years ago for the same model but with added extras such as cd player, air con, alloy wheels at what appeared to be very little price difference from the first one I bought.
The ability to gain quick...

LG 19LH2000 - Buy it if you see it cheap!
Advantages: Good picture quality, sound
Disadvantages: None, really!
...My partner bought this TV a few months ago to go in our bedroom. He and I are at extremes of the spectrum when it comes to our viewing habits - prior to meeting him I didn't even own a telly for several years, preferring to cherry-pick from the internet things I really needed to see.
But when we saw this LG in Aldi (yes!) on a deal at £150, it was actually me that remarked first on the value. I?d quite fancied an LG for our main set, but at upwards of £400 for the size we needed then, they?d been a bit too expensive. At 19?, this set was bearable to me for the bedroom, but enough to satisfy my partners desire for ?Soccer am? in bed with bacon sandwiches on a Saturday!
I have to admit, I didn?t set it up myself, so although I would say its quick and easy to do, that may well rely on the quality of help you have available! It took...

My Hansome Hansol!
Advantages: This has to be one of the smartest flat screens around!
Disadvantages: Only a 15inch screen!
...I bought my Hansol H550 from a computer fair in ESSEX for £210, this is a really great price for this quality screen, and I recommend that anyone who is considering buying a screen in particular for their computer, then popping along to a computer fair is a great way to check out the bargains. Not only this, the people who run stalls at the computer fairs know exactly what they are talking about, and for someone like myself who wasn't entirely sure what I was after will certainly find it beneficial to chat to one of the guys there. Another tip is, if you buy more than one thing from a trader at a fair, it is quite acceptable to haggle for a discount, it is expected and can be very generous discounts, its worth a try!
This screen enables me to watch DVD's and films that I download from the internet on my computer, as the screen copes...
