The Doll's House Restaurant, St Andrews
Advantages: great selection of food, good cheaper options, nice ambience
Disadvantages: feeling rushed, rubbish veg selection
...The Doll' House Restaurant in St Andrews is a very popular restaurant among tourists, locals, students, and St Andrews very cosmopolitan transient community.
It is owned by Simon Littlejohn (of Littlejohn's restaurants) and Alex Knight, who I think have owned it for about 13 years together. The Doll's House Restaurant is the flagship restaurant of the group 'House Restaurants' - which also include - The Grill House (St Andrews), The Glasshouse (St Andrews) and The Riverhouse (Stirling). All of these restaurants have their own style, ambience, and each focuses on a particular genre of food.
The Doll's House is a bistro style restaurant which claims it focuses on Scottish cuisine with a French twist - which I think in the majority is true - but their Hungarian Goulash, and the Cantonese monkfish stirfry which I saw on the menu...

Harvester Restaurants
Advantages: Always one close by, quick turn out, children are welcome and catered for.
Disadvantages: Toilets can be quite disturbing, not all dishes taste as good they are described.
...Harvester Restaurants
Restaurant Reviewed: Stag and Hounds
Winchester Road
Basingstoke
Hampshire
(next to Comet and Home Base)
The Harvester chain of Restaurants have over 2000 outlets across the United Kingdom and owned and operated by Mitchells and Butlers, who claim to be the UK's leading operator of managed pubs, bars and restaurants. Harvester claim to offer healthy eating, drinking and entertainment in one reasonably priced outlet.
**** Parking and Getting a Table *****
As with most of the Harvester's I have visited, there is usually ample free parking at the rear of the establishment. However on Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch times these places are heaving with customers, so avoid the crowds, go early and if possible ring and reserve a table. The Stag and Hounds is no exception but fortunately...

Tosa Restaurant
Advantages: Read Opp
Disadvantages: Read Opp
...restaurant. What I liked at this stage, in addition to being given adequate time to choose myself was that the menu was nice and tidy and popular dishes were included. I knew that sushi was a popular delicacy and I was not dissapointed. I also liked that there was a range of skewer dishes as well as Japanese noodles. I decided on choosing a range of pork, chicken and beef skewers. I also at the same time ordered a bowl of noodles and rice. At this stage I was happy with the cheap 50p Japanese green tea I ordered and was happy that I was being given free refills.
The service
After ordering the food, I was expecting the food to arrive within around fifteen minutes, though I was wrong in that the food arrived freshly prepared and well presented on to small dishes within 10 minutes. I also was impressed that the food selections that I...

Happiness is an empty house...
Advantages: It makes me happy
Disadvantages: It may send you to sleep
...worry as important events approach and it?s time for a replacement. So there is never a day I don?t pat my car (it?s an ambulance now) on the dashboard (metaphorically speaking) when it starts first time, ?cheers mate? (no, I?m not superstitious, never).
Crossing it off the list
I enjoy crossing it off a list, to begin with a long list of jobs and seeing them crossed out as I get through them (it?s a man thing). I find a great deal of satisfaction in finishing a job, it could be the bathroom I?m in the middle of right now or the rewiring of our Home cinema, the list just maps progress, gives you that warm, false feeling that your getting on top of things.
An empty house
There are times it?s just nice to be alone and having 3 kids it hasn?t always been that easy. It?s nice though now they are older, when they are all out (one has...

Ze Restaurant!
Advantages: Good show, interesting
Disadvantages: Slightly worse than last year`s
....g Nick and Margaret. The assistants are called Sarah Willingham and David Moore. These two are quite good but David is quite strict and harsh most of the time!
The show has lots of dramatic moments and it is really interesting to see how different people handle all the situations and the pressure. It really does make restaurants look a complicated subject as they need the right concept, food, front of house, pricing, servings and staff to pull off a good restaurant. The people who join the show have all sorts of different personalities and it does make interesting viewing. For example one of the front of house contestants said to a couple ?I guess we won`t being seeing you again, then. ? and walked off after someone complaining!
Overall I find this an enjoyable TV show which in my opinion has got worse this year than previous ones...

* The Bunny House *
Advantages: Funny , Plot
Disadvantages: May Send Out Wrong Message To Young Girls!
...finding out that she is too different to them. However , soon she joins 'The Zetas'. How will being an ex-playboy girl be an advantage to how she is seen by the group ? Watch The House Bunny to find out!
I wasn't really sure what to expect when I first put this DVD on. I was wondering whether it would be another 'try-hard' and 'just-like-the-rest' kind of movie. I had seen Anna Faris in another film before , Just Friends , which I had thoroughly enjoyed and so was hoping that this film would live up to the success of that film.
This film is a good chick flick! Definately one to watch with the girls on a night in with hot chocolate and Ben and Jerry's ice cream. This movie isn't very original , but there is something about it which I liked very much! There are some serious giggles to be had though - so I was happy! I also liked how this...

An expensive Thai-me
Advantages: Good service, nice surroundings
Disadvantages: Far too expensive for the food
...Recently Mr Tart and myself headed to Cardiff to see Michael McIntyre in the International Arena. We had planned to use one of Martin Moneysavingexpert?s to for one deals at a restaurant before the show but due to traffic and parking issues we got there late. Cardiff has changed a lot recently and despite being a former local I couldn?t work out how to get to the restaurants that we wanted as they had planted a massive multi-story where the road used to be. We didn?t have enough time to find another route to it so we headed for the nearest restaurant that could seat us and this happened to be the Thai House.
LOCATION:
The Thai House is located at 3-5 Guildford Crescent in Cardiff city centre. There is a car park opposite the restaurant which you access from Bridge Street. There is some on street parking outside the restaurant...

My favourite Turkish restaurant on Green Lanes
Advantages: Great food, quick, friendly service, inexpensive
Disadvantages: Can be crowded and noisy on weekend nights
... INTRODUCTION
Diyarbakir is a Turkish Restaurant on Green Lanes (A10), in the borough of Haringey, North London, a 7-8 minute walk from Manor House Tube station and practically seconds away from Harringay Green Lanes rail entrance. Undoubtedly, the densest Turkish restaurant population in London, if not, the whole planet, including Istanbul itself. I moved to this area in 2005 and my decision was mainly down to the great value restauration and the Mediterranean (Turkish - Cypriot - Greek - Middles Eastern) groceries having grown up on the stuff.
THE RESTAURANT
You can spot the trays of lovely, colourful daily stews from the street as they are displayed in the window. As you enter, the long chilled counter is on your left with a huge menu board overhead. The decor is simple, now repainted a warm yellow and red. Unlike...

Happyland = Happy kids = Happy house
Advantages: Encourages little minds to think, easy to clean, tidy away and to play with. Great for all ages, including me!
Disadvantages: Some parts have broken easier than expected.
...I was first introduced to happyland last year when my Fiancee bough home a set for our 3 children at the time ages 2, 2 and under 1. The 2 girls (terrible twins) always wanted what the other had, this is where the arguments first started. Over the months (and birthdays and Christmas) our collection has gown. We now have:
- 2 mats that double up as storage bags for the happyland buildings and people, making storage and tidying away so easy.
- My bun and son the bakers and tea rooms
- The post ofice
- Flower stall
- Grocers shop
- Picnic table
- Pirate ship
- Village vet
- Telephone box
- Large 2 story house
- Castle
- Old womans shoe house
- Mushroom house
......and a number of cars and people to go in them all.
The parts are big enough not to pose a threat to my youngest who is 18 months and the 3 children play...
