...As I live all the way up north in sunny Sunderland I sadly don't have a Hard Rock Cafe anywhere near me, but like to go when I can if I'm in London or Edinburgh. This review is mainly based on the London Hyde Park one, the original Hard Rock Cafe in the world. This Hard Rock Cafe is located very near to Hyde Park Corner Tube station and so very easy to access. On arriving you see the imposing front of the building, complete with the Hard Rock motto of Love All, Serve All. Out the front is a seating area. When you get there just head up the red carpet, where you will find one of the massive team of staff waiting to seat you. ...I have been to other HRC in various places around the world. On a recent trip to NYC I decided to take a visit to the HRC. HRC is situated on 57th Street, not far from Broadway. It's in a nice part of town, not far from Carnegie Hall, Central Park, Broadway and the shops - ideal for a trip. It was a Wednesday afternoon in May 2005 and the weather was not great. We found the HRC easily and went inside. Initial thoughts and impressions were pretty much the same as any other HRC anywhere in the world. The lighting was low, the music was rock, the tables and floor were wooden and the waiters / waitresses had the typical black HRC logo uniform on. It was annoying in America because I missed out on it there but still at least I got to go to Planet Hollywood which is also similar and the food is lovely. Advantages: Excellent food, drink and very attentive staff.
Disadvantages: No air conditioning, the heat was stifling!

...My wife and I have lived in Edinburgh for about 1 yr, and have been meaning to go in to the Hard Rock cafe for ages. It was one of the first nice days of the year, and we had just been shopping for clothes for our 15 week old son. The entrance is great you feel like a star entering a movie premier or awards ceremony, they have a red carpet and a big solid doorway with brass menu displays on either side. When you walk in it is very much like an American style diner, with a big bar, and tables leading towards the open kitchen. On the far side there are some booths with smaller more intimate tables.
