...Air Force 1 is the 1997 film starring Harrison Ford and directed by Wolfgang Peterson which takes place mainly on the President of the United States' jet plane, named Air Force 1. It is a well filmed, praised film which pits an on form Harrison Ford against terrorists. It received 2 Oscar nominations and is another tick in the plus column of Ford's films. President James Marshall (Ford) is an ex-soldier. When Air Force 1 is hijacked with him on it, he reverts back into soldier mode to try and save everyone on the plane, including his family. The film has a very basic plot, but is filmed with high intensity to give maximum impact. Peterson does well in controlling this film and not letting it become too cheesy. Disadvantages: Misplaced comedy takes away the rest of the film

...I am now the proud owner of a ford focus 1.6 zetec and for the first time in many years I have actually found a car that pretty muc suits all my needs. I have spent many a time in cars that are too big, too small, not suitable, not comfortable etc but this is everything I could ask for. I own the three door version but the doors open widely and when the front seat is moved forward there is plenty of room to get anyone in the back, even my mother in law who is disabled. The back of this car is extremely spacious, comfortably fitting 3 large adults in. The boot size is deceiving in that it looks pretty small but is very spacious indeed. Perfect for all those shopping bags as well as a childs pushchair. The actual drive of this car is superb. Mine runs on unleaded and is very economical. I can get over 200 miles to £35...

...I always said I wouldn't touch any Ford with a barge pole. That was until I was looking for a new car recently. For the money I had to spend (around 10,000GBP) it was a question of balancing getting a nearly new car against a couple of years old car which would have had a higher list price when new. I decided to go for the option that will (hopefully) cost me less money. I now have a 9 month old Focus 1.6 Zetec with Air Conditioning pack (which includes the heated front screen). Just so that you know the Focus comes in a number of variations: 1.4, 1.6; 1.8 and 2.0 engine sizes and LX, Zetec, and Ghia trims. There is also a sporty ST170 (170 BHP).   Ford's KA - Luxury

Advantages: Great economy, luxury trim, cute car

...I wanted Mrs mfhome to get an MGF or something more "fun" but I wasn't too worried when she decided on a Ford Ka, I'd always liked the styling and her choice of the luxury model meant that I would have all the extras to play with too. The Ka has been a popular little motor since 1996, ours is the Luxury model which we bought new on 51 plates in 2001. The car had great looks with its colour coded bumpers and mirrors, alloy wheels and metallic paint - I think these features are extra cost options on the other models. I don't suppose that they're necessary on this car as it looks good in standard trim. However, given a free choice between a car that is colour coded and one that is not I prefer the colour coded. Ford Focus 1.6 - Shocking!!

...Two years ago I decided to buy a brand new car, and after much research I decided upon the Ford Focus 1.6 (old style now). Everything I had read pointed towards a really good choice. So I went into my local Ford dealer and a week later I had my nice new car. First thoughts were a good looking car, well built, fantastically smooth to drive, held the roads amazingly well. All of the equipment worked wonderfully well and I absolutley loved my new car. Then the problems began.... After two weeks the Airbag Modulator failed, so I went back to the dealer, and they replaced the faulty part within a few days. They wouldn't let me have a courtesy cat so was left hanging around the dealers for a few hours. All work was under warranty so no cost to me. Three weeks after the Modulator fault I was washing the car and noticed tiny rust spots...
