harry potter
Advantages: great film
Disadvantages: n/a
...I am a huge Harry Potter I watched the first film and from there I liked it so much I read the books. As much as I love the film I think you miss out on so much if you do not read the books as there is so much more detail in them that I think the film is lacking.
J K Rowling is a great author and deserves all the glowing reports that she gets she has really captures this well. Harry Potter and the Prisoner is the adaptation of the third book Harry Potter.
Harry Potter played by Daniel Radcliffe
Hermione Granger played by Emma Watson
Ron Weasley played by Rupert Grint
Professor Snape played by Alan Rickman
Professor McGonagall played by Dame Maggie Smith
Hagrid played by Robbie Coltrane
Sirius Black played by Gary Oldman
It stars the actors from the preceding films in the series, except for the role of Albus Dumbledore...

harry potter
Advantages: great
Disadvantages: na
...Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, this is the first installment of the Harry Potter films of the great series by J K Rowling, I had watched this film and then decided to read the book, I then read the rest of the books before the films and I cannot believe the bits that are missed out there is so much more description in the books than the films. But I do realize that the film would last a long time if they put all the details I, but as a film it was great, if you are not comparing it to the book.
Harry Potter is played by Daniel Radcliffe a boy who lives with his aunt, uncle and cousin as his parents died when he was young and they have brought him up every since. A mysterious letter arrives one evening, delivered by a friendly giant Hagrid played by Robbie Coltrane. This letter is inviting Harry to join Hogwarts School...

Harry the potter...
Advantages: great fun for kids-special affects-script and cast
Disadvantages: nothing
...Harry potter thinks he is just an average 11 year old boy celebrating his 11th birthday, but all changes when a giant man named Hagrid and tells harry important stuff about him, he is a wizard. His life gets more intense as he travels to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry to learn how to be a wizard. He meets his new found best friends named Ron weasley, a character who is not very brave and Hermione the intellectual friend, but all is not what it seems at Hogwarts as someone is planning to steal the precious Philosophers stone.
Along the way you will experience much magic and wizardry.
Back around 2002, there were mainly 2 memorable movies like lord of the rings and harry potter harry, but lord of the rings is a timeless classic and will never be forgotten. Harry potter was a good movie but for entirely different reasons...

Harry Potter and the Half-Baked Pants
Advantages: Special effects, performances, only one more book to go
Disadvantages: A mess of backstory
...Once again, the Harry Potter hype machine promised us that this would be the darkest year yet at Hogwarts. And, once again, everyone was too polite to point out that they've been saying this since Chamber of Secrets came out several years ago... But there was a great deal of expectation surrounding this sixth film, based on the penultimate book in J K Rowling's seven volume epic of magical larks in wizardland. So how does it measure up?
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter is not a happy boy-wonder-genius-action wizard when we meet him in a railway station cafe. He's still sad about the death of the character at the end of the previous film, who I won't name because people are still funny about it, even though it's blatantly obvious they're going to die from the outset. Ah well.
Quickly, Dumbledore meets...

Harry Potter
Advantages: Great Read
Disadvantages: None
...-----------------------------------------------------
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone
-----------------------------------------------------
Harry Potter the Philosophers Stone is the first book in a series of seven by the now very famous J.K. Rowling. After hearing about this book I decided that I really wanted to get it and get my head stuck in it. From the day that it was released it?s reputation had been becoming stronger and stronger and since then it has become one of the most famous series of books, not only the book has become famous J.K Rowling is now one of the most well know people from across the world.
Giving some of the detail but not giving to much of the details away the book is basically about a boy who finds out that he is a wizard at the age of 11, and the attends a school of witchcraft and wizardry...

Harry Potter and the randomly included extra bits.
Advantages: Enjoyable performances, exciting action were it exists.
Disadvantages: Some unforgiveable plot changes, simply dull for long periods.
...Harry is convinced by Professor Dumbledore to join Potions class and ingratiate himself with new teacher Horace Slughorn in an attempt to uncover a dark secret. He finds this very easy when he discovers a heavily annotated textbook that gives him all the answers apart from one. Who is the Half-Blood Prince?
"Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince" suffers as all penultimate films in a series seem too, by having too much narrative. The previous installment in this huge franchise was disjointed but wonderfully entertaining. This one however, is often quite dull.
This is a film that is more necessary than essential viewing. Everything is certainly done well with some epic special effects, a great musical score and some cracking acting. However, you cannot escape the fact that very little is going on at times here. Perhaps, this is...

Harry Potter and the half-baked prince?
Advantages: Looks amazing, great humour, stronger acting than before.
Disadvantages: Leaves out a lot.
... Harry Potter and the half blood Prince
On a personal level, this has to have been the film that I have expected most from. Throughout my years of film watching, never before have I been so eager in my wait for a title to be released. There has always, however been one problem with expectations. The end product tends not to meet them.
Being the avid Potterhead that I am, I still went out to see the film as early as I could. The producers had already caused me to wait an extra eight months, by delaying the release date from 19th November 2008, to 15th July 2009. There was no way that I was going to prevent myself from seeing this film for one minute longer than necessary.
The book was originally released in 2005, and it has taken a full 4 years to come to the big screen. I have all the previous films on DVD, and have read...

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: It's A Kind of Magic?
Advantages: Fun; appeals to a wide age range; it's Harry Potter!
Disadvantages: Tries too hard; has lost some of its charm; disparate plot.
...It?s back. Swishing wands, flying broomsticks and one absolutely beautiful castle ? it can only be Harry Potter.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the sixth instalment in the series that follows the triumphs and travails of Harry and his friends as they struggle against the evil Lord Voldemort and his fiery Death Eaters. It is, of course, based on the celebrated books by J K Rowling and if there is anybody left alive who hasn?t heard of Harry Potter then they really ought to have their eyes and ears examined because it must be one of the greatest entertainment franchises in history.
For director David Yates, it must have been at once the easiest of films and the most difficult of films. The easiest because commercial success was guaranteed; when approached to direct the first Harry Potter film, Steven Spielberg described it...

harry potter returns
Advantages: great film
Disadvantages: na
...When it comes to Harry Potter I am a huge fan, although I have come to appreciate that the books have more description in than the film, so the books are well worth reading, you will not be disappointed with the fifth book in J K Rowling series.
Unlike many films that have sequels that seem to get worse the more they make, I think the more Harry Potter films that are produced the better they get and the more addicted I become and awaiting the new release is always something that seems to take forever.
Harry Potter played by Daniel Radcliffe is in the Order of the Phoenix and this is the darkest of the series to date, in this installment you find that Harry is claiming that Lord Voldermort has returned and the rest of the wizarding world does not want to believe him.
Harry also has a crush on a fellow-student at Hogwarts, Fudge...

Harry Potter and the Really Awful Film Adaptation
Advantages: The opening scene is very good
Disadvantages: Most of the film is boring
...I have two Harry Potter traditions, I always see the films with my sisters and with my best friend (seperately). When my family visited last weekend we decided to see the film on the Sunday before they left to go home. Unfortunately after seeing it with my family I had to inform my best friend that she would have to find someone else to watch it with because there is absolutely no way that I will sit through that film again.
-Plot-
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is a film based on the novel of the same name by J.K. Rowling (just in case there's anyone out there who doesn't know). Harry Potter is returning to Hogwarts for his sixth year but the wizarding world isn't the same one that it was a year before. Wizards are living in fear of Voldemort and most of Diagon Alley has been deserted.
During potions class Harry finds...
