The leaky cauldron is also one of the main Potter sites that has pictures and news of the latest Harry Potter film,(Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) which is currently in progress and will not be released untill 2004. It was this site that first revealed who would be playing the major roles in the third Potter film. I found out that Mr Love God, Im sorry I mean Gary Oldman, will be playing Harry's Uncle 'Sirius Black' and they even showed photographs of Mr Oldman in costume! The site has also revealed the extras currently being offered on the DVD of 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets', which will be released on the 11th April 2003. Advantages: Im addicted, superb story

...Harry Potter and the Order of the pheonix. This is a brilliant film. Advantages: Highly entertaining
Disadvantages: Why can't it be a four hour film???

...Wow - what can I say. I didn't think they could condense this book down cause so much happens but they have managed to do it without losing the best bits! Although I would say I could have watched this for another three hours and still wouldn't have got bored! This story needs no explaining. But if you haven't read the book and only seen the films then you will not be dissapointed. Harry is once again an outcast at school, as only very few people believe him in that Voldemort is back! The Ministry is telling everyone that he isn't and so everyone believes it. Hogwart's is also being taken over by the Ministry and sees all teaching of spells banned. This is where we see the introduction of Dumbledore's Army. The adults in Harry's world have meanwhile have regrouped hte Order of the Phoenix and so Harry isn't completely on his own... Read review

However for one reason or another I never quite made it to the cinema. The DVD was released to the public this week, on Monday 12th November, and, despite hoping to purchase it immediately, I did not manage to view this film until yesterday evening. ...I pre-ordered this book from waterstones for £8.99 it was a £3 deposit instead of paying the full amount of £17.99 which i would say is a reasonable price for the book. I started reading this book the day i bought it and it took me a week to read it as i have a little boy to look after. This is the last book of the Harry Potter sereis and i thought it was excellent. Harry Potter and the deathly hallows consists of 600 and something pages but once you start reading the book you don\'t realise how much you have read as you do get engrossed in the book and it doesn't take long to read it. Harry Potter and the deathly hallows is about Harry Potter finding Hocruxs and breaking them as they contain Voldemorts soul and help Harry find Voldemort and kill him. Advantages: It's thicker than the last book!

...Harry that should he return to Hogwarts, his life would be great danger. As Harry refuses to stay with his relatives, Dobby tries to get Harry to promise he will not return to Hogwarts... in the worst possible way. As readers of Harry Potter books will know, wizards under a particular age may not do magic outside of Hogwarts by order of the Ministry of Magic. But as noble as Dobbys intentions are for protecting Harry, Dobby ends up doing magic in front of Uncle Vernons dinner guests, thus angering Harry's uncle. However Harry's uncle, is not the only one angered when Harry recieves an official letter from the Ministry of Magic warning Harry that he would be expelled should there be any sign of magic at his residence again. ...**THERE ARE NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW What Is It? Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the long awaited DVD/Blue Ray/HD movie released on the 11th of November 2007. I am reviewing the Blue-Ray version and not the DVD/HD version that may slightly differ. This is Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts in JK Rowling's highly successful series of books. Blue Ray I didn't know much about Blue Ray until my brother got a PS3 and a new TV but it actually, in some respects, it's the next generation of viewing films. You need a Blue Ray player (which will also take DVD's) or a PS3 that a lot of people are doing. Basically having a blue-ray disc is a higher quality and sound than a DVD. I think it does improve the standard of watching. Blue Ray discs tend to be more expensive though, as they need more work by the lovely people... Read review

...! This film is based on the first book, and since I never read it before, I can safely say I had an unbiased, unexpected frame of mind whilst watching the film. The film starts off with the baby Harry Potter being left at a door step somewhere in Surrey by Albus Dumbledore, a wizard played by Richard Harris. We learn of some evil that has happened and how in order to protect Harry, the wizard has to leave him there to be cared for amongst Muggles (non - wizard people). Harry Potter grows up in the house with his step-parents Vernon and Petunia Dursley and their spoilt brat of a son, Dudley Dursley. He lives in a understairs cupboard and is treated like a slave around the house often being abused by his step-parents. Harry doesnt realise he is a wizard and has no communication with the outside world, until one day a letter arrives for him... Read review
