...the aftermath was disgusting, dirty smelly water all over my living room. I removed the carpet and sofa and had a good clean up, after this I contacted my insurance company who sent somebody out and 2 weeks later a cheque had arrived for me to get new carpets and sofa's. Me and my wife popped up to Harvey's in Milton Keynes and had a good look around at all the sofa's on offer. The insurance company would only pay for one sofa but had given us £550 to do so, not ideal as you can't have two odd sofa's however in Harvey's it seemed we could afford two leather sofa's with the cash. The salesman was very good taking time to show us all the ranges and explaining the benefits of each especially with the amount of kid's we have and the state that our old sofa's had got in through them. I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. Multitalented - Peej is, playing bass, guitar, and piano - and even drums. Darn, didn't think I'd get round to writing this review, but I just had to force myself to do it - well not literally, and writing it isn't such a bad thing, but her music is just so diverse, and you can have so much to say about it -well I certainly have. I must say if you haven't heard of Peej, you have to listen to her stuff, as I now love P.J Harvey. P.J is just one of a kind, all her ideas are her own, her music doesn't sound like anyone elses, and is truly unique and original. This is a high class store which is situated in the heart of Leeds City Centre's main shopping street, Briggate. ...The count down for ages to see Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh open was finally coming to an end. After weeks of hearing about it finally the day had come for the open day. I didn't go the first day though because it would be too busy and I hate going on the first day. I went about a week and a half later thinking it would calm down but no, still mile long queues which could take up to 20 minutes to get in. I was in a rush and couldn't wait in the heat to get in. I know it may sound strange when I say heat but Scotland can have it's Autumn summer days. Kitchen Studio itself is a designer, supplier & fitter of kitchen units, work surfaces & appliances. Having recently moved into a house with a kitchen which was barely fit to prepare food in, a new kitchen was high on our list of priorities to sort out. We had a look around the various offerings, and made a shortlist of a number of suppliers - Moben, B&Q, Kitchen Studio, and Magnet. All of the various vendors will point out how much better their stuff is over and above anyone else's, but the long and short of it seems to be that there is actually very little in it quality wise - they pretty much all offer similar finishes, with basically vaneered chipboard doors and cabinets. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging.
