Advantages: Excellent strategy game for age 10 and above
Disadvantages: Need a strong bladder as games can be long.

...satisfy myself with ruling the world through the more genteel game of Risk although anyone who has witnessed the Atticus family playing the game will realise that genteel is not the right word. Any family where each player has their own victory dance which they perform with every victory however small cannot be called genteel. Risk is a highly successful board game made by Hasbro that has been in existence for many years. Anything from two to six players can take part and for two player games there is a slightly different version otherwise it would become a little boring. The ideal number in my opinion is four players as this means that you do not have to wait too long for your turn and also with this number there are enough players to ensure you will be defending territory quite often and also the possibility of forming alliances exists...

MINIATURE HEROES (AND VILLAINS) !!!

Advantages: Fantastic Star Wars toys ideal for younger fans. Chunky, cute and collectable !!!
Disadvantages: The popularity of Galactic Heroes makes several of the more popular characters hard to find

A "Bear" Of A Tale

...On a recent trip to visit my Sister, she got out a "toy" for Georgia Grace to play with. The Toy. = TJ Bearytales. TJ is manufactured by Hasbro, which is an American Toy Company. It is one of the largest in the world, second only to Mattel. It is sold under the "Playskool" logo. TJ Bearytales is an educational toy, it sits with your child and tells stories. TJ has an American accent, which by no means distracts from the bear, he is cuteness itself. In a lovingly "made by Mom" look blue waistcoat, TJ is around 12 inches tall, although he sits down. He has the most beautiful green eyes, which look into your childs. His face is animated by moving ears and eyebrows, blinking eyes, and moving mouth. His arms move as he tells each story. He is a "Golden-Brown" colour, which I think looks really cute for a Teddy...

No longer Downfall as I knew it - more like a bit of a letdown...

...truth be told) I decided that one day I would buy another set, and hence bought this downfall set for about £8 from Toys r Us. I did see that it had "New Downfall" on the front, but genrally it looked like the same game with cogs and counters. It is made by Hasbro under the MB games name. So is it the same game as classic Downfall? Yes and no. If like me you remember the old version you may be disappointed. They have tried to jazz up the old faithful design, and there are a few differences. The old one was a plain blue wall type design with inlaid white cogs whereas, as yo can se from the picture, this new version is all funky red and yellow cogs sort of stuck together to look a bit more contemporary. These are replicas suitable for children to play and recreate their favorite characters using Dress Up and Roll Play.
