Advantages: A brilliant "child friendly" version of a classic favourite retro toy !!!
Disadvantages: Hasbro seems to have forgotten about Megatron (???)

...which locks the robot down. When the switch has been pressed the friction mechanism is disabled and the toy works like an ordinary toy car and can be pushed along in free wheel mode ... this is a great feature and the Cyber Slammer toy in this mode becomes a great little vehicle for whizzing across the lino !!! ~~~ OPTIMUS PRIME ~~~ The Cyber Slammer I bought for my son was of course Optimus Prime. Transform and roll out!

Advantages: 2 toys in one
Disadvantages: Plastic design is easily broken

Transformers review

Advantages: Entertaining
Disadvantages: Not much in the way of story

...Transformers is a big-budget blockbuster about two extraterrestrial factions, the heroic and selfless Autobots and the evil Decepticons. Teenager Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) unwittingly gets involved in their war as the transformers come to earth in search of the Allspark, each with different intentions for it. A lot of people will be put off by Michael Bay being the director, he is not known for his intelligent, thought provoking films, quite the opposite in fact, some may even say his films are all flash and no substance. And Ok, he's no Kubrick but he does what he does better than anyone. He can do action very well, and this is why he was a good choice for this film. Even Pearl Harbour had fantastic action scenes, I wish they could do a 'Michael Bay' cut of Pearl Harbour in which there would be about 40mins of action and that's it...

Transform A Snack

Advantages: A decent crisp...
Disadvantages: ...Kind of

...Another culinary delight for you here (and it is a delight!), that is the world-renowned Transform-A-Snack...well, renowned in parts of the UK I guess... One walking around a local Tesco Metro yesterday lunchtime I came across these bad boys right next to the Space Raiders...of course, the first dilemma was which one of these to choose. Both were 25p, 28 gram bags and undoubtedly awful compared to some of the other crisps on offer, but easily the cheapest! I've risked it all though and gone for the "TAS." They come in a 'spicy' flavour, which fear not, just tastes like tomato rather than some outlandish spiced products from the sub-continent...oh wait, we're talking about budget crisps here... Most people will remember these from their youth, the same with Space Raiders, but the packaging has improved slightly from what I remember...

Advantages: Fast-paced, action-packed, great fun to watch.

Transformers movie

Advantages: thrilling, pleasing fun, easy viewing, good story, all the family
Disadvantages: nothing realy, unless you look extremely hard, then you may miss the mistakes

...Wow what can you say; this is a brilliant movie, and this coming from a fervent follower of the transformers. At 31 years of age I am the prime age (pardon the pun) to enjoy this comeback for the autobots and the decepticons. This film has been produced in a manor fitting the huge following the transformers have. I have spent the last year buying generation 1 toys I never had as a youngster. Back to the film though, the fact Optimus prime is a bull nosed truck was easier to take then expected, you also think how can they have made the film with the original cars and trucks when they would be 20 years out of date. This taken they do look magnificent, the story line lends itself well to the history of the transformers and not going of on a tangent makes for good viewing. ...With my little boy being a fan of Transformers I've had to become well practiced in the art of transforming his toys from car to robot and back again, there are a few I've still not mastered so I was delighted when he started playing with Transformers Activator toys. Activator Bumblebee is from the new "Transformers Animated" series, which features most of the favourite movie characters, albeit some of them in new forms. Bumblebee is still a vivid yellow and black sports car which turns into a robot, he's well detailed and matches his TV counterpart well, not quite as detailed as the retro or movie toys but more angular in the features, an almost softer version of the Japanese styles. at just under 4 inches tall in robot mode the toy is perfectly sized for my 4 year olds small hands but he has another feature which fits him...
