Disadvantages: turns all 'bitty' on the skin and difficult to wash off!

...While preparing months and months in advance for my honeymoon for the Maldives, I came across this website - www.hotspot.co.uk. A very impressive site too, may I add. It is actually the website of the suncare brand Hawaiian Tropic. While surfing this site, I noticed that as well as it set out like 'More' Magazine with there being different pages to click on, for instance ..... *Travel Zone *Competitions *Hot tips (yes, this includes guys and sex) *Horoscopes *Model Search *Free txt messages - which are actually quite good one you register(free registration), etc.... Also there is the hotspot shop! I found this excellent for buying my suncreams from. There was also a tempting 'on-going' offer. That if you buy 'blah blah' suncreams you get this other free and that one free, Oh and a free baseball cap free saying hotspot.co.uk. Well...

...When I've run out of my usual Nivea Sun Moisturising Sun Spray I took with me to Mauritius, I went to the supermarket with the intention to buy the same product again. However imported goods cost so much here that when I saw the price nearing the £10 mark I started looking for a cheaper or local brand instead which I hoped was just as good in quality. Hawaiian Tropic, a worldwide sun care brand from the US, promised to do just that. The packaging As most Hawaiian Tropic products, the sun spray comes in a tall and flat 200ml orange bottle with a spray nozzle. The shape of the bottle fits nicely in the hand and any bag where space is limited. Apperance and application I've always preferred sun sprays as opposed to lotions and that's because of the easiness of application without the tomato sauce bottle effect...

I am reviewwing the SPF 6 because this is the one I used on my most recent holiday. THE PROMISES... *The product claims to contain the "unique" fragrance ot exotic fruit and flora, including mango, papaya and passin fruit. *It is waterproof (one article i read about it stated that it is waterproof for 40 minutes which seems very specific) * protects skin against sun damage and ageing * moisturising *Absorbs IR rays (although i don't know what they are!) ...A constant battle that we fair skinned visitors to the Florida shores (or any other climate that is graced with a modicum of warmth) continually wage is the need for ultimate vigilance in the face of the subtropical sun. It is all too easy, particularly in those first few bliss filled days, to forget just how hostile that sky can be. I am not sure that it matters really what brand of sun cream is used, so long as it is applied regularly and liberally ? and that extreme care is taken to limit exposure particularly in the late morning and early afternoon. ...of the latest editions I tried is the Muller Healthy Balance Corner: Tropical and Granola. The Healthy Balance Corners have been available for a while, but only recently have they introduced the 'and Granola' range. Before trying the tropical one, I had sampled the strawberry option, which I adored. There is also a raspberry one but I am struggling to find it. With such a great success from the strawberry and granola corner though, I was looking forward to this one incredibly. These Healthy Balance options come in a pack of two, unlike the other Corners which are sold either separately or in a multi pack of six. The yoghurt, this time like the rest of the Corners, comes in a white split pot, albeit slightly smaller than usual. The cardboard sleeve around it is a bright red colour, with 'Healthy Balance' written in large white block lettering...

...-0- TESCO TROPICAL JUICE DRINK -0- I do most of my shopping in Tesco as it is very near my home. If I am in Brighton City Centre I will then go to Waitrose or Marks and Spencer. But to be honest, Tesco has just about everything that I could want, food wise and all under one roof. I also buy online with Tesco if I am quite busy any particular week. What I think is great about Tesco is that they offer a 'Value' range for people on a bit of a budget. These items from the value range are extremely good on the whole and excellent value too. On our last shopping trip we purchased amonst other things a 2 litre bottle of Tesco Tropical Juice Drink. It was a good size bottle and costing only 99p. ...Hawaiian tropic complete care after sun after bath I tend to buy a lot of the Hawaiian tropic products when we go abroad because i like the smell and they remind me of holidays spent in the sunshine. I had never tried this one before but decided it was worth a go because I have never had any problems with the products before. WHAT DOES IT DO? Since this doesn't just market itself as an after sun, but rather as complete body care, i am expecting something great from it, although even before I use it, I do expect it to be merely an after sun/moisturiser...not cynical, merely a realist. This is an after sun/after bath product so I believe that makes it the kind of product which can be used all year round as a body moisturiser, unless it is for after the bath when you have previously spent the day on the sun.
