Disadvantages: turns all 'bitty' on the skin and difficult to wash off!

...While preparing months and months in advance for my honeymoon for the Maldives, I came across this website - www.hotspot.co.uk. A very impressive site too, may I add. It is actually the website of the suncare brand Hawaiian Tropic. While surfing this site, I noticed that as well as it set out like 'More' Magazine with there being different pages to click on, for instance ..... *Travel Zone *Competitions *Hot tips (yes, this includes guys and sex) *Horoscopes *Model Search *Free txt messages - which are actually quite good one you register(free registration), etc.... Also there is the hotspot shop! I found this excellent for buying my suncreams from. There was also a tempting 'on-going' offer. That if you buy 'blah blah' suncreams you get this other free and that one free, Oh and a free baseball cap free saying hotspot.co.uk. Well...

Advantages: Protects, moisturises, smells lovely, waterproof, cheaper abroad

...When I've run out of my usual Nivea Sun Moisturising Sun Spray I took with me to Mauritius, I went to the supermarket with the intention to buy the same product again. However imported goods cost so much here that when I saw the price nearing the £10 mark I started looking for a cheaper or local brand instead which I hoped was just as good in quality. Hawaiian Tropic, a worldwide sun care brand from the US, promised to do just that. The packaging As most Hawaiian Tropic products, the sun spray comes in a tall and flat 200ml orange bottle with a spray nozzle. The shape of the bottle fits nicely in the hand and any bag where space is limited. Apperance and application I've always preferred sun sprays as opposed to lotions and that's because of the easiness of application without the tomato sauce bottle effect...

I am reviewwing the SPF 6 because this is the one I used on my most recent holiday. It is all too easy, particularly in those first few bliss filled days, to forget just how hostile that sky can be. I am not sure that it matters really what brand of sun cream is used, so long as it is applied regularly and liberally ? and that extreme care is taken to limit exposure particularly in the late morning and early afternoon. ...of the latest editions I tried is the Muller Healthy Balance Corner: Tropical and Granola. The Healthy Balance Corners have been available for a while, but only recently have they introduced the 'and Granola' range. Before trying the tropical one, I had sampled the strawberry option, which I adored. There is also a raspberry one but I am struggling to find it. With such a great success from the strawberry and granola corner though, I was looking forward to this one incredibly. These Healthy Balance options come in a pack of two, unlike the other Corners which are sold either separately or in a multi pack of six. The yoghurt, this time like the rest of the Corners, comes in a white split pot, albeit slightly smaller than usual. The cardboard sleeve around it is a bright red colour, with 'Healthy Balance' written in large white block lettering...

I buy my oil online (ebay usually) and it costs me about £6 per bottle which is a good price for this, however I've noticed that Netto have it in stock soon at £2.99 (woohoo) so I will be stocking up on it ready for any more holidays next year. *Please remember that it's different for every skin, so remember to reapply according to how your own skin is in the sun. With a SPF of 15, this means you can stay out 15 times longer than you usually could without sun cream before getting burned so reapply often as burning/cancer is just not cool. Claire. xx...
